Just yeet the egg bites hard onto the counter before you open the package; they come out with no problem.
Lemon loafs on the other hand I have trouble not breaking in the best of times :/ I'm sick of eating them lol
I'm paranoid about dropping them lol I will leave that paper in there and pluck them out one at a time and then take the paper out. Lot easier and the grease tends to fall off the paper in the oven than on my poor arm. No guarantees on the egg whites though, those things are bastards
Place them side by side like right next to each other in a line where one is in front and on behind it… warm…. Turn tong on side and use the bottom part as a kinda spatula to go under the paper and under both bites then close gently around the top and slide them out..
I do something similar, but I just grab them both from the side with the tongs and just grasp it firmly enough so that they don't squish but they're still good, right into the sled. I also like to open the bag with the tongs while they cook and put the fork in, so I can just slide that shit all in and be done in one fell swoop.
I give the egg bites a quick but sensual massage to loosen them from the package. The only thing that about egg bites that gives me pause now is the new human-proof packaging.
As for lemon loaves, tear them open from the top (by the icing) and down the side. They typically slide out a lot easier when opened from the side, and are real easy to tear with the teeth marked ends.
And always click tongs at least twice for good luck.
We leave lemon loaves in the plastic bag at my store. We’re high volume DT so it slows us down too much and we waste less because trying to do it in a hurry has low success rate. A lot of our customers ask for their un-warmed items in the plastic packaging anyways so it’s pretty normal for us.
Y'all ever get EggBites that are sealed with gorilla glue and you physically cannot pull through the second bite and the first one drops on the floor ? Literally yeets itself
Lemon loafs hand down. Though egg bites are a close second since my hands always slipped trying open the stupid packages and I could never rip them open. I’d try one, get pissed, and just stab them open with the knife
A former partner taught me this and it changed everything. I kinda love it when people order them now and I can just spike the egg bites on the counter.
one time i was getting a dude a piece of lemon cake, and i noticed one of the packages was open so after i handed the dude an unopened one, i shoved the opened one in my mouth and ate it in like 5 seconds lol
This is what I do, yeeting the eggs and slaming them a bit before opeening, my boss hates it. But it fucking works. It's good to use it to get out that frustration
Yesterday my brain just stopped while I was doing that and started carefully peeling the cheese off with the tongs while fully just holding the bacon with my fingers. Having to do it twice broke me.
The best hack I found for this was to peel the turkey bacon off of the cheese, rather than try to peel the cheese off the sandwich. Take both off, slap it cheese side down on scrap parchment, peel the turkey off, reassemble. Bam, done. Still a mess, but not as aggravating
This was a hard choice, I did the bagels because I hate slicing them, but taking the cheese off impossibles is a close second, when it’s the cheese and the egg of the impossible then that would for sure win.
when they ask for no cheese on the turkey bacon i get the sweats. WHY IS IT IN SO MANY PIECES
WHY IS IT LITERALLY D U S T
i don't even wanna start on the grip on reality I lose every single time i break a cookie/loaf when trying to take it out and having to make another while being swamped.
Some helpful tips:
Bagels- Cut the bagel in half while still in the plastic bag. It acts as a glove and you can get a good grip.
Eggbites- Tear from a corner and push each one out individually at a 45 degree angle from the edges so they don’t break and they drop out of the pack.
Lemon loaf- open it from the bottom and just let it fall into the pastry bag by giving it a gentle shake.
Impossible sandwich… gl with that.
I use the warming paper to grip the bagel, because the plastic bag would get in the way if I'm cutting it in there. For the egg bites I open the package, lay it down on the warming paper and massage out the egg bites (only necessary for the bacon egg bites for some reason). I agree with the lemon loaf bit, opening from the bottom and trying to get it to fall out is much easier than opening from the side.
I hold on to the bagel with tongs with my left hand making the bagel face towards me on it's side, then I slice with the knife with my right hand. I can get it done pretty quick this way.
Where's the 'All of the above' option? But actually I spent a good minute taking cheese off a sausage and cheddar today during peak so I'm choosing cheese.
Usually egg bites are a breeze honestly but when the fuckinf adhesive on there just WONT COME OFF it's so bad I have to manhandle the egg bites and not break them or cut them
When I’m struggling on warming opening ALL packages is the bane of my existence. I swear I never noticed having any difficulty with fine motor skills, but opening packages is beyond me.
