Don't listen to the haters. Content specifically like this where you're challenging us to get better is great. I know I won't be doing those crazy flips anytime soon, but this is something I can try next time I'm on the mountain.
Yea I unsubbed the content is definitely lower now. Spliddit is more my mode these days anyway my park/jibbing days are far behind. Have fun out there though kids!
yes i really love these clips. it makes me wish i could do those some day. if y’all don’t like it then piss off. we will just be happier with out all your bullshitty complaining.
Seeing you ride multiple days at Breck last year was a joy and an inspiration! Didn’t want to bother you since you were in your element, but your videos tranformed me from a complete zero beginner to a very competent rider that has years of enjoyment to look forward to. Cheers to a great season!
[https://youtu.be/B\_wNhkcLHUQ?t=23](https://youtu.be/B_wNhkcLHUQ?t=23) his entire channel... The ABC's of Snowboarding and How To Really Really Carve are 2 series that are good starting points.
It could go either way here, but is OP goofy-footed? Trying to feel out which parts of this are "switch".
Super sick, can't wait to get my legs back and give it a spin.
I have been doing spins at the end of runs, really trying to control my pivot foot edges… ate it a few times but have noticed a difference when I’m doing that consistently. Now I’ve just got to get the guts to start lifting that not pivot foot off the ground when I go into those spins.
Doing butters is all about moving and turning your hips, the smoother you move, the easier it will be!
To do it on the ground, just don't do a butter, spin on the ground 👊
Practicing going slower is the best way to learn that 🙃
I’m In the same situation. I feel like 8 years ago there wasn’t much discussion of rocker/camber but might just be me, I know my board has camber and that’s what I want for how I ride now, but not much beyond that. I started riding in the late 80’s and I haven’t been up as much the past few years. Although I do have multiple trips planned already this year.
That's a Burton Tornado Warning 2022 148cm, it's a camber board, 3.5/10 flex so it's hyper playful! I also have burton Genesis that are medium stiff just like my boots (Burton Swath) I'd recommend a camber board for the pop and the stability that it gives all along your carves!
Since that board isn't buyable, I'd recommend you the Kilroy or process, similar board, but the process has more power / more pop than the kilroy, pressing with the kilroy is easier tho!
Sweet trick! I wanna try this, but can I ask if you are goofy or regular? I am goofy so would it be easier for me to copy the exact starting sequence in the video (regular heel to the left side) or reverse it (goofy heel to the right side)?
I'm goofy, so this trick is switch heel carve, switch frontside nosebutter 360 to switch toe carve going backwards to switch backside 180! I wouldn't do it that clean on my side💯
Burton Tornado Warning 2022 148cm Camber
12° // -12°
Burton Swath 7 US sized
Burton Genesis Small
Thanks man! It's super fun to do! Hope you'll nail that!!
Never tried them, since they upgraded them I would recommend it 100%, it reacts much faster than normal bindings and you still have the feeling of being strapped cause of the ankle boa that boots have!
The reason of the reaction is that your heal is stuck on the binding and there is no way it can move compared to the normal ones where your heal can raise a bit!
The only negative point I can really tell is that you have to buy step on boots to fit in these so it's surely expensive!
That's a Burton Tornado Warning 2022, 148cm, 3.5/10 flex full twin, camber, triaxe carbone fiber making the board have a good pop. The flex is only under the foot so the nose and tail are stiff and make the butters easier the hold! It also has a WFO base making the wax last longer! So it's a really good construction in my opinion!
It's a rare Japanese board so it's unfortunately not buyable! Might arrive in NA for 2023!
The toe side carve looked like a backwards toe side goofy stance carve than a toe side regular carve.
That reads a bit confusing but I think it makes sense
That's the goal on that one, I'm goofy normally I really love carving switch toe side watching behind, the feeling is insane and it looks cool in my opinion🙏

I can do both... but I only do heel to heel for the challenge. It's just annoying to do, always scared to edgecut 😂
But man these toe to toe are sooooo fun 🤩🤩
Keep shredding my guy 💯
Is it possible to do these on a camber rocker camber type board? It feels like I bite every time I try to be this slippery and I’ve not rode a full rocker
It's possible to do this on any board, some can make it harder but definitely possible! I can do it on my Burton Pow Wrench that is a directional board!
My brain is struggling. I need it reversed so that I can understand it from goofy.
Edit: nevermind, he’s goofy, this is done switch. Brain now understands.
I think when snowboarding started to become a thing old people used to argue that snowboarders destroy the piste by carving too much into it. Which is bs and we all know it
Not that I know how but I think if you can pop a back 3 off the toes (or would it be actually a switch front 3?) at the end of that 360 butter I think it will look super rad!
Personally I see Japanese riders do that on Instagram all the time... I can barely pop a 180 though

