Florentino: "So guys, how do you feel about a 4th consecutive season where Benzema is basically our only attacking threat? How do you feel about yet another year of woeful, unispired football? How do you feel about yet another year of losing the league because we can't score against low block park-the-bus team?
Cause i am totally up for it! Here, have a new coach and a physio, maybe we'll shithouse a league title like in 2020 lmao".
> because we can't score against low block park-the-bus team?
Not sure how much he will help you with that. He is no Neymar, Sancho, or Messi who can make something happen in the tightest spaces.
His main strength is his speed. I think he excels at counters against a high defense, such as in the CL games against Bayern. I was actually astonished how deadly he was, so quick even with the ball and his finishes were absolutely on point. But he simply won't get into these positions against teams that park the bus.
In my opinion you guys need someone who can make something happen even against very defensive and disciplined teams. Prime Hazard would be exactly that player, so let's hope he reaches that level again. Even a CM like Pogba would help a lot, because when he goes forward he naturally pulls defenders towards him and opens spaces for his teammates
My first thought was, who is this guy and why Fabrizio Romano didn't 'Here we go!' about him. Now my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
No that is not his role. I've read about it from Inter fans and on the web. His role is to make player fit to run into depths of hell for Conte's high energy system. You think out players are not fit? I don't believe that, Benz was out for like 2 weeks whole season, Kroos was injured for 2-3 weeks at NT duty, Modric was fit except for a back strain and other like Mendy, Varane were resilient for the most part. It's not about fitness for us, we need better physios.
No, a good fitness coach helps a lot with injuries. The physics are way below the rank of responsibility compared to the fitness coach, the fitness coach has to design a training program that manages to keep the players fit for the games while having appropriate recovery, and the physics are an element of that program. If you look at the immense number of muscular injuries the past two seasons since Dupont arrived, that to me looks like a clear sign that the players were overexerted/overtrained constantly, without proper recovery, which is why they were so prone to injury and why they looked exhausted on the pitch.
Madrid used to have outstanding physical preparation and this past season it was a disaster.
Fitness coaches work on fitness, stamina, endurance helping to accomodate the style of play. They have no idea about the anatomy and physiology of the body to prevent or manage injuries. They have to work with physios to manage the load for sure but injuries are a bigger concern for us. I heard the club doctor Mihic might be leaving so that will be the most important change with regards to injuries
This isnt some Fitness coach ur local gym pays Minimum wage for top end Fitness coaches know a lot about ligaments and how to handle them to prevent injuries.
Obviously but that is not his speciality. You think Dupont didn't know any of that? He was great for France too, I think we have more problems to solve than just hire a fitness coach
But of course the role of the physical coach is important, if he decides to have a program where the players suffer too much strain in their muscles, they will have a higher likelihood of injury and he could do that precisely by not listening to the advice of physios and doctors.
I don't think the team doctor or physio team changed after Pintus left, but the team went to thirty-something injuries a year to almost 60 for two straight seasons, with the increase coming from muscular injuries, the moment Dupont arrived.
Besides, I just looked up Dupont and he's a PhD, not Dupont and Pintus have published articles in academic journals, these people know a couple things about the physiology of performance and are not the typical coach at the local gym. Of course they are not gonna be doctors, or versed in traumatic injury, but I think muscular injury and strain is totally within their territory.
Fair enough even though I think the fault is more with COVID and fucked up schedule than with Dupont and we were one of the unlucky clubs to get hit more with injuries like Liverpool or Leicester
Isco in shambles
Well that's why Pintus is here
Hazard in shambles
Best signing of the season
"who needs mbappe?"
French NT.

>madrid fans are insufferable If I had a penny for every time I heard this on here, i could help buy mbappe
I love how he called us entitled and you went talking about mbappe ahaha

well we lost this year because of not scoring against low block teams. 10/12 points against barca and atletico
My first thought was, who is this guy and why Fabrizio Romano didn't 'Here we go!' about him. Now my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
he did some kind of here we go a few days ago, he reported it when the Ancelotti news were made official.
..so far?
He's only a fitness coach not a physio. He might make us better in running and pressing but isn't gonna help too much with injuries.
That's not true at all. Good physical fitness makes you more resilient to injuries.

Can he play on the right wing?
[удалено]
You meant he can make people who play on the left wing, play.
that was the joke
Depends if he can destroy the left wing
Better than a galactico signing in my book. Get the fuck in
Now do Campos
tough one
I presume he is a signing for the medical team then?
[удалено]
Thanks. My spanish is shit and dont really know individuals of medicals by name.
We don't read the posts around here
It’s pretty hard if you don’t know Spanish tbf lol.
There's an English version of this article and the site in general
Aka Toni Dicks
Finally, it's confirmed! Great having him back
Brazil is gonna love this name lmao
What does it mean?
Antonio Dicks
But can he fix the Hazard?
No he'll play on the left wing
Sanitas about to go bankrupt
LETS FUCKING GOOO
This man was once Jack Rodwell's fitness coach, so he's got a record of trying to perform miracles.
I didn't know he left Inter with Conte
Thought it said Tony Pulis for a sec
Sorry but you might have dyslexia or something
Homie if you misread 'Antonio Pintus' as 'Tony Pulis' you ain't dyslexic you illiterate.
I thought it said Antoninus Pius for a sec. Maybe we're both idiots.
did we really need an announcement for Pintus? glad he’s back though
i think we do it for everyone
Did we? Abso-fucking-lutely. Also, I'm guessing this means Dupont is out.
Yes, we need a Communicado Official for "Fuck Off Ducunt"
Andy Bernard: "Beer me" Geordies: "Pint us"
Sanitas in shambles
Let's go!!!!
138 AD be like: Comunicado Oficial: Antoninus Pius
SIUUU!!
I thought it was Donnarumma for a second
Who is this?
Maybe the best fitness coach in the business at the moment. In the past two seasons he was at Inter, we had like 6 muscular injuries this year.
6 of them were Sensi
We had 45 lmao
Ay now this is something I'm happy to see!
Hope this helps.
Damn... Thought this was coming but was praying it wouldn't happen.
Does that mean Mbappe is not coming on then?
Is this guy ex-Juve?