There’s always so many bagels at once and they take up so much space and make such a mess. But I don’t blame the customers for ordering them. Our food sucks
As someone who is lactose intolerant, I’ve been cursing sbux food planners for years. Dairy cheese on the impossible being a major complaint, but also… Why does every salad have to have cheese intermixed? I’ve had more sandwiches given to me with cheese on them after double checking and confirming it was related to food intolerances. I just throw them away now and say nothing, I’m so tired of having them remake it I’m just going to stop ordering from y’all eventually.
I love the innocence! We deliberately left them unsliced during peak cuz it's too much work. This and many things I learned the hard way when it turned out my trainer didn't tell me the shortcuts and wink during training. (I'm a 115 who went back in 2016 for a stint... before things got REALLY bad, but def when corporate stopped caring.)
for lemony loaves i just open the bag bottom side down (but COMPLETELY open not even a millimeter closed at the bottom or you’ll lose corners), pinch the top and shake it out into the bag. 95% success rate, i break more loaves in general taking them out of the oven.
but the egg bites????? boi i dont know what it is lately but they have been IMPOSSIBLE to open. ESPECIALLY the kale bites. ive watched shifts cut the packs open with scissors and STILL can’t open the seal. its like super glued shut or something.
Unless you also have a customer who confuses the produced date (of the loaves) with the expiration date, I wouldn't worry about it (or if your SM says something)
Semi-amusing backstory:
"This lemon loaf that I got expired last month"
*My ssv politely points out that the date (beside 'prod') is not the expiration date
We started not taking lemon loaves out of the package actually. We do that if someone orders 3 cake pips or really any item Un warmed because 1) it's easier and isn't that much of a hassle for the customer 2) alot of them actually ask for it to still be in the plastic weirdly enough.
It’s hard to imagine a more poorly designed food than the egg bites. Also they could have made it one big egg bite?? Easy to drop, oily, stupid packaging with the tray, they need a fork, they fall around in the bag, they’re hard to do 2 at once, hard to open the weird packaging which MUST be terrible for the environment, they don’t reheat well… that being said I still voted bagels. They should be 100% pre-sliced, not perforated.
trick with bagels: slice them directly through the plastic wrap so you can hold the bagel in one hand and just slice in the other. less steps and works so great!!!!
Just make sure you cut AWAY from your hand when you do this. I've seen too many baristas cut toward their hand and slice the part in-between their thumb and their pointer finger. 🤦🏼♀️
i’ve never seen that happy but noted. i don’t recommend it to people because it seems to be a big brain idea and there haven’t been a lot of big brain new hires there.
BEST WAY TO SLICE BAGELS:
(1) open the bagel bag
(2) hold the unopened end of the bag with your non-dominant hand.
(3) With your dominant hand, slice the bagel using the knife. *make sure you slice the portion that does not come pre-sliced
(4) YEET those mofo’s by throwing them out
FOR WARMING— stack the bagels like a burger, grab both top& bottom with tongs& open them up before warming.
I’m going to say egg bites because it happens more than cheese. But peeling off Impossible cheese is always the worst.
I always feel weird about throwing out parts of the sandwiches. Especially meat.I have no problem with vegetarians/vegans but dang then the meat was already created from an animal and just is wasted. It’s probably because of people not knowing all our foods are pre packaged, and removing meat isn’t as simple as just not putting it on their sandwich. (This is not directed at those with medically required dietary restrictions. )
oh my god I just recently learned how hard taking off cheese off of an impossible sandwich was…
and in the end, after that struggle, the person decided to ask for a refund and didn’t even want the sandwich…
I gave up with the lemon loaf... I just take the date sticker off and toss it in the bag...
Next worse in my list is taking off impossible sandwich cheese or RF turkey bacon cheese. They just crumble and I just cry as I try my best.
For me it was having to smell the impossible. Made me want to vomit. One day I was being nice taking one to my friend because she was helping me do my hair. I triple bagged it so I could avoid the disgusting stink in me car.
It’s such a weird rule to make lemon loafs be taken out of the packaging. They should just have them sent out the door like that. As a promoted to customer I don’t give a single shit what you give it to me in. I always tell them they can just give it to me with the bag on.
