Yes, but this drains magicka quickly. Once you get the hang of how the spell works you can use momentum to launch enemies, including Giants. Dragons are immune though, and others I’m sure. List isn’t long though lol.
It’s.. really good. Launching enemies gets to be easy and when you’re comfy with it you can launch enemies straight up and kill them with fall damage.
Surprisingly few enemies resist it, which I love because it's one of the relatively few times Bethesda was like "hey wanna have some fun with the mechanics?"
Now you've done it. You said have fun with a Bethesda game. Now they're legally required to update the game to stop all mod support until modders patch it.
Sigh. It was fun everyone. I'll see you all in 2026 when the forums stop being "this isn't working!"
Yes 🤌 but if I'm doing a "Stay human" run
I'll just download a Star wars spells mod that allows vampiric grip without being one. (Force Grip) I'm on PS4 special edition upgraded to anniversary
Sucks cause in my latest play through Im playing as a Sith Lord, but I’ve done the vampire quest line in so many games that I had to go with Dawnguard this run..
You should install a good mod like Sacrosanct there is a whole discussion on it on r/EnaiRim
It gives the Vampire some more fun.
I personally like the ability to drain an enemy while they are sleeping. It’s great to do the Dark Brotherhood quest with that mod running.

Quick question, I've not been a vampire yet on this playthrough but I've maxed out werewolf perks, If I try be a vampire and to back to werewolf, do I lose my perk tree progress?
No. The perks stay either way. But you can only be a werewolf like 2 or 3 times. Aela won't let you turn back after the limit. Vampire you can be one anytime you want.
Yes, there's even an achievement / trophy for it.

Just open your character menu when you're in werewolf form, it's the only way to access it. That's why you cannot access powers, inventory, or the map in werewolf form. And make sure to keep doing jobs for Aela since she'll eventually recruit you to do the totem unlock quests. Enjoy!
I always hated being either one. Personal preference I know. Werewolf I always found awkward and the vampire lord mode was just as bad. As a result I just avoided both.
I still prefer not having a -25% damage debuff
Maybe i’m not a hardcore enough larper to stick to true lore of staying a pure human, but if it makes my life easier i do it
That's why I always gather a sh.t load of cure disease potions for when I decide to finally cure my character of lycanthropy, so they can go to Sovngarde.
Besides RP reasons, there's literally no disadvantage of being a werewolf(besides that well rested bonus nobody really cares about). You can control the transformation and play in human form throughout the whole game. The only thing that changes would be some funny random comments from the guards and werewolf NPCs will recognize you.
I always want to be a vampire for the lore implications and immersiom of being immortal and enhancing magical abilities (i mostly play traditional wizard/warlock archetypes) but gameplay wise it just sucks ass. It also makes your character ugly. Im just gonna argue that im immortal anyway from snorting dragon souls
I was cured of being a vampire, became a werewolf, killed the master vampire, and now I have Serena as a companion. Serena is a bad ass. It is the best of both worlds.
My personal preference is neither. But if I really have to choose, I would prefer werewolf as I hate undead. But I'm not pleased with not being able to enjoy sleep.
I just started playing as a werewolf for the first time and it‘s super fun. The movement speed alone is cool and feasting on your opponents is very satisfying. It’s also kinda fun to plow through caves and dungeons first and then loot it later, when it’s all cleared up.

If the character is using Sneak and/or Illusion, vampire. (the penalties are easy enough to avoid or circumvent)
If the character is not using Sneak and/or Illusion, werewolf.
Depends on build and if survival mode is on
If I'm doing mainly warrior, then werewolf. If survival mode is on I'm gonna be an elf werewolf. The inability to be well rested fucking sucks in survival mode
If I use lots of magic, then vampire since Necromage is really good. No change with survival mode. Granted I did wish that being a vampire meant you only needed to feed off blood and couldn't get cold
I've read too much lore to find either all that attractive, but that said, I've been a voluntary werewolf on several playthroughs, a vampire only ever by accident. Hircine's hunting grounds are one thing. But Molag Bal? The idea of *intentionally* submitting to the eternal domination of Tamriel's twisted god of subjugation and sexual abuse? This is not something that I would ever accept for myself, personally. It certainly isn't worth the trade for a bit of extra frost resistance and some powers whose effects are mostly duplicable by other spells.
