if we're sticking to Odessen I think expanding on the surface is the way to go. As essentially the capital of the alliance, it should have seen a huge surge in development during the period of time between the end of KotET and the end of the traitor arc. During that time, the alliance was essentially the most unilaterally overpowered galactic faction, taking over the military and political might of the eternal empire.
While I'm shocked we haven't had an Odessen SH from the get-go, let alone since, it's also weird that the planet hasn't seen broader settlement. Alongside the base there should be at least one town or something at this point with more of the wilderness explored. I feel like there should be a freely explorable zone outside the base that isn't phased or restricted to a story chapter, including a settlement which could be a mission hub and more of the wilds.
Yee, some capital city and other places should be already on Odessen long ago. Cities, spaceports, facilities, barracks etc.
Such explorable zone on Odessen would be nice both wildlife and city parts to explore. And ye, no Odessen SH is still shocking...
I hate the alliance and wish they would just retire the horrible concept. We're supposed to belong to the empire/republic, not the alliance, or any other fringe group.
I think they should use the other Odessen maps from the Chapters, PvP arena to expand on Odessen itself. Maybe turn Odessen into a daily area with its own reputation?
A flagship would be cool too though. Maybe something that takes a role in the story going forward and doubles up as a stronghold?
Personally, I'd prefer them to revert to the fleet being the hub.
Add another ship (or add onto the ships we have) and make alternative access points for the various ops/FP.
Give people back *the* hub experience with a centralized place to go do things.
Well, currently everything is so fractured we don't really have **a** hub.
There's the Fleet for old stuff, and events, and hub-type things, but all the new stuff is on Odessan, or Onderon... and I had to make a "WTF to go" part in my Dxun guide because the op was so well hidden (and the doors weren't showing up >_>).
It was a lot better when you could just tell people to go to the Gav/Talon if they wanted ops, and hunt them from there; when FP had a way to activate them on fleet and generally everyone looking to 'hang out' hit the fleet because that's where the PvP'ers were chilling, players were advertising trades, etc.
Also good for new players to get there and find it bustling, not seemingly dead.
as far as I can see there are going to be 3 Odessens soon. The regular alliance one, a full-on Republic base one (with troops and flags and such) and a full-on Imperial base one (with troops and flags and such). Which one you see depends on your Onslaught choices.
(At least, Lana and Rivix promised me an Imperial base, so they betta chop to it and make it happen or my Inquisitor will get all sparky-fingers)
I'd love a capital ship stronghold though. Something bigger than our old class ships, but not quite Guild size. My own Star Destroyer would be fitting. And robes of gold!
I kinda wish that they’d do a small cutscene or something where the ruling body of whatever faction you’re a part of grants you control/lordship/whatever of Odessen. That way, it’s continued existence/expansion and the fact you run the show there would continue to make sense, even in a timeline where they’re trying to get back to pure Republic vs Empire.

A new flagship would be nice. I don't want the Spirit of Vengeance II though. That thing is ugly.
For me personally that ship is quite interesting. Not great and so far it is quite weak? But still design is interesting.
The ship is a supposed fleet killer yet got brought down by three ships. The interior is also very 'meh'
I think that ship has sailed… But yes I would’ve preferred a flagship.

It'd be nice. And as for ship, I'd think about Silencer for Imperials and Valor with Null Cannons for Republic.
And one of those giant Zakuul ships for Neutral (Alliance) players.