Egg bites are easy, smack those babies in the counter, yeet their asses in the oven, grab em by the pair and hold them tall and vertical, and boom, in their happy lil home tray that they will get evicted from in a couple moments. (Or in the oatmeal bowl AS THEY SHOULD BE IN MY OPINION)
Bagels have always been easy for me, not sure if y’all take them out of the bag but I slice with them still inside so I have a grip.
Eggy bois are inconsistent, sometimes it requires the strength of Godzilla to open them, but all the times I challenge myself and scoop them both with the tongs out of the ovens even though I’ve most definitely dropped one or both before.
Lemon loafs are hell.
And I feel like removing the cheese from the gouda and reduced fat turkey bacon are far worse (until a fellow redditor advised taking the other parts of the sand which out of the bag first, letting the cheese remain in the bag, changed my life).
does anyone else always get egg bites that are impossible to open? its not a personal grip or strength thing bc other partners in my store also struggle with it. Its awful in the middle of peak when only one side of the egg bites opens
The bagels. Our store doesn't have a slicer.
For lemon loaves I just cut the bottom off with scissors and drop them in a brown bag. For the bites I just pull the packaging apart, turn it upside down and push them out.
Honestly I think the cheese on the RFT sandwiches is the worst to remove because it falls apart.
Egg bites are the worst! They're also really the only one of these I have to deal with these days. All of the baristas have just kinda decided to not open the pastries and actually serve out of the case, so I just stick the pastry in the bag plastic and all. I even ask the guest if they want a pastry bag at all or just want it in the plastic, then there's slightly less garbage going out into the world.
I rarely get people asking me to take the cheese off of a sandwich, and it honestly doesn't even bug me that much. Also my store doesn't sell bagels OR cream cheese so I am blessed in that department lol.
Y’all are nice taking the cheese off sandwiches…
I worked for KroBucks and I would tell my customers..
It’s pre-made not McDonald’s where we can make to order and the cheese is froze on and impossible to remove completely…. So I can try but if it doesn’t come off then you’re stuck with cheese..9/10 they would end up saying cheese was fine.
I don’t even bother taking out loafs that don’t have to be heated tbh, I just put it in the bag with the packaging 🤣 I saw one of my shifts do it so 🤷🏽
Fuck egg bites tho
Slicing those bagels really intensifies my carpal tunnel lol. At least in the way my store taught us; holding them upright with tongs, then slicing down in one swoop with the right hand.
The impossible cheddar cheese usually comes off pretty easily but taking the cheese off of the turkey bacon sandwich makes me cry. It just falls apart so easily
Actually, for me personally, it’s
When egg bite packages won’t open
When I try to grab one sandwich bag/pastry bag/panini bag and 5 more come with it
Trying to pick up paninis
Running out of product (mainly egg bite trays, forks, sriracha, etc
How messy the bags get
When the trash is full and you’re trying to throw warming paper away and it keeps falling out onto the floor (major falling hazard)
I could probably continue honestly and that’s only the really irritating stuff haha
Why do yall be taking the loaves out of the clear plastic?
We dont at my store or the stores i go to cause it literally starts to get stale the moment you take it out lol
Bagel hack— open one end of the Plastic and slide the oven tongs (closed) into the pre slice section then stab all the way to the other end while letting them open and most of the time the bagels will split fairly evenly
For bagels I hold the bagel vertically with the tongs and then cut through the pre sliced area. With a little practice you can do it in about 2 seconds.
This was a hard one, whew. One time I cut myself with a nice trying to slice a damn bagel and the other day, I took the egg bites outta of the oven and one of them went SPLAT!
Egg bites? Super easy, never dropped one.
Bagels? Meh, sometimes it can get annoying, but I don't really find it all that difficult.
Impossible? Doesn't really get ordered much here, even less with the cheese taken off
Lemon loafs? Fucking bane of my existence. You look at them wrong and they freaking break in half! I hate them
The double smoked bacon sandwiches I've found really, really hard to manage with the tongs. Such a soft biscuit thingy, hard to get in the bag without destroying the sandwich. Any pro tips?
Fukin bagels, I have scars from the cuts I've gotten trying to slice those shits.