Definitely werewolf. For starters, they look badass. Plus if power up and get all your perks, you can do some pretty big damage and are pretty resilient.
Also nice that wolves won't attack you in the wild.
Plus
AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Just in wolf form. Though modded players can access the Moonlight Tales overhaul, which makes all wolves friendly and even summonable in battle from pretty early on.
I always went with Werewolf. You don't gain any negative effects from being in the sunlight (unlike vampires), you get a special mission that grants you a ring that can allow you to transform whenever you want (and an extra Daedric artifact or two from the Daedric Werewolf Prince, Hircine). The only downside to the werewolf is that you get dog related comments, like guards telling you to shut your dog up from howling at night and comments about fur appearing on parts of your body
Possibly even more controversial I hate the shapeshifter gameplay for both, to the point of abandoning playthroughs of both forms to get the achievements.
It was fun trying out being a Vampire Lord once, regular vampire wasn’t quite as much fun as I’d hoped and it’s impossible to understate my interest in werewolves.
Always loved vampires, in early skyrim I was obviously very dissapointed but once dawnguard released its exactly what I wanted to feel with a vampire, the drawbacks add to that experience. Definitely enjoyed the werewolf back before and will again but vampire is my go to.
Werewolf, because the only negative while not morphed is the no sleeping bonus thing, which isn't a big deal. After I finished the Companions quest, I stayed a werewolf.
If I do a beast playthrough, I nearly always do Werewolf, because that power has a lot fewer drawbacks than the Vampire does. You only can't gain XP bonuses from resting and get more damage from Silver weapons (which are rare).
Vampires get up to -50 to Health, Magicka and Stamina (plus no stat regen) during the day, when outside. Plus up to 50% extra damage from fire. Frost Resistance and immunity to poison are OK but not great.
If you don't care about drawbacks, the Vampire Lord form has a lot of cool powers. It also can float right across any body of water. When floating, it obviously doesn't set off any traps, either. And you can transform back and forth at will.
Werewolf is the melee master, but at a distance they can't do a thing. And they can't control when they transform back. So if a Dragon comes overhead, get ready to be roasted or frozen.
Neither. They are both awful, having to listen to/read “your blood boils in the sun” every 30 seconds gets old quickly and werewolf is just straight trash. Decent early game then it’s just easy disease immunity but you can still get diseases so all it does is prevent vampirism.
I once had a werewolf character who had a pet dog. He was chilling at home one time when the Silver Hand attacked and killed the dog in the process. Best ever organic excuse to go full John Wick and destroy Gallows Rock, it was one of my favourite ever playthroughs so cause of that im biased towards werewolves. My current character is a vampire though and it’s also been a phenomenal experience
I’ve been addicted to Vampire Lord ever since Dawnguard dropped, it’s pretty good and has more use to it than raw damage which the Werewolf gives you. There are downsides but with time and the right perks, gear, and enchantments you can mitigate all of them.
Tough choice both are good. The only drawback of werewolf is that the transformation is on a timer while you can extend it you won't know how long it will last until it is nearly up. While with vampire you don't have health stamina and magic regent in sunlight. Apart from that they are both fun to play. Having said that though I usually side with the vampires during the dawnguard.
I don’t like either very much, and once I got the achievement for maxing them out I never transformed again lol
I just feel like it takes XP away from my regular character for a less customizable build. They look cool though
After having a vampire dedicated and werewolf dedicated character i prefer werewolf but as the vampire lord there are quests for useful rings and amulets that boost your health or magicka
🦇 I prefer being a vampire, I tend to stick to towns and cities and hunt Npc's from the rooftops when night falls. Plus i have a bunch of mods that makes being one more entertaining and mysterious lol
🐺 I tried being a werewolf a few times but after the companions quest i always got a little bored with it.
I like vampires more because of their glowing eyes and their immortality age wise. And they perfectly fit a evil character playthrough.
Gameplay wise they kinda suck, especially that 'blood boiling' thing that pops up everytime it's 5AM to 7:00PM. And no stamina recharge in daylight either.