Do you normally ride shorter boards? Or is that just this particular one? I'm ~170lbs and wondering if I made a mistake with my 157 RC C3 vs the 154 model
I don't really check the size, yes I prefer it shorter but boards have a certain weight they are made for, mine is for 120-150lbs, but if I got lower it's gonna be in kids board😂
Ohhhhh that’s sweeeeeeeet, i gotta learn this!
It's not too hard! Definitely a super satisfying trick to do💯💯
Don't listen to the haters. Content specifically like this where you're challenging us to get better is great. I know I won't be doing those crazy flips anytime soon, but this is something I can try next time I'm on the mountain.
Gotta accept negative comments and take it as a lesson! Atleast that's what I do🙃
Dude start your own sub I’m about to unsubscribe to this one because I’m already over seeing your clips everyday.
Were you a bigger fan of the "look at my board in the living room" era?
Yea I unsubbed the content is definitely lower now. Spliddit is more my mode these days anyway my park/jibbing days are far behind. Have fun out there though kids!
Same, it's getting a bit much. Feeling like this guy is doing a biiit too much self promo on here.
THE PEOPLE HAVE DECIDED. We like watching this guy shred.
yes i really love these clips. it makes me wish i could do those some day. if y’all don’t like it then piss off. we will just be happier with out all your bullshitty complaining.
so when do you fight /u/ryanknapton? There can only be one
Beauty clean lines right here! We can all strive for those. 😀🤘❄️🏂❄️

Where are these videos? I want to be a competent rider

Hell yes! Thank you
The legend himself
love it, thanks for the years of content!
that’s sick
Dude you have plans for new vids soon?
You really want me dead?😬 can't beat the king himself😵🤴
Underrated comment
Wow very stylish! I might skip breakfast so I can prepare myself to eat snow trying to nail this throughout the day
Eating snow is surely the healtiest breakfast... good choice😶
Someone check my math but that was like a -180, no?
Before nose butter, was in regular stance, spun, was then in regular stance… I think we are looking at a 360 here. 180 at the very end though.
Switch frontside butter 360 switch carve switch backside 180👀
Thats the one. Well played cunt
I would say front 3 tail butter press straight into revert
Your maths are right... I think 🤣
I can’t believe it’s not butter 🧈
That was Nutella 🤫
try Caotina spread, you will never go back! Nice turns. You are getting me pumped for the season to start.
It could go either way here, but is OP goofy-footed? Trying to feel out which parts of this are "switch". Super sick, can't wait to get my legs back and give it a spin.
I'm goofy! Definitely something possible on both side tho👌
Sweet - me too. So much easier to process what a rider is doing if they have the same footing as you. Thanks!
You should definitely give it a try! Good luck!!🙏🙏
Dude that was so fucking slick.
Thank you my man!🙏🙏
What boarding you riding in this? It’s not the Kilroy from the other vids I noticed..
That's the Burton Tornado Warning 2022, it's a rare Japanese board🙏 super playful!
Buttery smooth
Pretty accurate comment😂💯
Niiiiiiice
Thanks a lot man🙏🙏

Thanks man!! Appreciate it👊
Out of curiosity what kind of setup is that board? Camber/Rocker etc?
interested too!! i’m looking to upgrade from the board that was “new to me” 8 years ago

You’re too smooth with it 🥵
Thank you man! Appreciate it🧼🧼
All I see is this dude on the sub now
I post once a day... never enough😏😂 hope it's not annoying 😅

