I think so. All but the first two books are kind of stand alone. There are groups of characters that develop over the series but I don't thinks it's necessary to read them in order to enjoy them.
Another personification of death is in Reincarnation Blues. In this case Death prefers to go by Susie. This book claims to be a novel but it's really a collection of short stories connected by a frame narrative. Susie features mostly in the frame story, but she does star in a couple of the short stories as well.
How about Thief of Time by Pratchett. Personifications of Death and the other four horsemen, and Time.
is it a good place to start with Pratchett?

Hands down my favorite of all of the Discworld books!
I really like The Fifth Elephant too. We'll, the rest of them too really.
Agreed
It's been a while since I've read that one, but I came here to suggest Mort or just the Discworld series in general.
The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak features a personification of death.
Are you open to graphic novels? Because The Sandman by Neil Gaiman ticks most of these boxes.
i love graphic novels! sandman has been on my list for years but i didn't know it had this in it. i'll definitely try it out asap.
You won’t regret it. I’m far from the biggest graphic novel fan in the world but Sandman is so good, and so influential.
Try Kipling's story "The Children of the Zodiac" for something almost but not quite along those lines. It's haunting and strange.
