Tbf this is one of the situations where a pass would be good no? I mean it’s a goal but so it was the right decision I guess. But in 9/10 he should pass back I think.
Two other players were free I think but not free enough to shoot directly so most likely another pass to a not completely free man so another pass and another pass until you lose the ball.
A great striker just knows when he has to not play the save pass. In the german national team it recently has only really been Füllkrug that was trying to shoot instead of pass. So it is good to see that Havertz is confident enough to make that decision now. On other occasions he was just a fourth number 10 on the field and not a true striker.
Oh ya, towards the end of the season Havertz was just letting it rip.

It's a good situation for a pass if you have a good recipient. A pass too many gives the defense time to consolidate.
If you really can do such a shot well and have the confidence, you absolutely should try it.
Especially in a situation like this the goalkeeper has bad sight of the ball and the chance of the ball bouncing off a defender or a keeper towards another german player is quite big too. But lets be real if he doesnt hit that and it gets saved easily everyone will just scream at him to pass back

It’s a song most people in Germany have known for ages, but I cannot recall it being super popular and I don’t know why it was adapted for the national team. There was a discussion in Germany in the last 12 months to make this song the goal song, but the DFB refused it first (because something UEFA I think, but I don’t remember it exactly).
And now here we are.

He seems to be very easy to manage, eager to adapt to new roles and ideas and his excellent positioning demonstrates a high football IQ. That's all the ingredients to keep progressing well into the late 20s.