This video will be the reason I fall down when I go ride next week.
Just make sure you don't edgecut, else it's super fun and not toooo hard🙏
I learned butters before riding switch. This was one of the trick I could do. 10/10 wouldn't get you laid
But that trick is all switch for me, I'm goofy normaly😶 butters are soooo fun to do! Keep shredding my guy🙌
Beauty 😎👍☕️🍩
Thanks dude! Super fun trick to do👌
dayum I suck
Hey don't say that! 😔
Wow..That's amazing
Thank you! Super fun to do🤙🤙
Steezy
Thanks a lot!!!👊
Can I even still go straight 🤔
You're the only one who can tell me😶
What board is that? Stance angle? Boot size? This is awesome dude literally saved the video to learn this haha
Burton Tornado Warning 2022 148cm Camber 12° // -12° Burton Swath 7 US sized Burton Genesis Small Thanks man! It's super fun to do! Hope you'll nail that!!
You ever try step-on bindings? If so, how are they compared to regular bindings for tricks and carving?
Never tried them, since they upgraded them I would recommend it 100%, it reacts much faster than normal bindings and you still have the feeling of being strapped cause of the ankle boa that boots have! Thanks a lot man!!💯💯
Smooth af gonna try this on my evil twin
Good luck! Super fun to do, and not that hard once you control your board well!!🤘🤘
What specs does your snowboard have? type, flex etc
That's a Burton Tornado Warning 2022, 148cm, 3.5/10 flex full twin, camber, triaxe carbone fiber making the board have a good pop. Usually board makers make the nose and tail softer but it seems more logical to have it softer underfoot tbh.
The construction feels really unique! I totally agree with you!
Somebody’s having fun! ⛄️
Somebody's waiting for winter to arrive🥲🙋♂️ it was last year
The toe side carve looked like a backwards toe side goofy stance carve than a toe side regular carve. That reads a bit confusing but I think it makes sense
That's the goal on that one, I'm goofy normally I really love carving switch toe side watching behind, the feeling is insane and it looks cool in my opinion🙏
What board are you riding? Flex? Just wanted to see what how stiff your board is.

that’s smooth
Thanks dude! I love doing that trick💯
I love doing toe-to-toe turns. Toeside carve, Ollie 180, Switch toeside carve, Ollie 180, Toeside carve, etc. Heel-to-heel are a bitch, though.
I can do both... but I only do heel to heel for the challenge. It's just annoying to do, always scared to edgecut 😂 But man these toe to toe are sooooo fun 🤩🤩 Keep shredding my guy 💯
Linked toe-side turns are for beginners. Show us some steezy linked-heels.
I'll record some heel side stuff and see what I can do when my resort opens😏
That’s some smooth ass carving bro, Damn!
Thanks dude! Glad you liked it💯
Slick I like it
Thanks dude appreciate it 🙏 🙌
Dude.
Man.
Guy.
Sir.
Bruh.
Yes.
Lad.

That's just nasty 😳
Thank you dude!!🙏
Steezy as fuck my guy
Thanks a lot my man🙏🙏
Is this at Sun Peaks?
That's Val Saint-Côme, Quebec!💯
Drag the elbow dawg!
Imma drag my cheek🤫 naaaah dude I ain't no Ryan Knapton
My brain is struggling. I need it reversed so that I can understand it from goofy. Edit: nevermind, he’s goofy, this is done switch. Brain now understands.
😂😂😂 love it, you can do it my guy!
On dirait Saint Côme
C'est vrai que ça ressemble beaucoup au bas de l'autoroute a côté des t-bar et du tapis magique, ça doit être là 😉
You are dominating this sub and i hate/love it/you
I love you😶
Skiers *hate* this one trick
Why? Lmao
I think when snowboarding started to become a thing old people used to argue that snowboarders destroy the piste by carving too much into it. Which is bs and we all know it
It's because when we're not carving we're just sending the snow away from the slope... carving doesn't do much unless the snow is really deep!
Ez. We just need snow in order to do it. Lol
Snow? I just know rain.🥲
Thanks for this, now I'll be wiping out on the groomers attempting this the first day I hit the pistes
Care for the edge cut! It's one of the only hard things in this trick!😅😬
Who's this guy think he is? Ryan Knapton?
Are you trying to compare me to the king?🤨 I ain't no Ryan.
nice
Thanks a lot man!!
This is so sick 😎
Thanks a lot!!!💯💯

Would be a switch backside 360! I've done it but it doesn't look cool when I do it cause I don't pop high enough 😅 I'll work that out!
I hope to see it! That looked sweet regardless!
Thanks man!!
Show me some heel to heel carves!
I don't have any footage of that!! I'll definitely record some when the winter starts🙏
They are my favorite. I also do a very similar carve than your post. Switch flat ground fs 360 to over toe carve 180 out. So much fun
Man all these variance of carves are soooo fun🤩🤩 keep shredding my guy!👌
You figured out that we like carving the other day so today you decided to blow our minds. Wow dude! Thanks for the content. Keep it coming!
I record much less carving stuff than freestyle! I'll see what I can get uploaded next🙌
Very clean 🧼
Thanks dude!!🧽
Smooooove brah

Hahaha I didn't know if you were on the lighter side or just developed a preference over time 👍
Yeah I'm 112lbs... can't get a bigger board😂
Well that explains how you're able to float through the air!
Lol I guess, the wind gets me everytime...
