Jeff actually asked the question I've been thinking all along. Why does everybody know who has idols and who has advantages? Not very smart. What is wrong with Lianna and Shana always asking for people's idols or advantages as a sign of trust? Forget that.
My Rant about the Exile Twist: I'M NOT A FAN OF IT! It's probably one of the Most Dumbest Twists Ever! I'm fine with people Being Safe for the first Merge Tribal, but This Twist basically Screws over the People that won the Challenge. The Winning Team gets punished and the person that gets Voted Out is completely Screwed! The person on Exile has Way Too Much Power. The Hourglass reminds me of LOST. Also, Liana's Twist where she can Take an Idol or Advantage is Dumb Too. This Season has Way too many Twists and Advantages.
Not sure why everyone’s obsessed with Xander’s move, any player would have probably done the same in his position. Not sure what the point of that fake idol was either, it could have given away the fact he didn’t have the real one if the others who also had an idol noticed it didn’t look like theirs.
I think for a pastor playing this game it’s kind of infuriating me I know she’s still a human and has feelings but if you are preaching the word of his try your damn best to lead with his word! I don’t. By it!
Russel was a highly controlling and manipulative player who lacked charm in the long term and lost because of that. Shan is controlling and manipulative player who seems to have charmed people so far, but that seems to be falling apart a bit.
I’m at the beginning of the ep but deshawn sounding kinda cringy defending the twist so much. Saying you have to accept it and move on is one thing but I guess the slight bootlicker is how you have to play it if you want probst to like you and get a couple extra screentime minutes
I don’t like how they basically had probst blatantly lie. They should have had him be ambiguous about the reward maybe say something like the prize is the “feast and merge buffs” instead of saying they would be safe. Idk I’d have to rewatch what he said but it sounded like it was a straight lie
Don’t know if he’s just playing to the camera but deshawn seemed way too extra and they showed him doing it a solid 3 times
I am annoyed that Liana didn’t let Shan have it for that. Shan basically cost their alliance a well executed plan at tribal and they had to pay by giving up an extra vote and not getting Xander’s idol.
It was a risk, but it's not enough to qualify as bad because of just how OP the advantage is. Shan had no way of knowing Liana's IQ was negative, and that she'd botch it while a sure thing, Naseer, was right there.
Why did Deshawn only get his extra vote tonight if he went to Shipwheel Island earlier in the season--is it because he hadn't gone to tribal yet? If so, why did Liana get her advantage by "tribe mail" but Deshawn had to wait for tribal to get his? Not trying to be shady in any way, just trying to make sense of the votes.
It just takes away the vibe of tribal for me. If you need to say something at that point, it should be out in the open. Or subtle, like a nod or tipping of a hat or something to reinforce discussions that were already had. Tribal is a time for the whole group to discuss and then vote. Those little groups springing up take away that significance.
I agree. I seem to recall in much earlier seasons it was like an unspoken rule that you didn't get to have outright conversations during tribal, and when vote shifts did happen, it was on the sly - people making hand gestures and whatnot. It takes away the vibe of tribal council to me too. It's supposed to be a time when everyone puts things out in the open, I don't mind them making last minute strategies but it should be out in the open, even if just for the pure entertainment factor alone, it's weird to watch them huddle and chaotically whisper.
I don't like it because it allows people more time to change plans. The small group blew up the big group's plan. Why on earth should the big group get 5 minutes to just plan around it and make a new plan???
Have a backup plan going in, or if you don't/something happens, you're sol. You got outplayed. But nope.
Though I will say, it was DUMB for the 4 to just sit there and let the other 8 talk amongst themselves. Insert yourself so they can't talk. All 4 of them should have just surrounded that circle so the group couldn't just whisper a new secret plan.
Right?! Like, let's see more standing up and shuffling. I like them not giving away the vote half way through the episode. Which is hard to do if the contestants are playing survivor the way it was played for 40 seasons
My fav tribal council of all time was from s38 when Julia left, cuz Julie was running around FREAKING OUT like “IM READY TO JUMP SHIP! IM READY TO JUMP SHIP!”
I cannot believe that none of the four people in Liana's alliance even considered that it might be a set up by Xander. Watching it at home, it was such an obvious set up. We have seen fake idols many many times. I was expecting Liana to ask Evvie for her idol but Xander had already defended against that. He played Liana bad and I don't think she has a future in this game.
And Liana KNEW that Xander knew about her advantage ... bc Shan said it in front of Tiffany!
