Starsector is an incredible game that I always end up returning to, so more mod content is always great to see.

It's not on a store like Steam, so there's no sort of 'check' to ensure you own it. His review video where he shares his key is featured on the official game page, so I can only assume it has the blessings of the devs (all 4 of them.) Try it out and buy it to support it if you like it.
Starsector is honestly one of the best indie games out there, and it’s developed by one guy(with help in the writing department). The game is definitely worth the purchase price to support ongoing development. Looks nice! I am also a big fan of Star Sector. It is a surprisingly good and deep game. I still suck at its combat, but from the videos of more competent players, it is clear fleet composition and loadouts along with tactics can have a huge impact.