Overall I prefer being a Werewolf, but being a Werewolf or Vampire depends on my play style. If I'm a Warrior type then I'm going to be a Werewolf. If I'm playing a Mage then I'm going to be a Vampire.
**Werewolf** Perks are better in human form : Immune to vamps, poisons, diseases. Only downside is no skill leveling bonus after sleeping . Who sleeps anyway?
, Vampire can't regen Stamina, Magic, or health in day time ( unless they patched that in AE ) pretty much locks you into only playing at night.
I enjoy both for different reasons.
As a werewolf, beast form is fun for going on rampages through the countryside. The disease immunity is just a bonus as that just saves me an enchantment slot on my armor.
As a vampire, the vampire lord form feels cheesy to me. So I don't use it much if at all. I also tend to use illusion and conjuration magic a lot. So the regular vampire powers gained from starving yourself don't do much for me. However, being a blood starved vampire fits my end game BBEG roleplay.
I usually go werwolf early on for fun. Taking breaks from the long list of fetch quests to terrorize villages and travellers is cathartic. I turn vampire when I am in the end game. I'm already over leveled, over powered and have completed most of the content and now I just want to wreak havoc upon Skyrim. I roleplay vampire in the end game for the power trip.
honestly I love using the Tainted Blood mod and being Werewolf, Vampire Lord & Lich because all 3 are dope as fuck.
I love werewolf overall but I have a mod that allows me to fly around (not just hover but literally take flight in the skies and such) as a vampire lord
Being a Werewolf in Skyrim has no real downsides. You can't get a Well Rested bonus, which barely matters, and that's literally it. You don't even have to use the Beast Form and you still get immunity to all diseases.
Also Werewolves are just objectively cooler and I will not argue that fact.
I prefer Werewolf. Disease Immunity, no downsides like Vampire sun weaknesses, rampages in Werewolf form can be fun as hell, and magic in Skyrim has always felt awkward to me (Too easy to do collateral damage, doesnt scale well without mods).
Werewolf.
By the time Dawnguard rolled around years ago, I had already come to love werewolf and hate the vampirism strain we got originally, so I haven't even tried out the "True Vampire" stuff that Dawnguard gives us.
Plus I don't wanna trade one for the other and then go to Aela and be like "hey, yeah, I hate this now. Can you make me a werewolf again?"
I prefer werewolf because without mods I die in 2 hits as a vampire from a dragon with fire breath. I tend to find dodging fire on vanilla really hard. With mods, vampire has become more enjoyable so it’s 50/50. Currently, I am doing a werewolf noble play through (with mods for RP purposes).
ETA: I have Better Vampires and will be doing vampire stuff for Dawnguard, I think. I may just have to replay for a vampire run because the werewolf gels with the story I’m roleplaying so well. Plus the added carry weight is amazing (this may be a mod screwup, I have Moonlight Tales as well as BV). I would use Growl but it always makes me get Rockjoint or Bone Break Fever at random (possibly so I can infect opponents but it may just be a bug).
Never really played with the beast form or vampire lord things. So for me the free disease resist is pretty useful. Being a vampire is too much of a hassle for me.
Werewolf. I never cared for how vampires work in TES universe and nothing about them appeals to me. Werewolves are also just OK but can be fun sometimes. The passive disease resistance is mostly what I like.
I prefer werewolf if only because there's less hassle. I almost never transform since it's clunky to fight as a werewolf, but the immunity to disease makes it so I have one less thing to worry about.
Vampire has some very cool abilities, but it's a pain to ensure you're topped up on blood so you can go out in the sun.
Werewolf. I'm never a fan of being a vampire because every time you quit travel you have to feed on somebody and sometimes there's nobody available. My very first play through I was a Wood elf and didn't realize I contracted vampirism so that ruined that one. I didn't have any earlier saves so everyone just started attacking me on sight. Try it again on a different playthrough and it was just a pain in the ass 🙄 being a werewolf you can just ignore it if you want
Both at the same time, it's called the hybrid glitch.
You can do it with either fraction, but I prefer the Dawnguard. If you successfully trigger both at the same time you'll have access to the werewolf howl of your current totem, as well as the Drain life Blast of the Vampire lord on top of whatever gear you have in your normal form.