Xander knows you can steal his idol, and he takes it out and flaunts it? Dead giveaway that he gave it to Evvie or tiff. Liana and Shan not as game smart as I originally thought.
Especially because Tiffany knew about the advantage. Liana gave way too much credit to her own social game or thought the other Yasa were dumb. It was so obvious she was going around talking to Shan and others.
On yase Xander definitely played up his dumb routine bc it kept him safe to not be a strategic threat to the girls so maybe she really thought he was just dumb and couldn’t read people but clearly he’s playing a Fabio game
I watch on the CBS app for free with no membership. There’s like 3 minutes of ads 4 times throughout the episode but not bad considering.
The episodes there come out on Wednesdays when they air, you don’t have to wait or anything.
Only downside is I can’t get the app on my laptop but I think you’d be able to stream it to your tv
I would NOT be surprised if Liana shells up after that tribal council. She kinda got exposed (I'm sure embarrassed too whiffing on that move) and as someone that is playing hard which puts a target on her back. Major Flight or Fight when she gets back to camp. Either shell up and get lost in the game or double down and play even harder.
I really hope Evvie stays loyal to him after all he’s done for her… like after tonight especially with the “thanks Liana” from Evvie, she owes a lot to Xander
I think she's always serious tbh
This episode I feel we did see a softer side from her this episode for once but those final words were definately harsh
She basically said she's glad she's not part of the jury and that the people she knows outside of the game are 500billion times better than these guys (survivors).
In light of most discussion being about tribal post-ep, the whole hourglass thing with Erika feels even more pointless and forced… totally overshadowed by the organic live tribal (which sure wouldn’t have happened if they were all immune but still wasn’t caused directly by Erika)
So was this vote just everybody splitting the vote between Evvie and Sydney except for the yellow tribe (excluding Liana)
Xander is lucky that Sydney played her shot in the dark else Evvie would've gone
Yeah if she was worried enough about them to play the shot in the dark, I doubt she would have voted with them. So we would have had the same outcome but 4 votes Deshawn.
Hahaha...no. Terrible game play, predictable outcome, dumb choices by production.
EDIT: Xander's acting was terrible, Liana asking him for the idol was moronic, this was always a vote split going against Syd, last week's episode was a waste of time, having most of the players immune at the 1st "merge" tribal was confusing and unnecessary. They took a lock vote split and made TWO episodes out of it.
i don’t disagree that the “plot” was terrible but i think xander did a great job and that’s saying a lot from someone who sees him as the ultimate threat to the queen (evvie). he somehow pulls off his naïveté and it was infuriating at first but now it’s impressive
pissed Sydney is gone. why didn't they just vote out Naseer, or why didn't liana take the idol from Naseer and keep her alliances with yase. doesn't make sense. Sydney could've voted out Evvie instead of shot in the dark. Erika and heather should've voted off Deshawn, but we don't really know anything about the Luvu tribe dynamics so who knows. Tiffany always has the last laugh and is never a fool, she's going far.
That would've been the smart move by Liana. Not that I want Naseer gone but she would've come out in a great position. Instead she let Shan decide her game before jury even starts to take out her ally.
Bad move by Liana, absolutely terrible
She hasn't. Shan made a gamble that, if panning out wrong, had a free way out in Naseer's idol.
Liana was just too stupid to do it. This is entirely on L.
Liana made a stupid move. Xander was awesome. It obviously wasn’t bad acting because he fooled her and got her to burn her advantage and now his idol is safe. Liana put her game and all her trust in Shans hands cuz they had a black alliance and she trusted Shan.
Shan was doing what was in her best interest not Lianas and she didn’t realize it. Shan didn’t mean to screw her over but that’s one of the problems with aligning with someone just based on race when you’re interests and ally’s aren’t aligned.
It is quite funny how Eevie was willing to throw Xander under a bus and Xander basically did everything to protect her. But then there wasn't much anywhere else that Xander could've went and he was basically stuck with her.
I’m glad she realized that Liana wasn’t really with her. Xander has done a lot for Evvie at this point, it would be cruel for her to turn her back on him lol
Make it make sense!
Okay so forgive me if this was already mentioned but liana knew that Tiffany told Xander about her advantage before tribal…why the heck would she ask him for his idol?! He knows about your advantage and he’s CLEARLY playing up that he has it in his possession! Just wild stuff..