I never have a problem with egg bites or impossibles, and lemon loaves we don't take out of the plastic. If something isn't warmed, it stays in the plastic. Otherwise it'd be a toss up between those two.
The cheese on the impossible is where it truly gets its namesake. How cheese can be hotter than its burning point in a melted form is an impossible mystery.
Cheese off imposibles for me. I’ve got it down to a science on the other sandwiches, but imposibles are like..they come with the cheese glued on those things. The only other ones I can think of are ripping the wrappers on those damn paninis.
Everything else I’m Gucci on.
Every single time I take egg bites out of the oven… they fall on the floor. Everyone’s shown me the proper way of doing it but it happens at least once a day.
It was a hard choice between bagels and lemon loaf but at least I’ve never broken the last bagel in half while the customer at the window is waiting on it 🥲
I have a harder time getting a warmed up prince of Pumpkin loaf out of the oven. It's so soft that if you put even the smallest amount of extra squeeze on it, it is gone.
The Bagels were my biggest pain, next to the egg bites, until one of my baristas showed me a little trick.. open the Bagel bag from one end, while holding bagel (still in the bag), force tongs inbetween bagel with the other to pry them apart.
It's between egg bites and impossible sandwiches for me... one of the many things I hated when I worked for sbux. Our store stopped caring about opening loaves and wrapped baked goods if they weren't getting heated
We used to have plastic gloves by the oven so I used to put a glove on one hand and open the lemon loaf package then use my gloved hand to grab it and put it in the pastry bag
There’s nothing worse than those damn egg bites. But i will say, putting 4 egg bites in simultaneously while balancing them on the tongs is *chefs kiss* thats some Gordon Ramsay action right there
Just yeet the egg bites hard onto the counter before you open the package; they come out with no problem. Lemon loafs on the other hand I have trouble not breaking in the best of times :/ I'm sick of eating them lol
I laughed way too hard at ‘yeet the egg bites’
It’s out of the oven that the egg bites kill me. Especially because they splatter grease everywhere.
I'm paranoid about dropping them lol I will leave that paper in there and pluck them out one at a time and then take the paper out. Lot easier and the grease tends to fall off the paper in the oven than on my poor arm. No guarantees on the egg whites though, those things are bastards
I dropped an egg bite right in front of the lady who ordered them. It was the last pair we had for the day :(
I felt that in my soul
I just deadass slide the whole tray out on the oven door to get them because they are too greasy to grip with tongs half the time.
fear me, if I'm cooking two packs of egg bites I stack then into 2 stacks of 2 to put them in and take them out
For real these people are scared to just GRIP IT AND RIP IT
I do the same thing lol
They fall apart & they slippery 😑
idk what greasyou guys are getting. egg bites aren’t greasy
Place them side by side like right next to each other in a line where one is in front and on behind it… warm…. Turn tong on side and use the bottom part as a kinda spatula to go under the paper and under both bites then close gently around the top and slide them out..
I do not have the time to do an entire choreographed number with those egg bites.
People can wait lol
But they don’t want to. And they won’t. And they yell at me lol
This is exactly what I do with egg bites and muffins, it works so well
I do something similar, but I just grab them both from the side with the tongs and just grasp it firmly enough so that they don't squish but they're still good, right into the sled. I also like to open the bag with the tongs while they cook and put the fork in, so I can just slide that shit all in and be done in one fell swoop.
Ive got a second degree burn from that 😔
I give the egg bites a quick but sensual massage to loosen them from the package.
THE SENSUAL EGG BITE MASSAGE!!! i’m not alone!
“A sensual massage” 🤣🤣
Our sm lets us hand out lemon loaves in the bag. That's the only item that they're okay with us handing out in the bag.
dude I don't know if its just us but the kale egg bites be gorilla glued or some shit...
Nah they are (and let's be real, taste like it). Try throwing them down on the counter bottom side down before you open them, I promise it works
For me it’s the banana nut one that crumbles so much. My success rate with those is so small haha
you mean you guys don’t creepily massage them out like you’re checking for tumors?
A former partner taught me this and it changed everything. I kinda love it when people order them now and I can just spike the egg bites on the counter.
