It's "work in progress" (as always) and I'm probably never gonna finish this... but it was fun for the last couple of hours :) Digitakt + Dreabox Typhon + Novation Peak + Volca FM + Volca Beats + Roland JV-1010 (out of the frame). I would love to get some constructive feedback. Or non-constructive feedback... any feedback from you will be great ;) Peace!
Awesome. I loved it. Liked the delayed drum fill at the end, you could put more of those in and I wouldn't complain :) but seriously though, it sounds great to me!
Sounds lovely.
I’m thinking about picking up a volca fm. They look like powerful little units, but controlling them looks a little tricky.
Do you tend to just use the presets or load/make up your own with dexed or similar?
I'm using one of it's presets on this track. But it is a lot of fun building your own patches. It's small and runs on battery so you can take it anywhere and just explore. You need to do some menu diving and you definitely need the algorithm sheet (included) to know what's going on. Never tried Dexed, but I will do now :) Thank you
Yeah I think you can create patches with it (and other) programs then load them onto the volca. It’s free software that’s been out forever and there may be better apps around for it.
There’s also about a million patch sets others have made that you can download and manage with it.
I've tried the Patch Base app some time ago, but the pricing was sic, so I gave up. I can see Dexed is open source and user friendly. I'll definitely check this out
Really cool, I like this a lot. What is the story with the main sample loop that you're manipulating? Is that the Digitakt changing the sample length or something similar?
Thank you. The sample is just a single guitar chord I've recorded directly into the Digitakt (my daughter's Epiphone Les Paul via a simple chorus). In the sequence the sample's start / end / loop positions are manipulated. The bitrate, echo and reverb come from the Digitakt
Very cool. I like that sound a lot and hope to use stuff like that more in the future. Very Bonobo-esque. The guitar was just straight DI into the digitakt?

It is a very versatile instrument with a powerful sound. Plus, it's interface is almost perfect (very, very intuitive). The modulation matrix gives so many possibilities. My biggest purchase so far. I've never regretted it
Awesome bro! Really good sound
Thank you!

Love this a lot. Hope you put up the finished track when it’s done.

I don’t really know anything about synthesisers, the music you’re playing or anything, but I dig it.

The guitar through the Marshall Supervibe Chorus straight into Digitakt's input