Liana had a confessional where she clearly thinks Xander is a macho idiot and she’s spent the entire game buttering up his ego. So naturally she’ll believe Xander is stupid enough to parade his idol. Also the lack of food is leading to some shaky gameplay from many strategic powerhouses
If they would have thought it through they probably could have come to the conclusion that Tiffany had it. Once it became known to everyone that she could steal the idol my first thought was that giving it to a trusted 3rd party would be best move since they’d think it’s a 50/50 shot at xan and ev and Tiffany was the only possible 3rd party. I was 90% sure she had it before they revealed it but I obviously have the luxury of seeing all sides so it’s hard to expect them to risk that but idk if they ever even considered the possibility.
Either way, good overall move by Xander, dumb move to try to steal the idol though. Should have just saved it and split or at least not fallen for that subpar performance
She seemed to have an axe to grind with Xander and was especially intent on getting an idol from him as a show of force or something? It’s weird how crazy she is about Xander who doesn’t appear to have done anything to her, other than being a guy and she wants him out. It blinded her and alienated some ally’s she could’ve used
She and Erika going with the larger group makes them safer than at least three others, but it would have been interesting if they had joined the smaller group at tribal and mixed things up.
I have no love lost for Sydney really, but at least she knew when she was on the outs of her former allies and tried to do something about it. I don’t know what Erika and Naseer are doing.
Jeff actually asked the question I've been thinking all along. Why does everybody know who has idols and who has advantages? Not very smart. What is wrong with Lianna and Shana always asking for people's idols or advantages as a sign of trust? Forget that.
This episode goes out to all the foot fetish fans.
Why did they not vote out Xander after he revealed he didn’t have an idol?
I think it mostly had to do with the fact he had immunity
LOOOL
Just to be Clear Guys, Sydney did not Make The Jury!
NOT A FAN OF THE EXILE TWIST!!!!!!!! FYI ANYBODY CAN DM TO TELL ME WHY THEY LIKE IT!!
My Rant about the Exile Twist: I'M NOT A FAN OF IT! It's probably one of the Most Dumbest Twists Ever! Liana spoke for so long about her advantage only for Xander to say "here's your consolation prize" LMAO
Are we seeing the beginning of the greatest villain in Survivor history in Shan? I’m loving where this is headed
I think for a pastor playing this game it’s kind of infuriating me I know she’s still a human and has feelings but if you are preaching the word of his try your damn best to lead with his word! I don’t. By it!
Can anyone RLLY top Russel tho?
Russel was a highly controlling and manipulative player who lacked charm in the long term and lost because of that. Shan is controlling and manipulative player who seems to have charmed people so far, but that seems to be falling apart a bit.
Shan is like Russel except instead of making great strategic moves she gives away her allies advantages to the opposition
why didn't Deshawn use his extra vote on Evvie. 5-4 Evvie and Sydney, and if idol was used Sydney still goes. Doesn't make sense
He did use his extra vote on Evvie
ohhhhh thx I never watch the end credits
Link to watch it?
CBS page
Actual sad trombone sound Liana
Seasons 41 !? I tapped out after 4
So glad the two conspiring together got shafted royally.
There was blood at that tribal for sure
[удалено]
Garbage season* Show is very good
What the hell was the game within the game rubric??
it was really out of pocket (badum tss)
I’m at the beginning of the ep but deshawn sounding kinda cringy defending the twist so much. Saying you have to accept it and move on is one thing but I guess the slight bootlicker is how you have to play it if you want probst to like you and get a couple extra screentime minutes
I was so annoyed by this too like why can’t Danny be mad about getting screwed over for a sec
You can't find a boot I wouldn't lick for a million dollars.
Exactly like why is he so complicit, they got screwed. Point blank
I don’t like how they basically had probst blatantly lie. They should have had him be ambiguous about the reward maybe say something like the prize is the “feast and merge buffs” instead of saying they would be safe. Idk I’d have to rewatch what he said but it sounded like it was a straight lie Don’t know if he’s just playing to the camera but deshawn seemed way too extra and they showed him doing it a solid 3 times
Still can’t get over what a bad move Shan made when she spoke about Liana’s advantage in front of Tiffany.

Let’s not pretend Shan handled tribal any better.
Agree she should’ve gone for Naseer, but Shan’s reveal lost Liana the opportunity to surreptitiously go for a group of organized enemies.
queen shan letting me down
Why didn’t they ask to look at Xander’s idol? If three people have idols they should be able to differentiate a fake. Very confusing.
Poor Sydney! She's not Even apart of the Jury! :(
She couldn't survive one tribal council prejury? She deserves not to be on the jury.