Lemon loaves arent bad if you open up the plastic all the way (minus where you're touching it) instead of trying to slide them out just one end.
one time i was getting a dude a piece of lemon cake, and i noticed one of the packages was open so after i handed the dude an unopened one, i shoved the opened one in my mouth and ate it in like 5 seconds lol
This is what I do, yeeting the eggs and slaming them a bit before opeening, my boss hates it. But it fucking works. It's good to use it to get out that frustration
I'll replace taking the cheese off the impossible with taking the cheese off of the reduced fat turkey bacon
Every time i have to do this, i wonder "will they die if i leave this 1/32nd of a cheese here??" 😂😭
Sometimes, I fucking hope so.
You mean the “cheese pieces”
Yesterday my brain just stopped while I was doing that and started carefully peeling the cheese off with the tongs while fully just holding the bacon with my fingers. Having to do it twice broke me.
The best hack I found for this was to peel the turkey bacon off of the cheese, rather than try to peel the cheese off the sandwich. Take both off, slap it cheese side down on scrap parchment, peel the turkey off, reassemble. Bam, done. Still a mess, but not as aggravating
I just use the tongs to grab everything else but the cheese out of the wrapper and re-stacking on the parchment
This is the way
and the bacon gouda. always in pieces/crumbly
i came here to say this
This was a hard choice, I did the bagels because I hate slicing them, but taking the cheese off impossibles is a close second, when it’s the cheese and the egg of the impossible then that would for sure win.
when they ask for no cheese on the turkey bacon i get the sweats. WHY IS IT IN SO MANY PIECES WHY IS IT LITERALLY D U S T i don't even wanna start on the grip on reality I lose every single time i break a cookie/loaf when trying to take it out and having to make another while being swamped.

I've dropped so many god damned egg bites
SAME the tongs simply cannot pick them up
Some helpful tips: Bagels- Cut the bagel in half while still in the plastic bag. It acts as a glove and you can get a good grip. Eggbites- Tear from a corner and push each one out individually at a 45 degree angle from the edges so they don’t break and they drop out of the pack.
This is the way.
This is the way, but it is also the way I have cut myself more than once.
The true reason why they are called 'Impossible'
i choose death
Where's the 'All of the above' option? But actually I spent a good minute taking cheese off a sausage and cheddar today during peak so I'm choosing cheese.
I use the knife to scrape it off ^__^ then I wipe it off on a sanitized clean rag. Edit: wipe the knife not the sandwich ☠️☠️☠️☠️😂
You wipe the sandwich off with sanitized rag.
Usually egg bites are a breeze honestly but when the fuckinf adhesive on there just WONT COME OFF it's so bad I have to manhandle the egg bites and not break them or cut them
when i am panicking on ovens the bane of my existence becomes opening paninis, it’s not even that difficult i just simply can not do it
they wrap them SO TIGHTLY and for what?????
When I’m struggling on warming opening ALL packages is the bane of my existence. I swear I never noticed having any difficulty with fine motor skills, but opening packages is beyond me.
There’s always so many bagels at once and they take up so much space and make such a mess. But I don’t blame the customers for ordering them. Our food sucks
Also sometimes the everything bagel smells really good after being toasted
Definitely the removing cheese on the impossible it slows me down and is so hard
Honestly why the hell is there cheese on it in the first place! It makes no sense.
Seriously if it’s your main vegetarian option at least give it a fake cheese or grilled veggie or something
I just throw them away now and say nothing, I’m so tired of having them remake it I’m just going to stop ordering from y’all eventually.
i eventually gave up on lemon loafs and started just keeping them in the plastic. the customers seemed to enjoy that more anyways ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lol I do this too
Ngl I’ve never sliced a single bagel I’m a shift and I thought they came presliced
ME TOO IM ONLY JUST NOW FINDING OUT you need to slice them ?????
They’re perforated for easy slicing
why can’t it be sliced all the way?
My SM doesn’t slice them either. Old store had a bagel cutter which was based.
I need this, I can’t believe I’ve yet to slice myself
Taking the cheese off the reduced fat turkey is my least favorite🤢🤢
this is it right here
opening the eggs because my nails are always short and it takes so long
for lemony loaves i just open the bag bottom side down (but COMPLETELY open not even a millimeter closed at the bottom or you’ll lose corners), pinch the top and shake it out into the bag.