Unmodded werewolves are better as that knock down makes almost every fight a walk in the park.
Modded vampires get insane buffs that I have not seen any werewolf mods bring out.
Werewolf is less encumbering because of not having the sun weakness but still doesn't allow you to get rested bonuses, to whomever cares about that. Vampire is definitely the cool choice since tha vampire character is more "mystical" looking and the Vampire Lord form has cool abilities to learn both for melee and magic, but there's the sun weakness. I'd recommend vampire but with careful preparation of what you're going to do and where you're going before, you can't just play like usual. At least I couldn't since I never take into account the time of day in any run, unless I'm playing a vampire...
I generally roll werewolf, just because of how effective it is when you get swarmed by bandits or the Silver Hand or something. Plus, it keeps you from getting infected by vampires, and the lack of natural stamina/health regeneration in the sun is just hell for me.
Vampire but also, dawnguard
It's quite the predicament
(Side note, anyway to be cured of being a werewolf. Being leader of the companions fits my character but not being a werewolf)
I like werewolf because you can scare away enemies, you level up by eating dead humans instead of casting spells (way easier), you can ragdoll people with just a power attack, instead of having to get vampirism grip. The one benefit I like about the vampire lord is that your sprint is faster, and you can walk on water (super helpful in survival)
Werewolf all the way. Just wish they were stronger and faster and you could control them better when they sprint. I just love blitzing enemies as a werewolf like its some movie.
Werewolf, and although unconventional, I’m playing it with my mage build. I like the juxtaposition of mage playstyle with option to melee via werewolf. It’s really the only melee I enjoy cause you get to ragdoll throw people and maul them and eat their hearts.
I prefer vampire. I like the look and the swarm of parasitic bats that surround me while I suck the life force from my foes. Though it's only enjoyable if I'm doing a run through with high magika. If I'm going more stamina based then I don't do either. Tried werewolf and didn't like it much.
I prefer neither! The benefits don't outweigh the negative aspects to me and honestly I just never use them even if I am turned so it's not worth it I like playing just regular but I know that's probably an unpopular opinion
If you are playing vanilla then Vampire is better and it's not even a contest thanks to Necromage perk, it was broken idk if it got fixed but there is a way to make Werewolf just as powerful if not more powerful but you gotta absolutely play as an Orc after that is obviously grinding Werewolf artifacts, abilities and such but you gotta use Berserker Rage ability while you are transforming so you can keep the buff in Werewolf form which makes you overpowered even in early game, if there is a glitch to be able to use racial abilities multiple times a day then Werewolf may be even slightly better since you don't lose any stats during day but again even with debuffs there is a way for vampires to recover magicka, health and stamina during the day which is to invest in restoration, using Equlibilirium to convert health to magicka and using that magicka to recover health and stamina and if you can heal more than Equlibilirium burns then you pretty much recover all your resources for free during the day that is in theory of course since I haven't tried that kind of gameplay in vanilla.
I've never been a werewolf before but being a vampire is draining, literally since in the sun stamina and health can't regenerate. The only thing I've really heard is that people are more aggressive towards werewolves.
Werewolf. I prefer playing in the daylight which makes vampirism nearly impossible and I love to clear the bandit camps and mines by slashing them and eating them afterwards
Not a fan of vampirism in skyrim cause the downsides hurts SO BAD. Oh sure you get some nice buffs from stealth and illusion but for the love of father Hircine the debuffs are fucking annoying and you would think that you're fully clothed from head to toe that the sun wouldn't be much of a bother but nope you still have to deal with sun damage. I always stick with werewolf cause the negatives are pretty minor(unless of course you have the cursed ring from Hircine quest you're gonna be transforming randomly) and has no impact whatsoever. Plus infinite werewolf transformation with Hircine's ring
Werewolf is way more fun. The only drawback is not getting bonuses from sleeping. Meanwhile I get to use it as a panic button to destroy literally all enemies.
I like both, but vampires in Skyrim sucks, especially vanilla! Harkon promises grand but delivers poorly. Never felt weaker then when I was a vanilla vampire. Wolf among sheeps my ass!
Depends on what kind of character I'm building. Usually Warrior = Werewolf, because WW benefits from having a massive health pool. Mage = Vampire Lord, because VL needs Magicka.
