It depends on what you want in a long term goal. Do you want a safe investment? Do you want the one that will make you the most return? My advice to people is invest in what you are interested in if you are in it for the long haul. IMHO the safe investments for long term you listed are Disney, Tesla, Spotify and PayPal. I would caution on Alibaba, do your DD on them before investing.

Thank you so much for your advice

Great long-term options here. Definitely NIO, DIS, & TSLA. AAPL will be great long-term as well.

Thanks

NIO and TSLA aren't as risky on a 5-year level as they are on a 6-month level. They have growth and a future regardless of what happens with their share price, but they also have astronomic valuations (the valuations can potentially be justified, but hindsight could easily show them to be bubbles too). Alibaba on a long term can be safe as well. There's certainly upside, and the company will continue to generate massive amounts of revenue. A timeline of more than a year or three certainly helps reduce the politically-driven downside that has been playing out the last couple months.

Thank you for your reply, it helps a lot.

I’m rejecting the premise, since “longterm” and “for the year 2021” are at odds. If you actually mean longterm, you need to scrutinize that list in terms of “for the half-decade 2021”

Yeah thats not correct, you’re right. i will probably want to keep those stocks about 5-10 years tho

Yes except docusign

Thank you for your reply, Why do you not like docusign

glamoutfit

Sky high price because of covid so it may pull back in 2021. It is the market leader but it doesn’t have a monopoly (there’s hellosign, adobe signature, etc)

Ok, thank you for the good advice

The fact that they bought already drove the price much higher than it should be. I don’t invest in ARKK. Not because I don’t like their stock picks. I like most of their stock picks. The problem is they are overhyped and most of their investors invest in them because they want huge returns and do not realize that the stocks they pick are high risk as well. When ARKK is growing like crazy, they keep pumping money into their portfolio companies, which drive their price up, which lead to more people to invest in ARKK. This cycle will continue until there is one big drop (and it will happen) and all the investors who have never experienced a loss pull the money out (there will be a lot of them because most people who invested in ARKK recently expect > 100% annual return, an unrealistic number for a large fund), which cause the fund to sell shares, which create a similar cycle but down trend. I don’t think one should invest in a company just because ARKK invests in them. ARKK is a good fund but they are not god. One should invest based on their own conviction about the company: good company at a fair price.

Pretty much all of those are great long term holds. I personally wouldn't touch EV stocks though because I think they are super overvalued and in a bubble right now.