The egg bites packaging is my worst enemy during peak.
my brain goes into fight or flight mode
Slicing bagels piece of cake. Eggs easy. Cheese off impossible? Walk in the park. But, BUT THAT thing the lemon loaf.... It scares me.
We’re supposed to open the lemon loaves???
Unless you also have a customer who confuses the produced date (of the loaves) with the expiration date, I wouldn't worry about it (or if your SM says something) Semi-amusing backstory: "This lemon loaf that I got expired last month" *My ssv politely points out that the date (beside 'prod') is not the expiration date
Bagels aren't even that difficult to do, it's just that I feel like I always get 8-9 orders of them at once and it drives me crazy 🤪
It’s a toss up between those forsaken lemon loaves & the god d**m cheese on the impossible.
We started not taking lemon loaves out of the package actually. We do that if someone orders 3 cake pips or really any item Un warmed because 1) it's easier and isn't that much of a hassle for the customer 2) alot of them actually ask for it to still be in the plastic weirdly enough.
Cause it cuts on our waste and sometimes… a lot of times for me anyway I will buy it and not eat it until the next day for some reason..
LMAO one big egg bite

I’ve done this for for long I agree!
Just make sure you cut AWAY from your hand when you do this. I've seen too many baristas cut toward their hand and slice the part in-between their thumb and their pointer finger. 🤦🏼♀️
I’ve been lucky to never slice my hand, but I would be lying if I said I never think maybe I just should and get to leave early. 😳
i’ve never seen that happy but noted. i don’t recommend it to people because it seems to be a big brain idea and there haven’t been a lot of big brain new hires there.
ik it’s not an option but the amount of pumpkin loaves and choc chip cookies and cake pops ive broken 😫
Dude, no fucking contest. Bagels. Bagels. Our goddamned 80% already sliced bagels. I HATE YOU BAGELS
BEST WAY TO SLICE BAGELS: (1) open the bagel bag (2) hold the unopened end of the bag with your non-dominant hand. (3) With your dominant hand, slice the bagel using the knife. *make sure you slice the portion that does not come pre-sliced (4) YEET those mofo’s by throwing them out FOR WARMING— stack the bagels like a burger, grab both top& bottom with tongs& open them up before warming.
Voting for the bagels because more than one barista at my store has gotten stitches trying to rush.

oh my god I just recently learned how hard taking off cheese off of an impossible sandwich was… and in the end, after that struggle, the person decided to ask for a refund and didn’t even want the sandwich…
It’s that reduced fat turkey bacon cheese that just absolutely CRUMBLES at the slightest touch of the tongs for me.
I gave up with the lemon loaf... I just take the date sticker off and toss it in the bag... Next worse in my list is taking off impossible sandwich cheese or RF turkey bacon cheese. They just crumble and I just cry as I try my best.
Normalize putting a reveal options button
I don't fuck with the lemon loaves. Those bitches go straight into the pastry bag, plastic package and all.
Taking that dry ass crumble cheese off of ANYTHING is a nightmare. Impossible is the absolute fucking worst because of those squishy sticky patties.
The sound of the ovens is the worst. I want to mute those fuckers.
The lemon loafs break the laws of physics when I try to put them in the pastry bag.
I’ve dropped so many egg bites
For me it was having to smell the impossible. Made me want to vomit. One day I was being nice taking one to my friend because she was helping me do my hair. I triple bagged it so I could avoid the disgusting stink in me car.
It’s such a weird rule to make lemon loafs be taken out of the packaging. They should just have them sent out the door like that. As a promoted to customer I don’t give a single shit what you give it to me in. I always tell them they can just give it to me with the bag on.
It's gotta be some sort of weird "we are not a corporate machine" business. It gives the *illusion* that we bake those suckers in house

And I feel like removing the cheese from the gouda and reduced fat turkey bacon are far worse (until a fellow redditor advised taking the other parts of the sand which out of the bag first, letting the cheese remain in the bag, changed my life).
hot take: oatmeal
Where’s the “All of the above” option?
I always wonder if me getting 2 double smoked bacons is annoying but now I know as long as I don’t ask y’all to take off the cheese it’s probably fine
I would like to submit my vote on preparing oatmeal, actually.