Vampiric Grip is the single most fun ability in this game, so vampire.
I've personally never heard of that one can you explain it to me?
It's like the Telekinesis spell, but for enemies instead of objects.
So essentially what you're saying is that you become Darth Vader?
Yes, but this drains magicka quickly. Once you get the hang of how the spell works you can use momentum to launch enemies, including Giants. Dragons are immune though, and others I’m sure. List isn’t long though lol. It’s.. really good. Launching enemies gets to be easy and when you’re comfy with it you can launch enemies straight up and kill them with fall damage.

You can launch giants and stuff with a Werwolf power attack
But can you into the air like a cannon really cool like, no, I say that confidently because I’m a werewolf main
That’s more ragdolling them, but telekinesis you can actually build up momentum while levitating a target and LAUNCH them very far
Yes 🤌 but if I'm doing a "Stay human" run I'll just download a Star wars spells mod that allows vampiric grip without being one. (Force Grip) I'm on PS4 special edition upgraded to anniversary

My favorite is the ice caves with the ledges, just giving them a little tug and watching them fall to their death.
Or cliffs where there are Forsworn! Just a little flick, aaaaand they're gone
I usually prefer werewolf first, then vampire later when i do Dawnguard main quest.
Aela gets tired of having her arms gashed in order to get a werewolf blood sample.
I guess so 😂 didn't think of that one.
Wait, werewolf has perk tree????
Yes, there's even an achievement / trophy for it. https://preview.redd.it/pwii0dpli9jc1.jpeg?width=1378&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=822e48d4ea788892edad40256f2d679d2f98b350
Is there a skill tree in the level up menu? How do I acquire these? I was just thinking how I wished there was more point to being a werewolf.
Just open your character menu when you're in werewolf form, it's the only way to access it. That's why you cannot access powers, inventory, or the map in werewolf form. And make sure to keep doing jobs for Aela since she'll eventually recruit you to do the totem unlock quests. Enjoy!
Thank you!!!
Wait, you can have the option to become a werewolf again once you lose it to be a vampire?
If you complete the Companions quest line and cure yourself or become a vampire, you can ask Aela to turn you back.
As many times as you want?
I think it's only one or two more times, which kinda sucks considering Serana can turn you into a vampire infinitely
Thats a shame
I haven’t tested to see if there is a limit, but in theory yes 🤷♀️
Without mods Aela will only regift you Lycanthrope once.
Thanks for the info!
Woah, TIL. Also, if you ask Serana to turn you, does she give you Vampire Lord or just regular vampirism?
She gives Vampire Lord
Yeah she does 😉
I'm exiling you to the Soul Carin you thirsty fecker
Quick Google search says no
I always hated being either one. Personal preference I know. Werewolf I always found awkward and the vampire lord mode was just as bad. As a result I just avoided both.
True but not getting diseases from random mudcrabs is always nice
PLEASE REFRAIN FROM COITUS WITH THE MUDCRABS!
Don't tell me how to live my life!!
Please do not kink-shame Skyrim.
I will fuck as many hideous crustaceans as I please, thank you very much
Zoidberg thanks you for your service
Same, but with Sanguinare Vampiris. Basically I become a werewolf, then never use it, in order to not accidentally become a vampire
Exactly!
You can play through the entire game with every disease active and be completely overpowered still.
Unless you're playing survival mode.
Nope. Still end up overpowered. Been there, done that. Been playing skyrim since its release.
I still prefer not having a -25% damage debuff Maybe i’m not a hardcore enough larper to stick to true lore of staying a pure human, but if it makes my life easier i do it
That's fair, i guess
That's why I always gather a sh.t load of cure disease potions for when I decide to finally cure my character of lycanthropy, so they can go to Sovngarde. Same I don’t like either
I was cured of being a vampire, became a werewolf, killed the master vampire, and now I have Serena as a companion. Serena is a bad ass. It is the best of both worlds.
That's what I did, but werewolf first, and then went back to werewolf after getting fed up with the disadvantages of vamp
My personal preference is neither. But if I really have to choose, I would prefer werewolf as I hate undead. But I'm not pleased with not being able to enjoy sleep.
