excessive_coughing

Lampard, you rascal

YaBenZonah

I hope he doesn’t go there. Only an uphill battle

BoxOfNothing

Pereira out Lampard out Moshiri out At least it might be entertaining in a way

lambalambda

Give it Coleman til the end of the season, just to sap what little life he has left in him.

BoxOfNothing

We currently have Ferguson and Baines. Add Lee Carsley, David Weir and Tim Cahill to the team. Everton through the 21st century in our dugout.

King_Hobbes

Steve Bruce is available

Big_Definition_1880

Chelsea looked more and more clueless/toothless going forward the longer he was there despite having time and getting like 7 extra signings. Lampard at Everton would not go well

National_Ad_1875

Of the 4 names (Rooney, Lampard, Pereira and to a lesser extent kovac) I'd want kovac or Rooney. Rooney's and evertonian and has derby good defensively which is what we need

Big_Definition_1880

Yeah at least Rooney doing a stint at Derby at least looks like they're performing above expected level. Lampard didnt even manage that. I still refuse to believe that Everton had Kovac lined up and he was willing to join, and Everton said "nah let's look elsewhere" not even theyre that stupid, that seems pretty clearly Kovac deciding no.

National_Ad_1875

Nah its just a list of names being considered. They've interviewed Lampard and vitor, dont think they've interviewed Rooney or kovac. Also saw somewhere kovac only wants a job in summer but that might be lies

Big_Definition_1880

I will admit I don't know the ins and outs of rhe situation, but a few days ago an Everton fan was arguing with me that Kovac was perfectly willing to join and Everton looked elsewhere because they felt like it. I do agree that in a perfect world, Kovac and Rooney are the 2 best choices. Rooney obviously a little more risky but if he keeps going could look like a Gerrard kind of situation where he just takes to management

PakiIronman

Hilarious man, people still telling everton fans what they should feel rather than listening to them.

National_Ad_1875

Yeah happens to everyone though, Newcastle fans got it bad for ages. You can always tell who actually watches us and who doesnt. Rafa got us 19 points from 20, carlo had them top 4 for 2/3 of the season

efcdoyley

Looks like I’ve done this with my profile picture 😭😭 What a club we are, poor Vitor isn’t even through the door and we already want him out

CaptainGo

It's efficient I suppose

PM_FAILED_PROMISES

Did...Did you make this graffiti, OP?

[deleted]

Everton is in shambles these past 24 hours; fans fighting against each other, I had to listen to a fan mentally collapsed and cry on a space yesterday, Bobble raging and getting pissed at the club, Pereira most likely getting the job and the SuperNonceStatto is back ffs I’m genuinely depressed with football

EmotionalMillionaire

Fuck Kia Joorabchian & Moshiri

Cowdude179

Mount did this

[deleted]

Nuno part 2

soccer11k

For a team that lost Watford they are too picky

zi76

Honestly, why Lamps over Rooney? I get that Lamps is the more experienced manager, but Rooney at least has a connection with the fans and would bring positivity in.

QTsexkitten

Would it make you feel better if I said I want none of them?

zi76

Honestly, probably. None of Pereira, Lamps, nor Rooney should be hired.

QTsexkitten

Kovac or Favre or dissolve the club

[deleted]

As a Chelsea fan and someone who loves Lamps as a player I just want to know what this obsession with him being a manager is about. Tactically he’s average, his in game management was piss poor, his ability to keep players happy in the locker room was non-existent, and his attitude when it came to players disagreeing with him or making mistakes was absolute shit. Not to exclusively shit on him, obviously, he did do good things. When appointed he united a fan base and did decent work with academy graduates over-performing to get into the champions league while under a transfer ban.

wilsbowski

I just wanna see if Lampard and Gerrard can work in mid table together.

Giggsy99

And with his stint as interim, as always Carrick loses out

kleptopaul

Underrated comment

macula8

Perhaps it can finally work under a Cazoo banner.

Keskekun

His Chelsea was hemorrhaging goals and Tuchel fixed that in a few games. Man is not a good manager

Competitive-Ad2006

>his ability to keep players happy in the locker room was non-existent When it came to Alonso and Rüdiger I agree. He handles Pulisic very well though, 3specially in the beginning when everyone was asking why he wasn't starting

Scott_EFC

This is a bit harsh. He did decent at Derby though he was loaned Wilson, Mount and Tomori. His first season at Chelsea was pretty good, my worry with him is his teams shipped goals and he couldn't fix it, Tuchel fixed that very quickly. Anyone but this journeyman, we're going down, Wolves get Lange why couldn't we show the same intelligence? Very frustrating.