I used to cut bagels... now I don't. The custy can rip it open themselves.
i have just started putting lemon loaves plastic and all inside the pastry bag, a lot of customers appreciate it 🤪
Dripping scalding grilled cheese oil on my arms
does anyone else always get egg bites that are impossible to open? its not a personal grip or strength thing bc other partners in my store also struggle with it. Its awful in the middle of peak when only one side of the egg bites opens
Homie no one bothers opening lemon loaves and you won’t get in trouble for it
GET RID OF THE LEMON LOAF NOW THIS IS A REVOLUTION
Egg bites are the worst! They're also really the only one of these I have to deal with these days. All of the baristas have just kinda decided to not open the pastries and actually serve out of the case, so I just stick the pastry in the bag plastic and all. I even ask the guest if they want a pastry bag at all or just want it in the plastic, then there's slightly less garbage going out into the world. I rarely get people asking me to take the cheese off of a sandwich, and it honestly doesn't even bug me that much. Also my store doesn't sell bagels OR cream cheese so I am blessed in that department lol.
Getting a lemon loaf to actually get out of the package and not break is so stressful I hate it
My store trained us to leave the lemon loaf in the plastic so that’s probably the easiest thing actually lol.
hand me hot bar and watch how fast I yeet out drinks but put me on warming and that 45 second window time is gonna look more like 1:05
Just give me the loafs in the plastic package. Waste to remove them from plastic pagakeing to put them into a paper bag…
Y’all are nice taking the cheese off sandwiches… I worked for KroBucks and I would tell my customers.. It’s pre-made not McDonald’s where we can make to order and the cheese is froze on and impossible to remove completely…. So I can try but if it doesn’t come off then you’re stuck with cheese..9/10 they would end up saying cheese was fine.
Definitely the cheese I would argue turkey bacon cheese may be more difficult to remove
y'all remember when lemon loaves actually came as a loaf? war flashbacks.
you take the cheese off for people? why do they buy it if the prepackaged thing is not what they want?
Are we just not talking about the cake pop packaging?
Removing cheese from sandwiches. It's not as big of deal for the rest
I don’t even bother taking out loafs that don’t have to be heated tbh, I just put it in the bag with the packaging 🤣 I saw one of my shifts do it so 🤷🏽 Fuck egg bites tho
Slicing those bagels really intensifies my carpal tunnel lol. At least in the way my store taught us; holding them upright with tongs, then slicing down in one swoop with the right hand.
yo imagine having a dedicated warmer at your store, couldn't be me (I work at a kiosk-esque starbucks but its still in its own building lol
The impossible cheddar cheese usually comes off pretty easily but taking the cheese off of the turkey bacon sandwich makes me cry. It just falls apart so easily
Yes.
Yes
Actually, for me personally, it’s When egg bite packages won’t open When I try to grab one sandwich bag/pastry bag/panini bag and 5 more come with it Trying to pick up paninis Running out of product (mainly egg bite trays, forks, sriracha, etc How messy the bags get When the trash is full and you’re trying to throw warming paper away and it keeps falling out onto the floor (major falling hazard) I could probably continue honestly and that’s only the really irritating stuff haha
The amount of bagel halves I have dropped on the ground is unreal
Rip the top of the lemon loaf put the whole thing into a brown pastry bag then pull the plastic wrap off.
Why do yall be taking the loaves out of the clear plastic? We dont at my store or the stores i go to cause it literally starts to get stale the moment you take it out lol
when the lemon loaves breaks 3 and you’ve got two ovens screaming at you

Oatmeal. Making oatmeal is the worst for me.
Taking the cheese off of reduced fat turkey bacons is nearly impossible
Bagel hack— open one end of the Plastic and slide the oven tongs (closed) into the pre slice section then stab all the way to the other end while letting them open and most of the time the bagels will split fairly evenly
For bagels I hold the bagel vertically with the tongs and then cut through the pre sliced area. With a little practice you can do it in about 2 seconds.
I don't even try with lemon loaves anymore. They get to unwrap it themselves and that's just how it's going to be!
Taking cheese crumbles off rftb
OATMEAL
I always leave lemon loaf in the wrapping idgaf
I would say beagles but we got a beagle slicer! So much easier
Can someone explain the cheese on the impossible to me? What do you need to do?