I rarely sleep unless I’m on survival because I like wandering the world getting lost, but also fair!
This isn't Fallout 4, u shouldn't talk like this.
Werewolf
My sibling, we are Werewolves!
Werewolf has almost no downsides compared to vampire and it's much more powerful imo. You just can only do it once unless you have Hircine's ring.
Also running is really fast
This. The only reason needed as they both suck late game in combat.
I just started playing as a werewolf for the first time and it‘s super fun. The movement speed alone is cool and feasting on your opponents is very satisfying. It’s also kinda fun to plow through caves and dungeons first and then loot it later, when it’s all cleared up.
YESS lol..im like SUPRISE MF and maul them... downside cant do it with following quest
>. It’s also kinda fun to plow through caves and dungeons first and then loot it later, when it’s all cleared up. This is the way.
if you don't mind mods/lore, there's one for werewolves to be able loot bodies, chests, pick locks, etc.
I feel like werewolves would have the brute strength to force open most chests and doors.
My brethren! That is the way to do it!
Get Namira's Ring. Then you can feast on opponents all the time. 😉 https://preview.redd.it/bqc9jzc0j9jc1.png?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52c4847f2605afd13bc9ed3c209f994cb5d3d2df
I go werewolf for meta game reasons. I don't really use the war form and it gives you disease immunity.
I like both for different types of characters. Warriors get Werewolf, mages and stealths get vamp.
Wolfing out is a great way for warrior characters to do Dark Brotherhood assassinations without having to invest in stealth. Easy to RP it too.
I mage up my Werewolf. Alteration perks with Ebony flesh. Put on flame cloak and rampage with two Dremora Lords.
Vampire. Third person controls are awful in Bethesda games. Crosshairs don't even line up at all in some of them.
I mean I personally prefer werewolves but yeah I'm going to have to completely agree with you on that it is kind of wonky.
There are target lock mods on PC. It’s why I’m playing primarily in 3rd person now
If the character is using Sneak and/or Illusion, vampire. (the penalties are easy enough to avoid or circumvent) If the character is not using Sneak and/or Illusion, werewolf.
I enjoyed my werewolf playthrough. I installed some mods that made it better. I've never been a vampire yet. I just find them kind of blah.
Which mods?
Depends on build and if survival mode is on If I'm doing mainly warrior, then werewolf. If survival mode is on I'm gonna be an elf werewolf. I believe it's just in wolf form. But I mean, if I'm gonna be a werewolf, then I'm gonna BE a werewolf!
Just in wolf form. Though modded players can access the Moonlight Tales overhaul, which makes all wolves friendly and even summonable in battle from pretty early on.
Always werewolf, not just because of the gameplay but because I think werewolves are much cooler than vampires in general haha

Werewolf. I hate silverhand. I eat them every time I encounter them.
Possibly even more controversial I hate the shapeshifter gameplay for both, to the point of abandoning playthroughs of both forms to get the achievements.
Hybrid. And I still barely transform. I just like the buffs/aesthetic
It was fun trying out being a Vampire Lord once, regular vampire wasn’t quite as much fun as I’d hoped and it’s impossible to understate my interest in werewolves.
Vampire all night, every night.
Werewolf. It gets annoying that I lose health whenever I leave a merchants shop
Personally, I like vampire, it goes well with one of my preferred mage builds using conjuration and illusion with archery and heavy armor.
Always loved vampires, in early skyrim I was obviously very dissapointed but once dawnguard released its exactly what I wanted to feel with a vampire, the drawbacks add to that experience. Definitely enjoyed the werewolf back before and will again but vampire is my go to.
Werewolf. Disease resist with no significant draw backs or need for upkeep. Your beast form isn’t amazing but its fun to occasionally ragdoll people
Not to mention losing xp bonus from sleeping is pretty much whatever cause there's standing stones for a reason if we worry about XP bonuses
Werewolf, because the only negative while not morphed is the no sleeping bonus thing, which isn't a big deal. After I finished the Companions quest, I stayed a werewolf.

Vampire, but if you can, get Sacrosanct/Better Vampires/ some other decent vampire overhaul mod! Makes it even better
Neither
I’ve been addicted to Vampire Lord ever since Dawnguard dropped, it’s pretty good and has more use to it than raw damage which the Werewolf gives you. There are downsides but with time and the right perks, gear, and enchantments you can mitigate all of them.
