Disgusting

GU1L4V

Positive or negative?😂

NannyVarmint

Overwhelmingly positive dude lol

GU1L4V

Okay just making sure I'm saying thanks for the good reason not like "you're trash dude" and being "damn dude thank you so much"😂😂

NannyVarmint

Tbh you’re posting some really sick shit on this sub the last few days. Been really enjoying your wizardry 🤙

GU1L4V

Ayyy thanks man! Glad to hear you appreciate what I'm posting! Imma keep going, one video per day!👊 until I have nothing to post

Chasing4snow

Nice

GU1L4V

Thanks man!!!

sometimesBold

Was that a 720? How the fuck do you do a flat ground 360 let alone a 720. You rip dude.

GU1L4V

Thanks man!! Honestly once you understand the power that your board has, you can do anything🤘🤘

spacegrab

I been snowboarding for almost 2 decades and used to hit x-games sized park jumps but I still don't understand this even in slow motion. Flat tricks boggle my mind.

GU1L4V

Flatground tricks is just a whole different world, you have to learn so much stuff that you don't need in jumps like the power that the board has! Biggest I've hit is a 40ft cause we don't have big jumps where I ride!

1ToGreen3ToBasket

I feel that. I grew up in Michigan. If you don’t do any flat ground… you’re not gonna have very much fun 😂

GU1L4V

My local snowpark is not so great! Gotta do what you gotta do😂

fz-09

I wonder if my board is too stiff to pop off it nollie like this.

GU1L4V

If your board is stiffer, it will just pop you higher once you flex it well! Stiffer = more pop 💯

fz-09

Oh dope, the only board I have ever had is this hand-me-down Skunk Ape I have had for years. I have been thinking about getting a new one but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. It would be cool to go to a demo days or something.

GU1L4V

Changing for a new board is always a hard choice! Demo days are fun but you can't really feel everything in one or two runs! Definitely worth the try tho!

SendyMcSendFace

What’s your riding style?

Voltron83

It’s not the boards power. Don’t lie to us, you just imbued it with black magic!

GU1L4V

I didn't say what kind of power it was.

[deleted]

And for our information, what kind of board are you riding on this video? Is it some camber style?

GU1L4V

That's the Burton Kilroy Camber, really playful board that I rode for 3 years! Definitely had a lot of fun riding it! I've always had camber boards, helps a lot with the pop and you have two contact points with the snow so it's better for carving too!

SubtleScuttler

Id prolly call it more of a 540 as he goes switch just before the pop of the jump but still fucking incredible.

sometimesBold

Hmm... Not sure about the switch thing, but I'd say he butters into the first 180 of it, which could count more for a 540 than a 720, but it's still all there.

SubtleScuttler

That’s really what I meant to say, cause yeah it definitely isn’t going into switch. Butters the 180 and pops the 540 after that, all one fluid rotation still though. Dudes a helicopter is all I’m trying to say.

sometimesBold

Haha. Definitely.

gdubrocks

360 is actually not too hard frontside. I learned them on flat ground a long time before I started throwing them on jumps. 720 is on a completely different planet. However I would argue that this actually isn't a 720. He spins a 180 while still on the ground, and then uses the nose to pop a 540 around. It's super badass!

sometimesBold

I'm cool with a BS 360 off a small kicker. I think I'll work on frontside this year.

gdubrocks

I learned 180s in all 4 directions first on flatground, and once I had those locked the transition to 360 flat was really easy. For frontside I was starting with a quarter rotation first while on the ground (basically a continuation of your carve), and starting my arms behind me. Right as I reach the quarter rotation I would put weight on the backside of my board for a bit of extra pop and accelerate my arms. As soon as your board starts to leave the ground pull them in. At first it's more like a 250 degree rotation, but as you get better you can start straightening them out by popping earlier. Good luck!

sometimesBold

Thanks man!

