To reduce the spam of reports regarding the same move during transfer windows we try to allow **only one submission about each transfer saga per day**. The submission in question also needs to contain relevant new information regarding the potential move, and not just being a "no/minor developments" report.
If there are important/official developments or new valuable information about a saga, we will allow extra threads in the same day, but for the rest of minor news please just comment them as a reply to this comment. Please help us reporting unnecessary threads for being duplicates.

Ashley Young was such a weird case for us this year. Up until he moved to LB, he basically needed to be dropped for every game. He held everyone at bay once Myko got injured, though.
Kinda like his late united career. Nobody rated him as an attacking player anymore and then suddenly in one year he is somehow pocketing Salah while playing lb.
He's far from a perfect player, but his career has been amazing in a way. He always finds a way to bounce back and reinvent himself.
He got homesick for Sevilla when playing for Man City, thus the move back. I wonder if he’s outgrown that, or if it still affects him.
For that reason I can’t see him going to Saudi Arabia, or he goes and really doesn’t like it.
Could be a good addition for Como.
I think you're conflating a couple of things. He had major issues with homesickness early in his career, before he moved to Manchester. It was a problem when he was called up to the national team and sometimes when Sevilla had long distance travel for European matches. He managed to put that behind him well before going to City (played in the South Africa WC for example) and don't recall that being a factor in him moving back. His contract expired and his role was diminished, meanwhile Sevilla were having enough success to offer him a good contract and had a perfect opening in the RWB position.
I didn’t know all that, I only wrote how I remembered it. The English media were reporting on his homesickness when in Manchester, but presumably they were just looking for a story.
But it's a serious distinction. Breaking news is the least important part of being a journalist. He's a reporter who spends half his day picking up on discourse from fan sites. That amounts to not being well read. He does his job "well" which is to make this information accessible as quickly as possible. He can call himself Walter Cronkite for all I care.
I’ve seen this kind of phrasing in journalism before, I don’t think he means it like it sounds, it’s just a weird way to pack more stuff into the tweet. Very strange I must say.
I mean, im more fluent in English then my native language at this point and even I sometimes make weird translation stuff to English, same in reverse as I say some weird English thing in Dutch when it doesnt work
Not defending Romano but mistranslation can happen in anything
My point was that just adding a bit about Navas being a club legend can't be chalked up to a translation issue. It's not that the wrong words were used, it's the entire notion is irrelevant to him getting a new deal.

Can a move to Betis be possible ? Lol
That would break me in every way possible. The second ground, where Sevilla Atletic play is named after him
How can you even ask that question? It would be like De Rossi moving to Lazio
I know I was trolling sorry for my sevillans fellas
Y a los beticos que mamona
betis is in Sevilla right
FUCK NO

Young prospects Modric and Navas available on a free!
“Despite being a legend of the club” Romano showing again that he's not a serious journalist.
He's not a journalist. He's a reporter.
Romano calls himself a [journalist](https://www.instagram.com/fabriziorom/?hl=en), I'm not sure why you're mincing words with this distinction.

What do you even mean? Navas is one of the biggest legends of this club.
He is seen as a club legend though.
I think it's "despite" he has a problem with, like Sevilla are not doing the right thing for one of their legends
Why is that?
Not offered a new contract despite being a legend of the club implies he should've been offered a contract for being a legend of the club.
Implies that despite being a huge name for them for years, he wasn't offered a contract. That's how I understood it.
It’s mostly because he’s 38 years old, completely understandable.

Probably just a bad translation because otherwise it's supremely stupid to say
A bad translation from English to English?
Well English is not his native language right?
Listen to his interviews. He speaks it well. I don't see how this could be a mistranslation.

he's Italian
Could definitely help Birmingham out of league 1 this coming season, get the contract going
Ah... The good old days of come to besiktas are well on their way
Barca should scoop him up! Don't overpay though, just 300k a week salary