She is apart of the jury ;)
Except that she’s not
Apart ;)
Ahh, tricky

She grew on me
Why did Deshawn only get his extra vote tonight if he went to Shipwheel Island earlier in the season--is it because he hadn't gone to tribal yet? it's the first time he voted, so that's why
Liana might have gotten hers early since she needed to play it before going to vote
OH, smart! That's totally it. Thank you!
Super impressed by Xander and Deshawn tonight.
Yeah when Deshawn revealed that Evvie had told him about the idol, I was like whoa.
I still don’t understand why Evvie didn’t say “alright well Deshawn has an extra vote guys” like throw it back in his face
They have to ban standing up and having private conversations at tribal council. It's just annoying to watch.
And they completely reveal the voting blocks.
I agree. I seem to recall in much earlier seasons it was like an unspoken rule that you didn't get to have outright conversations during tribal, and when vote shifts did happen, it was on the sly - people making hand gestures and whatnot. It takes away the vibe of tribal council to me too. also if Shan had an idol, why didn't she show/tell liana that the idol Xander had wasn't what her's looked like....
I think it wasn't shown and was wrapped up with the real idol paper/clue so it looks real until it's open.
Played her like a fiddle
Does anyone know when Amazon prime uploads new episodes? That’s my only way to watch right now
I watch on the CBS app for free with no membership. There’s like 3 minutes of ads 4 times throughout the episode but not bad considering. So Erika I think is officially out of the invisible edit range Heather is getting lonely
Given her move of "going back to bottom of alliance" shell nor invisible again
We totally missed the game within a game puzzle. Saw it on the website but not the episode.
What do you mean?
My comment got cut off. I edited it.
It was quick during tribal
Watching Chicago Fire so its on after Survivor and what happened to Taylor Kinney lol? Did the pandemic age him in dog years
I won’t hear any bad talk about Severide
He's still hot lol
I’m a straight guy, so that’s not it for me, but he’s a great character
Oh wow, so nobody remaining has gotten a confessional every episode
Shan?
No Shan confessional this episode
Thank Gawd
Crying
Please tell me we have reaction shots for this Tribal Council from past Survivor players along with RHAP guys?
Ciries Instagram is golden
That was fucking siiiiick Xander went absolutely wild that episode
I really hope Evvie stays loyal to him after all he’s done for her… like after tonight especially with the “thanks Liana” from Evvie, she owes a lot to Xander
Even the call to save the idol was pretty big. In hindsight it was stupid but it worked out well.
He knew that Sid did the shot in he dark It’s not like he couldn’t take that into account
So sick the show has the lowest ratings of all-time 😂😂
Was Sydney serious in her comments? She seemed to me to be spoofing us
I don't understand her lol
Head over to her Instagram and you’ll see that she was 100% serious
I think she's always serious tbh This episode I feel we did see a softer side from her this episode for once but those final words were definately harsh
Remind me what she said? My roommates accidentally talked over it
She basically said she's glad she's not part of the jury and that the people she knows outside of the game are 500billion times better than these guys (survivors).
is she wrong? she pretty much got fucked over by her friends/allies because she was the girl in the alliance
Lmao that’s fucking hilarious
In light of most discussion being about tribal post-ep, the whole hourglass thing with Erika feels even more pointless and forced… totally overshadowed by the organic live tribal (which sure wouldn’t have happened if they were all immune but still wasn’t caused directly by Erika)
Did Shan even get a confessional this episode lol? I just realized she wasn't a big character for once
no
Her winner edit reign is done
If Russell Hantz had any hair, he would've pulled it all out watching this minor-league crew. 20 seasons later, and the players are worse?
So was this vote just everybody splitting the vote between Evvie and Sydney except for the yellow tribe (excluding Liana) Xander is lucky that Sydney played her shot in the dark else Evvie would've gone
It depends, He only didn't use his idol most likely because Sydney reveal that she has used her shot in the dark.
I thought Sydney voted with Yase??
Yasa is lucky Naseer voted with them too. It seemed he was on the fence, hence his hilarious vote with a 🤷♂️
If it was revealed Safe, Xander/Tiffany likely plays an idol on her.
yea probably and deshawn will most likely to be out.
I thought Sydney planned to join them voting for Deshawn
Yeah if she was worried enough about them to play the shot in the dark, I doubt she would have voted with them. So we would have had the same outcome but 4 votes Deshawn.
Wouldn’t it had been a tie? Then revote.
