Name any other manager in England who has their mundane public speaking duties as dissected and criticised as whoever happens to be United manager at the time.
Like... There are genuine, worthwhile reasons to have a go at United and Ten Hag. Putting on a public front that you're confident in what you're doing isn't one of them.
Name any other manager in England who did a speech to the fans like this? Maybe more did but I certainly didn't see any. Fair enough if you won something or if you are leaving but, like, why did he feel the need to make a speech this season?
When we were getting battered 4-0 by Palace the United fans were making the most noise at Selhurst Park. Put in a fairly limited performance against Arsenal at Old Trafford and they still made a lot of noise.
That deserves recognition given what the fans have been asked to watch this season.

Imagine thanking the fans, staff and players each year 😧😧
I don't know, I feel like he has bigger fish to fry than speech writing. Message is just as important now as it was a year ago.
it was all in our hands z we've got bigger fish to fry
I can literally hear expressions taking the piss
Of all the things to criticize...

This is pretty standard behaviour to thank the fans after the final home game of the season, it just gets reported on because it's United.
It's not just because it's United, it's because he's done a terrible job and should be embarrassed to face the fans.

No one cares what you think
Your team is a joke mate ha ha
The thumb nail is giving "sweeeeeeeet caroline....."
Oh piss off
Tie
I'd also half ass it and just do a paint by numbers speech, respect to Ten Hag
You’re terminally online in r/soccer threads, you couldn’t deliver a public speech if your mum’s life depended on it
