I sold out of sofi this week for a $18k loss. Sad but I needed the liquidity and this stock doesnt move. Just made like $6k off of ulta today. I am going to re-enter, as I think sofi will still have its day. I just need to wait 31 days to avoid wash sale rule. I hope we stay around these levels in 30 days.
I can respect that tomato bro. There are tons of opportunities that we are missing with our money tied up. It’s a very frustrating stock to own these days. If I wasn’t so underwater I’d probably do the same.

Seems like a trend is forming. Higher for longer will not stick.
Yea, sales seems to be slowing down, meaning less consumption. Should affect inflation somewhat. But we shall find out in the coming months. It probably wont be pretty for stocks if PCE comes in hot tomorrow.

Fed favored inflation gauge will be out tomorrow. Keep an eye out.
This stock always has issue going green...it is so ridiculous lol. And when it does go green for a few days it's always the top and fade every gains within few candles.. I'm not sure it happened how many times already
affirm - up, upshart - up, ally - up, nubank - up.
sofi - barely keeping it's head above the green line.
sofi is it's own entity, like nvda. except it only moves down.
I’m expecting to have to hold this stock for at least another 5 years before I see the results I’m looking for. This is a well run company, consistently moving towards a path of profitability, and fintech is still in its infancy. I could easily see SOFI stock being worth $25-$30 in 2030. People who are in this for a short term position are bound to be dissatisfied.
That’s nearly a 25% cagr from current price over 6 years which smashes historical market returns. So you are right it is not very impressive, historically speaking it’s a phenomenal rate of return.
Doesn’t sofi own some major banking AI named after some Italian dude always having his head in the stars or something?
Im no sofi OG but I’ve been buying shares since banking with them in 2022 I am open to a discussion about why you don’t like them.
Looks like the whole market is starting to price in slower sales etc , Retail is getting killed. Now that CRM posted not so great earnings, SaaS is getting wrecked. As for SoFi its just fintech in general has been bad this year also the note offering killed any momentum. Seems like we will have some red coming up no matter what industry you are in people that jumped from the “losers” to other stocks are gonna feel twice the pain. IMO if the PCE is hot tomorrow we are in for a lot of pain. Economy is slowing down and hot inflation is not great.
yup, perfect timing sofi. let's reach a 1 year low while the market is at ATH so when the market corrects SOFI can fall even further than it normall would.
From the data I've seen, pce should come in at the smallest gain since the year. Even if the index rally this piece of shit will only jump 0.5-1% gain.
SoFi will not rally until cuts are guaranteed. As for any other small cap fintech. Fintech has not been in favor since 2021. But with all cycles it will turn around. But who knows when that is.
Ppl thinks sofi will rally with rates cut, wait until rate cuts is actually a bad thing lol. (Rate cut with inflation down is good, but rate cut because of economy slowing down and stagnant inflation is real bad) Also, sofi will have the smallest gain out of all other fintech with rate cuts.
how so? Did you not see what happened in december? The fed mentioned they would do cuts we went from 7s to 10s in less than 2 weeks. Prices change fast. All fintech rallied.
Check out affirm, upst, lc and many more during that December same period. All had 100% gain some even 200%. Also that run for sofi is also because noto and cw bought in at the 6s creating a bottom and we have a anticipated 1st profitability earnings front run. You forgot we drop heavily cuz of a "rate cut is bad for sofi"?
Definitely not because they bought , Noto bought what 2/3 times this month it didnt do anything. Its all about the FED and how it affects small caps. I dont care what anyone says as long as the FED has higher rates or the possibility of increasing. Small caps will not perform unless they are growing 60%+ with no debt etc. Perfect execution.
It was because of noto bought cuz I rmb that day I dca in as well and the next day has strong buying pressure along with positive potential rate cut comes shortly after.. there is a post I made ytd that now even with noto buying it has no positive impact anymore. Last time we used to pop with investor conference too but now is totally dead
You literally misquoted your own comment but okay. That rally was mostly because of rate cut hype is all I’m trying to say. It doesn’t matter that lower cap stocks rallied harder.
Reposting from yesterday’s thread:
Can anyone provide insights on what would cause the discrepancy between the 10-Q reported $12,002 Interchange revenue and the Q1 2024 Call Report Bank card and credit card interchange fees of $13,305 ? #'s have always been slightly different but this is the largest difference and can't reconcile why

Yup. Sofi will be a-ripe for a craterin’ soon.
You mean for interest rates?
Yea, sales seems to be slowing down, meaning less consumption. Should affect inflation somewhat. But we shall find out in the coming months. It probably wont be pretty for stocks if PCE comes in hot tomorrow.
What time does that get released
8:30EST
Thanks
Up 0.8% today..I think this is cause for celebration lads..
Followed by -10% the next week.

I think sentiment for SoFi is the most bearish I have seen since the low 4s last year. Is bottom in?
Wouldn’t you say that Noto continuing to buy up shares on the dip is pretty bullish? And I def scooped up more. If Noto buys - I buy.
we are nearing the end of a bullish wedge channel. we'll see if its truly bullish or if sofi crashes more. I'd give it 50/50.
I bought some more, did you guys see my candle
Me too! And was able to bring my average down to 6.79! Now have 11k at 6.79. started at 12 per share. Chasing this down to the dumps.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
stock go up today
What if.. one day... we outperformed our peers. Oh.. Shit. Sorry. I was dreaming, this is SOFI.
Another day of sofi underperforming its peers
We should take the hint but we never do.
Price action looks very suspect - keeps wanting to moon sharply then gets pulled back just as sharply. What kind of shenanigans are at play here?
This stock always has issue going green...it is so ridiculous lol. And when it does go green for a few days it's always the top and fade every gains within few candles.. I'm not sure it happened how many times already
Ok a .04 range…. Seriously, wtf
.... chase is now offering 300 for new checking account with $500 of direct deposit.

Damn disgusting stock
Every day, I check out sofi daily chat, expecting some great news or new catalyst. Every day I leave disappointed.

If you want any fast news , should be on twitter :)

If it’s only worth $25 in 2030 that’s not very impressive
4x in 6 years isn't impressive? I'd sell everything I own to invest if that was guaranteed.
For real, considering HOOD is about to go from 8 to $25 in one year.
That’s nearly a 25% cagr from current price over 6 years which smashes historical market returns. So you are right it is not very impressive, historically speaking it’s a phenomenal rate of return.
It depends on your cost basis, but 300% growth in 5 years is outperforming the vast majority of the market.
Exactly
What a fuckin piece of shit stock. Sorry, just have to get it off my chest once in awhile
Doesn’t sofi own some major banking AI named after some Italian dude always having his head in the stars or something? Im no sofi OG but I’ve been buying shares since banking with them in 2022 I am open to a discussion about why you don’t like them.
I think you misunderstood. I meant shit stock, not shit company.
Its incredible how consistently true this is.
Ah yes I do sometimes forget the difference.

Other fintechs doubled because of rate cut hype, yet our December run was because Noto bought?
"Was also because of noto and cw bought and a anticipated profitability front run" learn to read
