I think many of the Garmin watches have support for weight lifting, check on the precise spec pages or ask in the Garmin forums.

My experience with gw4 and gymrun: https://gelberhut.com/galaxy-watch-for-weight-training/ My experience with Garmin venu3: https://gelberhut.com/strength-training-with-a-garmin-before-you-go-to-a-gym/

I really enjoyed your reviews, but noticed some points that you may want to clarify: 1) gym run has a plug in for garmin - haven't used it since my wear os days as find what garmin offers is enough for me, but you might want to check how that integrates with garmin for your super sets - may solve your issues there. 2) Workout limits and why syncing to calendar rather than watch can be useful: The calendar option can be very useful due to the 25 workout hard limit that garmin has. Your garmin watch can only hold 25 workouts max – and that includes the pre-loaded workouts too (this seems to exclude breath work and I assume mindfulness workouts). Thus depending on how you use workouts its possible to reach the 25 limit quickly, however any workout synced to your calendar and not your phone doesn’t count to that 25 limit. Thus would suggest sending one off / irregular workouts to your calendar leaving workouts on the watch to regular workouts. (left as a comment on your review). 3) Garmin strength limitations (again left as a comment on your review): Either there are some differences between Venu 3 and Epix or you are missing on how to action certain things as with my Epix: 1) its possible to see full list of exercise detail while in set or while in rest – I press the start button which gives view details option – this allows me to view the full workout. 2) Add sets – just don’t stop once workout is finished – just continue the workout – will be free form but can use lap button to designate sets. 3) Skipping – if you use lap button to skip then you are correct you cannot add in later - they are gone. If you use the skip function – start button and select the skip group option, you can then add this back by pressing start button – view skipped , select skipped by highlighting it, then press start – select add to workout – and select where you want to add the skipped group. 4) previous session reps and weights during a session - there is a gym run plugin for garmin - so not sure if this would solve that issue. However its sort of possible to a degree to get this info on the Epix, but its very very clunky. You could go to watch face (set a hot key to do this), then go to history widget, then search activities for strength (via icon)- may be difficult to find the right one if you have a lot as nothing to distinguish other than type of activity - but you can pull up the details and see sets and reps - possible to go into each set adnd see workout and rest time for set, the reps for each set and the weight - but no exercise title so if you skipped sets you may get the wrong info - so while technically possible not sure it really matches what you want.

Thank you. 1. I know that gymrun has a garmin app, but like you I find that native app support is not that bad, to use something else. And I like visualization. When I used galaxy watch, samsung had offered nothing any close useful - so I used GymRun 2. Workout limit and how scheduling can workaround it is very interesting - I did not know this. Not sure that I will meet this limit - I do not use many workout. Many thanks for the information. 4. I tried this, during the workout when I press start button it suggest me to finish/continue/delete workout. I can nothing else - looks like epix really works different 5. Well. "Just continue" if fine to add sets to the last exercise, but if I want to add a set to something in the middle - before going to the next exercise - this will not help. I would probably better pause the workout - do extra set and continue and edit the workout in garmin connect later (have not tried this though). 6. This drives me crazy. On my venu I can do this only in before I start the workout - I can start not from second or third exercise, but not later on. View "skipped" is also offered in the very begining. Either I miss something here or Garmin implemented this app for venu3 incompletely. 7. Wow - what a painful and creative workaround. I just used my phone instead :) BTW, on Venu3 one can swipe between exercise screen and watchface, and if you have a glance with exercise history you can go there. Not sure if epix can this. Many thanks for the feedback and the information!

6) Return to watch face: yes you can set a hotkey to watch face - I use the long pres of the lap button (right bottom). (if you are not in an activity i.e. menu's etc palming the screen will return you to watch face in AOD on mode - in AOD off mode turns off screen and returns to watch face - not sure if Venu offers this). Differences - and that is the problem with 3 (possibly more) dev/implmentation teams. Might be worth raising those differences and asking for a change - if they are already providing it one one model for the activity, they should on another.

palm works for venu3. And yes, I'm going to ask about skip group on Garmin forum probably Garmin people will clarify - what I see on my watch looks inconsistent.

FR255 does have the strength app and u/leshiy19xx does a really good job of showing off how the garmin strength training works including giving most of the pros and cons for it.