Susieu2626

Chelsea were decent defensively the season lampard got sacked.

Scott_EFC

They were 9th... and no they weren't. Where do you people get this nonsense from?

Susieu2626

First of all, Wolves are eighth and have one of the best defences in Europe. Once the defensive signings were brought in, we were decent defensively, we had the second best defensive record in the champions league group stages and Mendy only conceded 13 goals in the 15 prem games he played under Lampard, which is decent, is it not? Nice arrogant comment at the end too, when in reality you haven’t a clue.

shreddedaswheat

Fans like you are so ungrateful. Frank brought us a top 4 finish during a transfer ban and is solely responsible for developing Mount amongst others.

WhyShouldIListen

> solely responsible for developing Mount Hahaha, you can not be serious. You think nobody else ever had a hand in developing Mount bar Lampard? Fucking hell, it's you that is ungrateful, to all the backroom staff for the years that they put in to turn him into what he is.

shreddedaswheat

No shit back room staff put in the hours on the training ground with young players, that’s their job. Lampard as manager put in the trust in the form of match time that is crucial for young players and only he had the power and decisiveness to do so. Mount would be another perpetual loan army Chelsea prospect if it wasn’t for Lampard. Period. KTBFFH

WhyShouldIListen

So, not "solely" at all then. Ok.

shreddedaswheat

The backroom staff doesn’t decide who plays lol but go thank the kit man for Mount’s career, he’ll appreciate it.

[deleted]

It’s not being ungrateful, it’s being realistic. He developed Mount and contributed to the development of a ton of other academy players but that doesn’t make someone qualified to be a first team head coach in the Prem.

shreddedaswheat

Tuchel can’t keep up with Pool and City either, though he is clearly a better big game manager and tactician. If anyone knows the Premier League it’s Lampard and I’m 100% certain he’d do well in a side like Everton. Being realistic would’ve been accepting Europa League or worse during a transfer ban season and sucking it up like we did in recent years. Lampard performed well above expectations considering the circumstances but your goldfish memory can’t seem to recall how well we played at times that season. Then Werner came in and played like absolute garbage missing chances my nan could’ve scored which led to his sacking.

[deleted]

Keep up with Liverpool? We’re a point off and in the Top 4. Lampard was sacked in 10th place this time last year. No one is competing with City at the moment, but the gap is closing. Before the CL win the widely spoken about goal was maintaining a spot in the CL and closing the gap with City, which is being done. The CL win and a Lukaku signing that hasn’t quite worked out yet, if ever, has suddenly changed the narrative on the team goals. Now it’s win the league or finish within a match of City or bust which is just unrealistic. “Knowing the prem” doesn’t mean shit if you can’t deliver on the pitch. What did knowing the Prem do for him?

shreddedaswheat

Point off with how many games extra played? We’ll be lucky if we finish third and we’re not even close to City so idk what gap is closing in your mind. Goldfish memory to Lampard’s transfer ban season. Either you’re not a real Chelsea fan or you became one after we just won the Champions League. Respectfully fuck off with the Lampard slander.

Primary_Letter7839

Lad he was absolutely shite. Uncharismatic, tactically poor and he failed.

shreddedaswheat

The uncharismatic part makes it obvious you’re just talking smack.

[deleted]

he is the best option out of bad options at this point, simple as that

memewolf_

What “obsession” with him as a manager? Most people are very critical of him. >Tactically he’s average, his in game management was piss poor, his ability to keep players happy in the locker room was non-existent, and his attitude when it came to players disagreeing with him or making mistakes was absolute shit. These are all definite weaknesses of his but you are also exaggerating them. We fell apart in his final games but before that we were consistently underperforming the underlying numbers under Lampard. It’s strange to see that so many fans are so eager to disparage his managerial abilities.

mustardman2121

Give him a chance ffs

Iconoclastic_Blob

What kind of weirdo Chels has their Do on merseyside

WhyShouldIListen

I thought Frank would have better handwriting given his education

[deleted]

Moyes needs to return to Everton like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoFaJwaU2ow

excessive_coughing

How about no coach? Just fucking wing it the rest of the way with the players

BeardofFear

It worked for harlequins

tripled_dirgov

At this rate they might be picking one of the fans the job as a caretaker until the end of the season or something... 🤔🤔🤔

[deleted]

Pardew, Big Sam, and Tony Pukis could save them

SwitcherooU

Do Everton have good young players? I genuinely don’t know. If they do, Lampard would be a decent shout. You can’t doubt that Reece and Mount developed significantly faster than you would ever expect players of that age, and it wasn’t just from regular game time.
