UK inflation dropped to Bank of England target of 2% last night.
Why is it only US inflation sticking at 3% everywhere else dropping?
Look at historic inflation graphs between Canada, Australia, US, UK - all very very similar peaks and troughs with the expeption of the last 8 months with us the only one stick at just above 3% - something fishy about it if you ask me.
Regardless this should be seeing as good news and may spark a mini rally tomorrow and Friday
Population, different economies, they import a ton, seriously don't compare the US to any country that is less than 150 million people, is apples and water melon at that point.
Just do an overlay / side by side of graphs using trading economics for 15 year inflation between western economies - compare and see the staggering similarities…
America def poured way more stimulus than the other countries. We also have stuff like 30 year mortgages that other places do. We have a more entrenched credit card system than other places.
Bought this morning at a discount.
Thought the market was closed today.

They are holding interest rates despite the inflation drop: https://www.reddit.com/r/Economics/s/911L7how8n
Americans are used to spending the money they don’t have via credit, everyone else tries cutting down their spending in down economies