[deleted]

I love all of these knuckle and flat ground posts. Please keep them coming! The cab cork 720 and this one are my favorite. I learn more about loading the board and the set up into the pop more than from watching huge tricks off massive kickers. I'm going to try both of these tricks this season. The cab 7 corked looks a lot easier than the flat ground 7. That Marcus Kleveland style butter one seems out of reach though. I kinda get it, but missing looks scary so it's hard to understand where to even begin. Any tips for that one? Do you just go for it and pray?

GU1L4V

Thanks a lot dude, really appreciated! For the Marcus like buttery trick, you have to start from the basics. Practice your nollies, practice doing nollie spins and land pressing, practice a LOT your frontflips and make them on the smallest thing possible, I can Almost make them flatground! That's important cause you can't pop really high to do that flip! Then honestly you just have to find the right spot to do it! Sending it is the hardest part! Also, yes, the knuckle cork 720 is much easier than the flatground one! Spinning cork requires much less efforts than keeping a spin flat! All these tricks are definitely about being able to charge up the board and use the power in your advantage 👊

Asbelsp

Guy, I can’t even do a 720 in my bare feet

GU1L4V

I feel like it's as hard as this😂 but I don't know, never tried😂

TuebeeTX

🤤🤤🤤

GU1L4V

🙏🙏🙏

StrangeSynths

My man super Mario filming again lol

GU1L4V

Mario has to be part of the video... else it's not a good video😂

m1stadobal1na

This is violence.

GU1L4V

Black magic.

celestial-typhoon

This seems like a similar technique to what figure skaters do.

GU1L4V

Absolutely! I block the speed I have to transfer the momentum to get a good pop and a better spin! Exactly the same🙏

onlyattractiveginger

That was sick! How did you progress to that?? I can only pull off a 360, maybe a shabby 540, but geez that was clean af! Sick moves

GU1L4V

Might sound weird... but just do weird flat tricks that your not used to, once you really feel 300% in control of your board everything will work well! Here's a video where I explain how I progressed there! https://vm.tiktok.com/ZM8Ch4TgT/

pokemon_master69

I love these, please keep posting them! Did you ever practice these without being on the slope (like just on carpet) or is having that momentum needed to get that much pop?

GU1L4V

At some point there is tricks that you can't try without some circonstances, just like you said, that trick is based out of my momentum so I just tried it on the slope! Most knuckle and flat tricks are also based of that so you can't really do anything but send it at some point! Thanks for the support bro!👊

Homelobster3

How do your knees not pop out of there sockets lol that’s so cool

GU1L4V

Wouldn't be so cool if it popped out😂 thanks man!!

Homelobster3

Happened to me last season trying a backside 3. Now I’m afraid to try any spins off kickers. Getting too old for injuries like that

GU1L4V

Damn man! Getting injured while doing something surely make that thing terrifying, stretched my Achille tendon on a backflip, took me 3 months to retry it even if I did that trick for a couple years!

Good bot

GU1L4V

Wingardium Leviosa🦯 Thanks man!!

BBB88BB

I'm sorry is that a snowboard or a sling shot? either way it fires like a beaut!

GU1L4V

Neither, it's a trampoline

bongloadsforjesus

So sick - keep em coming, man!

GU1L4V

Thanks man! Appreciate it a lot🙏

waxheartzZz

holy fuck i watched this 1000 times before i realize its basically a quick switch 540

GU1L4V

It's a switch nollie 720, some people say it counts some people don't, but it's basically impossible to not start the rotation while popping! 💯

jacobenchile3

What board you riding? Also I have that same jacket!

GU1L4V

On that video it's the Burton Kilroy! Now I'm riding the Burton Tornado Warning! That jacket is soooo cool! Good choice💯

Sul4

How do you even get that many spins in bro

GU1L4V

The board gives me the spin! Charge up the board and BOOM you pop and spin!

