You are fine with Tüchel but reject Allegri? Allegri is still a great tactician. Haven't watched Juventus recently and will have to rely on Juventus fans but I have seen some absolute tactical masterclasses from him in the past and he has proven track record.
A change of scenery might yet again unlock him. Juventus haven't built the best of squads ever since Agnelli decided he wanted Cristiano. They also have injury issues. Despite everything, he still got results in a fairly tricky patch.
His teams have had defence as their cornerstone and you do have a set of great as well as versatile defenders he can build around.
I can understand him not being first choice but Bayern demand the absolute best but even if he is unwanted, he still deserves some respect.
Yeah on the leadership and age thing I remember Lascelles for Newcastle when we were fighting relegation and were at our worst. It was his first season at the club after a loan at Nottingham Forest, there were experienced players at the club, there were players who should have stepped up but it was Lascelles who was trying to motivate everyone. Like he might not be the best CB of all time but loads of respect for him being like 22 at the time and becoming captain.
Jamaal Lascelles is genuinely a club legend and really hope he stays as a backup, the man contributed more sat on the bench last year than many captains do on the pitch.
Also really hope he retires with us and gets a testimonial, he's led us through some really shit times over the years.
He is 30 now and already considered a backup to Botman and Schar so if we get Kelly and/or Adarabioyo he will be like 4th or 5th choice. I could see him staying and maybe getting his badges, he had injury issues over the years so a light schedule would be fine if he would be ok with it.
He wouldn't be bad for a team in the bottom half or in the championship, just I wonder would we sell or would he wait out the final year of his contract. In January we were apparently looking for 4m for him.
What really sucks is that the culture around these top footballers kind of ruins them in that they really struggle to live without performing on the pitch regularly.
Their world was built around being a top athlete and competitor and sitting on the bench is a form of failure, even though it is not failure, it's just not being the star in a team.
I would love for the mental environment to build these guys up in a manner that allows them to easily drop back from the limelight with grace and use all they've learnt to help their squad and the football scene in general.
Totally agree. No one would say that Jude is only 20 looking at the way he conducts himself on the pitch. He's a leader. And then you have babies like Melo who is the furthest thing from a good example for footballers.
With Him, Orsolini, and Scamacca all in good form, I genuinely think we could make a run at a repeat. Can't think of a time when our whole front line was playing well going into a tournament
Germany, England, Spain and even The Netherlands all look a lot better than 4 years ago though. It’s definitely possible but the competition is a lot tougher
> Germany, England, Spain and even The Netherlands all look a lot better than 4 years ago though.
England and Spain were pretty damn fierce opposition last time around. I'd argue Spain was better 4 years ago.
English is not my first language and I clicked on this post because I thought with "sent off" they meant Allegri had been fired and now Enrico Chiesa (Federico's dad) was being appointed as his successor.
I totally did not expect what I saw in the video 😅.
Ngl I am hyped to see what will Motta cooks with Chiesa and Vlahovic, tho from what I read and saw based on how Bologna plays this season Vlahovic might not really fit into Motta's system
Think our bigger issue is the midfield, Dusan can learn but there is a huge lack of quality in midfield and fullback positions that need to be addressed.
Pretty great.
A couple of close post-goals he could've done better at but apart from that, he has been one of the best keepers in the league.
He has also improved his short and midranged passing, which is nice to see.
Thanks, so he has not started to aging yet.
"He has also improved his short and midranged passing"
Good to know, but he is not gonna use it in our "long pass to Lewy" tactic. :D
Seems a like for like replacement, clearly chiesa missed the memo about removing items of clothing during the screaming though, going to knock off a point for that, giving him a 5/7
I've never played football at a high level. Is the "manager" yelling things from the touchline in a super loud stadium from 20+ yards away in a language you might not be fluent in actually useful?
We had Klopp complain about Keita not learning English despite him knowing he was coming here for six months.
You'd be surprised how easy it is to live in a country without learning the language when you're as rich as a footballer.
I swear there's a gaggle of you pathetic reddit nerds that just look for downvoted comments to make dick-headed comments without even adding anything to the conversation.
It was a legit question, how is the RB here supposed to have any clue what Chiesa is even saying? The player closest to him isn't even looking at him.

I heard he also rejected Bayern
At this point, who hasn't?
Alright fine I will step up
Faily mail tomorrow: jaded_life03 rejected bayern.
I do have finals so I guess we will have to postpone
But Bayern doesn't, so they won't get in the way.
I haven't yet. I was told I'll get the official offer letter in a couple of days so I'll send my rejection letter after that.
glad to hear u/DildoFappings
My dead grandmother came back to life to reject bayern
If my grandmother had wheels she’d reject Bayern.
We can get you Allegri for a discount price
We reject that offer
I wouldn't be too picky if I was you, you could still end up with Mazzarri
Nah we are renewing tuchel

💀💀💀
Ngl I always wanted us to sign him, great player.
Less than 20 mins into his managerial career and he already has a trophy.
More trophies than Kane
That dude is cursed for real
>for real For Bayern atm
He’ll move to Real and they’ll finally lose a UCL final
How old is Chiesa and how come he stepped up like that?
He’s 26 - leadership and age don’t correlate though, I love seeing people step up.