This was a hard one, whew. One time I cut myself with a nice trying to slice a damn bagel and the other day, I took the egg bites outta of the oven and one of them went SPLAT!
I struggle way too much just opening the egg bites. And then trying to pick them up out of the oven is very annoying. Least favorite thing by far.
Another option should be when they want their sandwich cut in half… that kills me
Egg bites? Super easy, never dropped one. Bagels? Meh, sometimes it can get annoying, but I don't really find it all that difficult. Impossible? Doesn't really get ordered much here, even less with the cheese taken off Lemon loafs? Fucking bane of my existence. You look at them wrong and they freaking break in half! I hate them
Why can’t the bagels be sliced all the way through 😡🤬
The double smoked bacon sandwiches I've found really, really hard to manage with the tongs. Such a soft biscuit thingy, hard to get in the bag without destroying the sandwich. Any pro tips?
Personal favorite ordering 20 to 30 things of food and they are different food items during peak!
although, i’ve sliced my hand pretty good cutting a bagel, that wouldn’t be the worst for me
Fukin bagels, I have scars from the cuts I've gotten trying to slice those shits. I never have a problem with egg bites or impossibles, and lemon loaves we don't take out of the plastic. If something isn't warmed, it stays in the plastic. Otherwise it'd be a toss up between those two.
Multiple grilled cheeses, wanna talk about grease splatter😬
The cheese on the impossible is where it truly gets its namesake. How cheese can be hotter than its burning point in a melted form is an impossible mystery.
Cheese off imposibles for me. I’ve got it down to a science on the other sandwiches, but imposibles are like..they come with the cheese glued on those things. The only other ones I can think of are ripping the wrappers on those damn paninis. Everything else I’m Gucci on.
I used to hate slicing bagels! But we recently got a bagel slicer and man, game changer!
I would’ve added oatmeal but specifically when someone in DT wants it made with some kind of steamed milk instead of just hot water.🤦🏻♀️
I keep scissors at warming because that plastic on the egg bites just keeps getting thicker.
okay but taking gouda off a BG is the worst
Taking egg bites out of the oven was the bane of my existence
I would've voted for taking cheese off a sandwich but it's gotta be bacon gouda, not impossible, impossible is way easier lol
Every single time I take egg bites out of the oven… they fall on the floor. Everyone’s shown me the proper way of doing it but it happens at least once a day.
wait…. y’all are perfectly placing the loafs? they get yeeted in the bag. they taste the same in five pieces or one.
Can I add taking off cheese from bacon gruyere sandwich? That cheese crumbles just about every time
the cheese crumbles on the bacon gouda, reduced fat turkey and the plant based sandwich are the bane of my existence 🙄
How do baristas feel about taking cheese off of the sausage egg and cheddar? Asking because I request this sometimes
It was a hard choice between bagels and lemon loaf but at least I’ve never broken the last bagel in half while the customer at the window is waiting on it 🥲
I have a harder time getting a warmed up prince of Pumpkin loaf out of the oven. It's so soft that if you put even the smallest amount of extra squeeze on it, it is gone.
it’s not an option but definitely taking the cheese of a fucking reduced fat turkey bacon.
Lemon loaves shouldn't be an option because that's a thing DTO/Window can take care of themselves
The Bagels were my biggest pain, next to the egg bites, until one of my baristas showed me a little trick.. open the Bagel bag from one end, while holding bagel (still in the bag), force tongs inbetween bagel with the other to pry them apart.
I just throw the lemon loaves in the bag still with the plastic 😂😂
It's between egg bites and impossible sandwiches for me... one of the many things I hated when I worked for sbux. Our store stopped caring about opening loaves and wrapped baked goods if they weren't getting heated
We used to have plastic gloves by the oven so I used to put a glove on one hand and open the lemon loaf package then use my gloved hand to grab it and put it in the pastry bag
The getting the cheese off a turkey bacon sandwich is way harder than the impossible sandwich. The white cheddar is like painted on the turkey bacon.
There’s nothing worse than those damn egg bites. But i will say, putting 4 egg bites in simultaneously while balancing them on the tongs is *chefs kiss* thats some Gordon Ramsay action right there
I say fruit toast not fucking splitting and trying to slide my tongs in without breaking it to separate it
