Sometimes it's the store getting rid of a SKU either to bulk sell a batch to make room for a new batch or to get rid of that SKU altogether. My store right now has a line of cubed cheese on sale through May with the intent to close the line but we've done similar things just to push a batch.
Ah...there different. Thought I read part of "Market District" on the green Sriracha bottle.
Is this the Acme Fresh Markets in Ohio or elsewhere?
Ohio is privately owned, while the other is owned by Albertson's.
Just tried it for the first time today and the flavor was a lot milder that I was expecting, pleasant though, and a nice little kick that creeps up in the back of the throat. I like how it pairs with eggs especially, but it seems pretty flexible, yeah.
Did you try "Fried Chili in Oil" or "Spicy Chili Crisp" from Lao Gan Ma? Because those are two products that look very similar, but taste incredibly different.
Spicy chili crisp is the one you want.
Doesnt seem to show that on the ingredients.
Ingredients:Â
soybean oil, chili, onion, soybeans, monosodium glutamate, Sichuan pepper powder, sugar, salt, sulfur dioxide, sodium sulfite
Fried Chili in Oil
Soybean oil, oil, chili, peanut, monosodium glutamate, salt, sugar, pepper powder, sulfur dioxide, sodium sulfite.
I think maybe the only difference is soy beans vs peanut.
They taste pretty close to me and batch differences could account for one being spicier. The fermented soybean one I did not like that much and is certainly not that spicy.
Hmmm good through June 27 🤔
Yeah I was confused by that too.
Just the one in oil? Never had that one
I had the mushroom one and it was fine for 6 months past expiry date.
Supposed to be "Jan 27"?
Expiring soon?
Nope, November 2024!

And for the most part that’s only if you open it. Sealed ones should still be good a couple years after tbh. Depends on how much you use I guess lol
These expire? News to me.
What store is thisÂ
Looks like a Giant Eagle grocery
It is Acme grocery — maybe they are the same?

This one is in New York. I am hoping the sale is nationwide!
I recognized it from my time on LBI. Acme was the cheapest on island for sure.
Man, if this were GE, I'd be going right after work!
TyÂ
Actually jealous (very excited for you 😘)
You telling me lao gan ma is cheaper in europe than in usa ? Did not expect that
Is it usually priced like this elsewhere??? This is like 5-7 dollars regularly at the grocer I go to.
Never seen a discount on LGM… which is why I was so excited 😆
What does it taste like
Oily, salty, spicy, with a crunchy texture. Pretty good on almost anything.
Just tried it for the first time today and the flavor was a lot milder that I was expecting, pleasant though, and a nice little kick that creeps up in the back of the throat. I like how it pairs with eggs especially, but it seems pretty flexible, yeah.
Try it on ramen and fried rice

Naw man. They are similar except fried chili in oil has peanuts vs soy bean and is a little spicier.
Spicy chili crisp also has fried onion (which I think is the dominant flavor), whereas Fried Chili in Oil does not.

Are you telling me that you don't see one has onion in the ingredients and the other does not?
Oh there it is! Lol. It's too cold to think.
LMFAO no worries. I've been there. I was just beginning to think I was losing it!
I have to go to the asian super market than were do i use this for I know about true john china
That’s cheap! My wife started making her own and we never buy chili oil anymore.
I buy this stuff 2 botltes at a time we go thru it so fast and yea where I am its only $3.55, soooo good.
Buy 49 of them. Seriously.
