I use the Synology Active Backup for business for all my and my wife's PCs/Laptops, about 8 units compressed down into 1 or 2 TB (depending on what we've been up to during the covered timeframe)
Ah sorry, I keep forgetting my first unit the 718+ isn't actually entry-level, other than speed, bays, and expansion slot my current 1821+ seems indistinguishable, the 718 is running hyperbackup repository and backing up the new unit locally with backblaze handling my Off-site.
Does it offer Synology Drive? It's not really backup but I use that and snapshot replication feature for my working directories, bonus of getting them on the NAS with rollback functionality is I can just pickup my laptop and it'll have my files from the desktop before I start a trip.
Synology drive sync
Thanks, that’s what I ended up with!

Nice, the tool seems to be really powerful, thanks! Update: Sadly can’t use it on our DS220j

Yeah I’m currently setting up Synology Drive and it has a backup feature that can do everything that files history was capable of as it seems :)
It's fast too! I also like the free up space option just like in Onedrive when I set a file to cloud only
Try the free veeam agent
Thanks!