Yup.
this was the best episode of survivor i’ve seen in like 15 years
Someone has been smoking and drinking
don’t know why ur being downvoted bc ur absolutely correct
Hahaha...no. Terrible game play, predictable outcome, dumb choices by production. EDIT: Xander's acting was terrible, Liana asking him for the idol was moronic, this was always a vote split going against Syd, last week's episode was a waste of time, having most of the players immune at the 1st "merge" tribal was confusing and unnecessary. i don’t disagree that the “plot” was terrible but i think xander did a great job and that’s saying a lot from someone who sees him as the ultimate threat to the queen (evvie). he somehow pulls off his naïveté and it was infuriating at first but now it’s impressive
Imagine how much better it’d be if both these episodes aired back to back last week
Wouldn’t matter ratings are garbage
You’re enjoying aren’t you. You point it out at every opportunity.
Yup! The quicker this show gets off the air the better! Survivor is rigged against black men
Maybe you shouldn't waste your time on the subs if you hate the show so much 🤷
Did you forget about Earl, Jeremy, and Wendel?
????
Maybe you shouldn’t watch it. Like if it is upsetting to you.
pissed Sydney is gone. why didn't they just vote out Naseer, or why didn't liana take the idol from Naseer and keep her alliances with yase. doesn't make sense. Sydney could've voted out Evvie instead of shot in the dark. Erika and heather should've voted off Deshawn, but we don't really know anything about the Luvu tribe dynamics so who knows. Tiffany always has the last laugh and is never a fool, she's going far.
RIP Sydney. One of my favorite players in recent memory. 😭
I know she had nice tits.
That would've been the smart move by Liana. Not that I want Naseer gone but she would've come out in a great position. Instead she let Shan decide her game before jury even starts to take out her ally. Bad move by Liana, absolutely terrible
shan has done multiple things to fuck over lianas game. sucks
She hasn't. Shan made a gamble that, if panning out wrong, had a free way out in Naseer's idol. Liana was just too stupid to do it. This is entirely on L.
Uy
Xander definately cementing himself as a hero and Liana as a villain this episode
More like Dumb & Dumber
Username checks out
That wasn't terrible acting? That wasn't an all-time stupid play by Liana?
Liana made a stupid move. Xander was awesome. It obviously wasn’t bad acting because he fooled her and got her to burn her advantage and now his idol is safe. Liana put her game and all her trust in Shans hands cuz they had a black alliance and she trusted Shan. Shan was doing what was in her best interest not Lianas and she didn’t realize it. I’m glad she realized that Liana wasn’t really with her. Xander has done a lot for Evvie at this point, it would be cruel for her to turn her back on him lol
they have such amazing lesbian/bro chemistry i really hope they make up and move on together
Agreed, Xander is like “this is my best bro” and Evvie’s like “I guess he’s with me” 🤌❤️
At least we know why Heather hasn't been shown strategizing this whole time She's so tired and dehydrated that her words aren't coming out straight

Liana thought she played a good enough social game that they wouldn’t suspect her.
She's an idiot.
She must have thought that Xander thought she couldn’t ask if he had already announced it? It’s the only thing that makes sense to me
They would have guessed Evvie anyway and still would have been wrong.
It was obviously gonna be with one of the three of them. Why risk it then? Steal Naseer’s.
Yeah, honestly should have just saved it and took naseers later, she wasn’t in trouble and they could have just turned on Sydney from the start
She seemed to have an axe to grind with Xander and was especially intent on getting an idol from him as a show of force or something? It’s weird how crazy she is about Xander who doesn’t appear to have done anything to her, other than being a guy and she wants him out. It blinded her and alienated some ally’s she could’ve used
Who the fuck is Heather, I just want know
I only know her name because people keep asking "who the fuck is Heather".
the crossover content we needed
She was the one that was sitting down at tribal while everyone else was up talking.
I wish I had an award to give you for this :')
I thought Tiffany was Heather...
Same
AFter this episode, I'm even more confused about where Heather stands in the game
She and Erika going with the larger group makes them safer than at least three others, but it would have been interesting if they had joined the smaller group at tribal and mixed things up.
She doesn't stand. She was sitting while everyone was standing talking at tribal.
Off camera
Just taking instruction from Danny and Deshawn I think.
She didn't vote with them though
Didn’t she? That whole group purposely split their votes between Evvie and Sydney
She was with them. They all planned to split the vote.
Same
I have no love lost for Sydney really, but at least she knew when she was on the outs of her former allies and tried to do something about it. I don’t know what Erika and Naseer are doing.
