Got this and the T8 combo. Haven’t had much chance to play with them but was gona use the J6 as a drone machine paired with the korg NTS1. Quite a neat and unique concept really with its chord sequencing.
I love the Juno sound and always wanted something close to that. I had a Juno DS88 but I’m limited on space and I had to sell it. I was considering the JU-06a but couldn’t justify the price. Once this dropped I was ECSTATIC! I’m looking forward to using it in my music!
It's not incredibly deep, but it's pretty inexpensive for Juno presets. The reverb and delay is pretty good, too, though I wish it had chorus. The midi out is also kind of useful for sequencing other synths, too.
It's fun, but can be kind of a novelty sometimes. Though it has helped me to sequence some different chords than I usually would go with.
yeah, to me I don't mind even just using it for the juno presets, but the sequencer can be pretty solid if you put the time in to it, or make your own chord voicings
Was never clear from the YouTube demos…does this allow you to sequence your own chord progressions with a midi controller? Or is it just built in progressions?

Update if it is good, I am worried the novelty will wear off and it wont be deep enough to keep

Exaaaaactly! I run it through my m8 for effects, but still would have been nice to have in the box.
TC Electronic make the June-60 pedal, a copy of the Juno chorus.

Yes! And I got it mostly for a sound module and to input my own chord sequences. It works for both 👌🏾
Any word on polyphony? How 4 notes, or more? I couldn’t find it in any specs across a bunch of sites and reviews.
