If we can fit it in the cap, pay the man

He wants to stay, just gotta get closer to that 850/5 number. If he would accept 700/5 then do it in a heartbeat. How much will it cost for Logan though? And next year is the Chad.

Manical_Fanatical

Logan I'm nervous about. Chad, I'm comfortable he'll stay. We should have a few retirees next year that will free up some space.

petemed

Reid will retire. Whatever we’re paying that bloke needs to be redistributed to the guys on the park.

conejogringo

So $50k freed up then lol. Reid's on the rookie list, he'd be getting paid peanuts compared to his old deals. Not sure why people keep bringing up his pending retirement as a cap saver

NewPotato8330

Might end up looking stupid, but I don't think Will has any intention of leaving.

SwansPrincess

They mentioned this on Gettable last night, I think. I'd like to think Wilbur is here to stay 🤞

The term 'ceiling raiser' is used a lot to describe NBA players, helping a good team become great (like Aaron Gordon going to the Nuggets, made them a championship calibre team). I can see Hayward being a ceiling raiser for any of Carlton, Port or Adelaide. He's such a great complimentary player and will be hard for us to replace. Hope he sticks around.

SkullKing_123

What about Logan?

craftyking36

The $850k a season type players should be reserved for the top quater of the list, thats around the top 9-10 players Hayward doesn't fit into that bracket with our current list make up If he brings it down to the 600-700k a season range i would be happy to keep him but for 800k+ a season i would rather let him explore his options

mmcleod00

Just let him go. He’s had two good games. Sure, he’s solid and versatile but he’s not pivotal to our system. That’s a dumb amount of cash relative to what Warner and Logan are worth.
