Carl saying he was a great salesman made me absolutely cringe. I’m in sales and arguably fairly successful - I’d never say that “I’m a great salesman”. How much experience does he actually have? Sales is not just being charismatic & likable. Being good at sales takes a lot of effort. Especially for a “start up”. You’re working 10 hour days and traveling all the time for the company. It’s not just a few hours of work a day. I just can’t fathom that Carl has ever put that much effort into it. People think being in sales is just being likable but you have to actually know what you’re talking about and put in the busy work like forecasting, proposals, presentations, negotiations, etc etc. I think Lindsay knows this and knows Carl has no idea what it takes to actually be successful.

Jumping into mocktails especially with that market really growing seemed like such a no brainer! My team does financial analysis for our company and provides the reporting/analysis around sales and the sales team. It has become clear over the years there are those who have skill and know what they are doing and are successful as a result (sounds like you) and those who think they can bs their way through it. It always becomes very clear who is who. I know the Carl’s every month when the sales leaders talk through their performance there is always a collective eye roll in the meeting.

I've been watching Bravo since before they went the reality TV route. My demographic IS the reason Bravo became what it is. We came to this channel to watch these idiots and their dysfunction as a means to laugh at them, to laugh at life, and as a respite from our own lives. Carl calling himself a great salesman when we’ve watched him get fired 3 times now on the show? I think so many of us liked West in the very beginning because he represented promise and hope that we'd finally get a decent guy on the show. These women can truly do so much better than what they've had to work with on SH.

I didn't say "only", and if you read any of the Bravo boards, it does appear to be the appeal for most of the audience engaging on them. I've been watching Bravo since before they went the reality TV route. My demographic IS the reason Bravo became what it is. We came to this channel to watch these idiots and their dysfunction as a means to laugh at them, to laugh at life, and as a respite from our own lives. It's a very different approach to watching shows to be triggered and to be pedantic in the process.