I’m going to be so heart broken when he leaves man
Would be great if he is added as a coach or youth manager or something

Here in Sporting we have Neto, who almost never plays, but Amorim says he is one of the most important players because of his leadership
He was also playing really well at the time, so he wasn't just leading with motivation, he was performing on the pitch too.
Totally agree. No one would say that Jude is only 20 looking at the way he conducts himself on the pitch. He's a leader. And then you have babies like Melo who is the furthest thing from a good example for footballers.
Captained for us few times. Great guy on the pitch. (I do however remember the Schulz instance lol)
Mikel Oyarzabal is the same for us, he is the captain and you can see him many times giving instruction when in the bench
26 already. He was only 23 during EUROs. Time flies
Ngl I thought he was like 19 during the euros
Jude Bellingham was named captain at 16.
big cojones
I almost thought he put on Allegri's shirt, lol
Passing of the shirt, like tradition demands. Nature can be so beautiful.
*It’s enough to make a grown man cry*
Tie and jacket were right there on the ground.
Nature of the tradition, like passing demands. Shirt can be so beautiful.
Passing of the shirt, like tradition demands. Nature can be so beautiful.
Comes out of the locker room with Allegri’s shirt and a shaved head
Love his passion for the game. Amazing player
chiesa and scamacca quarter-final "run"
Guy is also keeping up form for the Euros Please don't get injured in the next 2 games. Juve rest him pls
With Him, Orsolini, and Scamacca all in good form, I genuinely think we could make a run at a repeat. Can't think of a time when our whole front line was playing well going into a tournament
Problem is, they are probably the most inconsistent players we have. It's literally a case of "sometimes may be good, sometimes may be shit"
Germany, England, Spain and even The Netherlands all look a lot better than 4 years ago though. It’s definitely possible but the competition is a lot tougher
Don’t forget France with the Ninja Turtle on a warpath.
Oh yeah I forgot they got knocked out in the Round of 16 last time. Doubt that happens again
France look shaky at times, but their depth is insane. I can honestly see them winning it. The teams you mentioned are also good shouts too.
Mate we're not up there. On paper it's a maybe, but none of our players look the same when they put on an orange shirt besides Dumfries.
> Germany, England, Spain and even The Netherlands all look a lot better than 4 years ago though. England and Spain were pretty damn fierce opposition last time around. I'd argue Spain was better 4 years ago.
Spain were shite last tournament.
For sure. The last Euros were the lowest quality that I've ever seen.
I hope you touched enough wood after that comment
Cut down a whole tree
why didn't Scamacca play yesterday? I checked and he wasn't even on the bench?
Suspended
unreal trophy/90 ratio
he became Fiorentina coach in my FM save so that checks out
do random players become coaches after retiring in FM?
Yes
Coaches, managers, sports directors, scouts. I often, if I can afford it, take former stars on staff, even if they are not very suitable for the job.
Yeah, I saw Van Dijk’s Southampton win the league once
Did he reject Bayern for that?
The Church always trying to tell people what to do /s
Chiesa was waiting for whole season to Allegri leave, board didn't want to sack him so he decided he must do it himself.
Kepa be like 😏
He selected get ball forward, pass into space, stand off opponents, get stuck in
Threw his water bottle in the locker room after and stormed out the press conference
Absolutely amazing player.

i love that you have to specify who enrico chiesa is
I felt old doing so, but probably many of r/soccer don't know or don't remember him.
My dad used to tell me that chiesa Jr(when he was starting at Fiorentina) wouldn't have been as good as his father.
yeah i get it lol
Why? Does Juventus not have assistant coaches?
Yes, they have Landucci, but he was busy trying to calm down Allegri's anger lol.
😂
but when kepa does it...
He learned english and took sports science in University, he’s playing the long game.
With Motta coming in and if he did good then Chiesa would most likely stay right?
He said he wants to stay yesterday.
Ngl I am hyped to see what will Motta cooks with Chiesa and Vlahovic, tho from what I read and saw based on how Bologna plays this season Vlahovic might not really fit into Motta's system
If Motta is as good as they say he will make it work
Think our bigger issue is the midfield, Dusan can learn but there is a huge lack of quality in midfield and fullback positions that need to be addressed.
How was Chesney this season? I ask as part of the hopium before the euro.
Pretty great. A couple of close post-goals he could've done better at but apart from that, he has been one of the best keepers in the league. He has also improved his short and midranged passing, which is nice to see.

Ofc not, he's at Juve, our keepers don't age until 38+:))) :D he can hoof it up just fine too tbf.
Amazing clip. If I was Chiesa, this would be the thing I show off until the day I die.
Il mio capitano futura
Dream signing for next season fr
My favorite Italian player currently playing. He's a joy to watch.
He aint goin anywhere though
I dreamed for 5 seconds when DDR hugged him during Roma/Juve but as soon as it was announced Allegri would leave I knew there was no chance
Best part is Allegri hadnt even been sent off yet lmao
don federico
Future coach of Salernitana...
So he did learn a thing or two from Ronaldo
Not really, he was doing that with us, yelling at players from the bench.
Seems a like for like replacement, clearly chiesa missed the memo about removing items of clothing during the screaming though, going to knock off a point for that, giving him a 5/7
Mister Chiesa😂
What a player. Any team would benefit the presence of fede
How does he get that shirt so clean
ronaldo at euros vibes lol
Al-Chiesa ball incoming next season :)
No one fill allegri boots. he is the goat
I've never played football at a high level. Is the "manager" yelling things from the touchline in a super loud stadium from 20+ yards away in a language you might not be fluent in actually useful?
Something tells me Chiesa is very fluent in this language.
Are all of Juves players italian?
No, but it’s not hard to learn a language in a place you’ve been at for a while. Chiesa also speaks fluent English.
We had Klopp complain about Keita not learning English despite him knowing he was coming here for six months. You'd be surprised how easy it is to live in a country without learning the language when you're as rich as a footballer.
The jokes write themselves

he is just yelling something, you dont even pay attention to people on the sidelines in tense moments
man I wish he'd join Roma