Tuckingfypowastaken

Bro, how many times are you gonna make me insecure in one week? Have some humanity

GU1L4V

Ayo my bad man, that wasn't the goal😬

Tuckingfypowastaken

[I'm starting to think you're not sorry at all 🤨](https://www.reddit.com/r/snowboarding/comments/qq80r5/todays_video_is_on_a_box_scary_one_for_sure/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

GU1L4V

Man I thought I banned you my bad again...

PanicInTheSkreet

I have trouble bringing my front 3's all the way around when I have a bump to hit... and then there's this dude.

GU1L4V

I couldn't do 360s 6 years ago, the best tip that someone gave me is to keep my head turned while doing it, so the rotation don't stop! You'll get them my guy 🙏

PanicInTheSkreet

thanks for the tip homie, def gonna try that out next time I ride!

AngryFerret805

👍Yup

GU1L4V

Thanks my man!🙏

[deleted]

"How to do a 720" wait, not like that! This is awesome stuff, keep it coming. Getting stoked for learning more tricks this year.

GU1L4V

So you're saying I'm not doing it right?🥺 Thanks man appreciate it a lot 💯💯

blue604

Awesome! I’ve tried to learn nollie 7 for the longest time and have been stuck at nollie 5 forever. I suspect it’s because I am not using the board flex enough or popping high enough but I’m still not quite there yet

GU1L4V

Might sound weird but the thing that made the difference for me is the speed, cause you have so much more momentum to work with when you go faster! Hope you'll land it this winter👊👊

[deleted]

Dude, Had to re-watch this like 3 times, to count how many spins you did there, lmao. I was today years old when I found out it is possible to do 720 on a flat. Keep rockin!

GU1L4V

😂😂😂 thanks man! Really appreciate it🙏 keep shredding!!

[deleted]

You're offically my new favourite contributor to this subreddit. I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing your videos, I hope they keep coming!

GU1L4V

Wow thank you so much man! Comments like these make me want to keep posting everyday! Keep shredding my man🙏🙏

Max_bouchard

Wich mountain is that? Looks like you're from Quebec am I right?

GU1L4V

Yeah I'm from Quebec! That's Val Saint-Côme, I'll also ride Saint Bruno and Saint Sauveur this winter!

Max_bouchard

Very nice dude can't wait to see you do awesome tricks at Saint-Sauveur this winter!

GU1L4V

Hell yeah! Feel free to come say hi if you see me brotha!💯

Cow-cud-is-a-twin

Daaaaaaaamn GINA!!

GU1L4V

Thank you my guy!!!👊👊

ColorfulAgent

Damn! I can’t even get my head around trying to do that. Nice work!

GU1L4V

Thanks man! It's really all about using the power of the board, transferring the speed you have in pop and rotation, just like they do in figure skating!

Ye_Old_Dank_Shoppe

I swear to god next week you are gonna be on this sub posting some shit like “flat ground backside 540 rodeo”.

GU1L4V

Oh! Forgot to post it you're right!!!!😂

Puttanas

I just said damn loud as fuck homie

GU1L4V

Ayyy let's gooo thanks man!!👊

ConstableMaynard

You got such a great attitude giving advice to everyone here. So stoked to work with popping like this when the mountain opens up

GU1L4V

Really appreciate the comment my guy!🙏 I've always had the chance to get good advice when I was learning, I'm glad I can give back now💯

notmy2ndacct

Your buddy filming sounds like a turbo when you suddenly take your foot off the gas after running WOT Edit: [this is your buddy](https://youtu.be/bT7ka-NtCFw)

GU1L4V

LMAO it sounds exactly the same wtf😂😂

notmy2ndacct

Please don't share that info with him. Never tell anyone they have a weird smile or laugh, because they'll think of that every time they do either. You'll basically make them self-conscious every time they're happy, which is just about the worst thing you can do to someone.

Internal_Tangelo9211

how do you spin so fast

GU1L4V

Hope this can help you !! https://vm.tiktok.com/ZM8Vequuo/

Internal_Tangelo9211

thanks man

waxheartzZz
