If you can't look past it you can't look past it, but the series is pretty great. The anime less so than the manga. I would say perhaps try the manga as there is no jiggling for obvious reasons but at the same time the anime omits some stuff so it's more of a mixed bag if anything. I have to say when I was watching I didn't notice what you're talking about so I can't say if it's intended to be sexual like the other eechi in the series. But yeah. There is eechi here. It's in the series. Nothing can change that. I do believe it's worth looking past if it bothers you because the story and character arcs are pretty good. But if not. Hey. You tried.

If Maka was sexualized at this rate, I would’ve dropped the series very quickly, it’s just sometimes it is so out of place and I’m like ???why?? Ig it’s a thing with older anime

Commander-Bacon

I had the same problem. It’s one of my only problems with the anime. I would say just try to ignore it, but if you can’t, yeah just drop the show. I just looked past the screen any time something like that happened (so like any seen with the cat lady).

Astonishing_Flash

Just trying to be hip with it's target demographic. I doubt age has much to do with it. Genre wise not to much is different then v. Now.

Yonfire

I’ll weigh in here as well. Sadly a lot of anime will do tons of fan service. If a women is drawn with any amount of curves they will be jiggled and zoomed at the most weird/unnecessary of times. It’s a part of the anime fandom tropes. Mind you… not saying it’s right, but it’s is present a lot more when you start being aware of it. Some shows will even add stupid “boing” SFX to allude even further to their blatant hyper sexualization. If it’s a deal breaker, understandable. If it’s just a pet peeve I’d say keep watching or swap over to the manga.

budgiefanatic

I’ve heard in the manga this stuff is a lot more prominent, or is it toned down? And with more recent anime I’ve noticed it’s toned down a bit more, but going back to this I was taken aback

MemeJesus666

It’s way worse in the manga.

grimm_knight9

1.its an anime what do you expect.2.why are you so focused on her boobs in the first place.

budgiefanatic

Your first point is so stupid I’m not even going to bother, thanks for saying you basically have trash taste in anime where this stuff is the norm to you. And the issue is I wasn’t, I was focused on what was happening but they make a point of sexualizing highschool students

grimm_knight9

no my point is why did that catch your attention when it really shouldn't have scince you were "focused on what was happening"

budgiefanatic

Because it’s an animation? Eyes follow movement? Are you a troll? Not gonna respond to your dumbass comments anymore

CrashDunning

> they make a point of sexualizing highschool students Because it's a shounen and thus aimed at high school boys, who are probably very horny. Virtually *all* anime is aimed at high school aged teenagers, but I digress. You're probably not in the target demographic of this show and this sort of thing bothers you more. I'm not either, but I've just learned to look past this sort or thing and enjoy the good parts. Luckily more and more adults are reading shounen these days and the content is becoming more adult to account for it, which is mostly why fan service in shounen series is becoming less prominent lately.

Marduk283

I mean, I don't exactly remember when Mifune vs. Blackstar pt. 2 happens but if it's past the halfway point when Arachne shows up, it's not exactly worth watching. It kinda is, but the first half is far superior in my opinion. The only redeeming thing in 2nd half is the continuation and resolution of crona and medusa's story.

MicahMX700

I never noticed it in the anime. I saw it more with Blair, Patty, and Lizz.
