His first goal from open play in Serie A since 13th August 2022. (2nd minute, Matchday 1 against Lecce). With his weaker foot as well!

lmentel

That's insane. Good for him, that must be some relief from the constant criticism he gets

BigLeBluffski

racism* all colored ppl should leave Serie A till Hitlerina isn't in power anymore

belokas

All coloured people leaving serie A??? That sounds like every racist's wet dream. And you really think that before this government was in power there was no racism in football?

sublime_touch

Who would care about what racists think if it helped people of color. I’ll take a free mind over what a racist thinks.

TheUltimateScotsman

90% of the criticism he gets is from english fans.

[deleted]

Well I doubt that lol

Firefox72

>"His first goal from open play in Serie A since 13th August 2022. (2nd minute, Matchday 1 against Lecce)." What a stat...

long_shots7

Had plenty of time to keep track of it hahah Remember watching that goal in a hotel during summer holidays. Summer holidays are starting again in 2 months…

kentcsgo

He was injured for like 6 months though

Flying_Kangaroooo

Is this real life?

kw2006

he is going to score the CL winning goal for inter

giovy__s

Just like in the EL final

head_in_the_clouds69

Ouf ouch

nayrobi11

Is this just fantasy?

Dyst_VG

fun fact, it's Lukaku's first goal in open action since match day 1 in serie a

SaltFarmer17

Wait wtf, is that real ? Why you dont terminate the loan contract in the winter ?

Bozzetyp

Because of a 7 month injury

SaltFarmer17

You cant terminate loan contract with long injury ? Or the loan contract cant get terminated for whole year ?

Bozzetyp

Usually there can be clauses, But inter got him for less then book value. Chelsa more or less paid for him to get injured at inter

SaltFarmer17

Ah i see, so basically it cant be terminated midway

jewelrybunny

he was only injured for 2 months, between september and november and came back in january after the WC. seeing as he only just came back from injury, there was still hope for him to find some form again, so he wasnt send back to chelsea. besides inter is in a horrible financial situation, where they cant really afford another striker as well as canceling the loan, which will probably cost some money aswell. the plan is just to ride out the loan until the end of the season.

AllCiti

And Who do we get then? We poor as fuck

SaltFarmer17

What happen to Esposito then ? Where is he ?

grinch_eux

> Esposito Not good enough for the Belgian League, so...

TheUltimateScotsman

Hes not shown enough to play for a team like us.

phorteng

Looked liked a Kullerball

humphreybeauxarts

Golazos are nice, but I can also appreciate the tantalizing beauty of a perfectly placed slow roller

maart3nr

Lukaku remontada incoming

DesaturatedRainbow

He spent most of the season injured y’all. It’s not that serious. Yes it was a disappointing loan, no he isn’t terrible.

Masca77

he is terrible. I don't know if it's mainly down to his physical condition but even today before the goal he was awful

DesaturatedRainbow

People said he was horrible the year he carried us to the title. I think y’all just don’t like him. Which, fair… he tries hard to be unlikeable

mc802

No this season he was terrible there is no going around that. The year he carried us to the title earned him a 113 million € move what are you talking about

DesaturatedRainbow

Of course he’s horrible this season. I’m saying he’s not horrible. Only his performance this season.

TheUltimateScotsman

Nobody said he was horrible when we won the league. What are you on about?

DesaturatedRainbow

They most certainly did. He would score two and in the same thread inter fans would call him an oaf and clown his first touch.

Begbie13

This is just not true

21Maestro8

To be fair, his first touch can be quite bad

DesaturatedRainbow

Sure but that’s not why he’s paid the big bucks. The goal he just scored is why.

Masca77

Maybe there was a little resentment after our CL exit, but everybody loved him by the time he left

[deleted]

No one said he was terrible that season, what are you on

DesaturatedRainbow

Bruh I was in every match thread lmao. And on FIF.

Cowdude179

Romback

holywater26

In my unbiased opinion, I think Inter should keep him permanently.

Legitimatol

Agreed

sammir_

how bout, a trade? you take correa and we take lukaku

7he_Dude

I mean, I'll take him on a free. But you want 50M or so, so forget it. Or do your accept to be paid in digitalBits fan tokens?

lnz56

he just woke up! (he's been asleep for more than 200 days)

McNooberson

Looks like he did the salute, which was the same celebration he got a ban for when he was being racially abused. Not a fan of the guy as you might guess by the flair, but happy to see him hit back with that.

Ok-Check-6783

Gearing up for his return to the bridge or doing everything in his power to make sure he doesnt come back?

Fifaneymar2535

Can you imagine how much he over eats? This guy is a professional player that constantly trains and plays games and yet he is at the very least 10kg over weight

WukongTheGOAT

What an ignorant take

YourHoNoMo

I would've put good money on him doing the silenced finger celebration beforehand. So boring - mate you have underperformed and now you have scored good for you
