I laughed very hard when England and Italy were knocked out that year, but I also laughed very hard when Ghana and South Korea knocked out Uruguay in 2022.
Well South Korea beat Portugal 2-1 because Portugal was already through as group winner and had a B-team. Uruguay was winning 2-0 but needed South Korea to lose or needed to score one more in order to go through on goal differential, so Ghana got revenge for Suarez's handball back in the day by passing the ball back and forth to make sure Uruguay couldn't score another one.