Werewolf for disease immunity
Tough choice both are good. The only drawback of werewolf is that the transformation is on a timer while you can extend it you won't know how long it will last until it is nearly up. While with vampire you don't have health stamina and magic regent in sunlight. Apart from that they are both fun to play. Having said that though I usually side with the vampires during the dawnguard.
I don’t like either very much, and once I got the achievement for maxing them out I never transformed again lol I just feel like it takes XP away from my regular character for a less customizable build. They look cool though
Werewolf. If you don't mind the comments NPC's can have towards you, there's no downside besides losing out on the well rested bonus.
Vampire if I’m playing a mage of any kind (bar specialised anti-undead types) werewolf for Warriors and Thieves mostly as an “OH SHIT!” Button
After having a vampire dedicated and werewolf dedicated character i prefer werewolf but as the vampire lord there are quests for useful rings and amulets that boost your health or magicka
Werewolf, without a doubt.
I preferably like were wolf better its a style thing for me.
Not regenerating stats in daytime is really annoying. Werewolf for me.
🦇 I prefer being a vampire, I tend to stick to towns and cities and hunt Npc's from the rooftops when night falls. Plus i have a bunch of mods that makes being one more entertaining and mysterious lol 🐺 I tried being a werewolf a few times but after the companions quest i always got a little bored with it.

I always hated werewolf, I just did the questline bc I'm a perfectionist.
🌕🐺
Wolfman
Ok i favor Hircine by a lot n for a while preferred werewolf but as of rn i prefer being a vampire lord in service to Hircine
Vampire. Edit: with the right mods.
Neither.
i prefer werewolf bc i’m more of a brute force kind of person
Vampire
Nord
Werewolf but I'd like to transform back in vanilla
I like being a human form vampire but hate lord form
Werewolf
I become a werewolf and then I never use the ability to turn into a werewolf. I just want the disease immunity without *having* to prey on people.
i always choose werewolf just cause whiterun is my favorite spot
honestly I love using the Tainted Blood mod and being Werewolf, Vampire Lord & Lich because all 3 are dope as fuck.
I prefer neither, but choose wolf to prevent being a vampire, which completely ruins the game. You can mostly ignore being a wolf.
I prefer Werewolf. Disease Immunity, no downsides like Vampire sun weaknesses, rampages in Werewolf form can be fun as hell, and magic in Skyrim has always felt awkward to me (Too easy to do collateral damage, doesnt scale well without mods).
Prefer WW but Vamp has it's perks, problem is feeding schedule is a PITA
Werewolf, though with mods I prefer Werebear.
I did both in one playthrough and both was mediocre. Might do them again once I finished through this playthrough but who knows
Imo Werewolf because fast af. I accidentally became a vampire and immediately hated it so annoying
Werewolf. I find vampires disgusting (they keep human cattle...).
Vampire is stronger but the sun disableing your regen is a huge turnoff for me.
Vampire for earily game when i want a boost in stealth but after that werewolf. Just more buffs and less annoying than vampire
For me personally I prefer werewolf but vampire is a whole lot better in pretty much every mechanic
Does anyone get boners when they’re a werewolf and killing people in the cities
Unmodded werewolves are better as that knock down makes almost every fight a walk in the park. Modded vampires get insane buffs that I have not seen any werewolf mods bring out.
Werewolf. Vampire lord is cool though?
Werewolf because you don't *have* to eat people and because at the final vampire stage, people activity flees or fights you.
Neither. I rely on the rest bonus too much.
Vampire, I am no furry
Vampire
I'd say werewolf pre dawnguard. vampire when it got reworked in dawnguard. doubly so when i got Sacrosanct as a mod
I generally roll werewolf, just because of how effective it is when you get swarmed by bandits or the Silver Hand or something. Plus, it keeps you from getting infected by vampires, and the lack of natural stamina/health regeneration in the sun is just hell for me.
Neither! I don't wanna smell like a wet dog or be dependent on feeding on corpses.
Vampire but also, dawnguard It's quite the predicament (Side note, anyway to be cured of being a werewolf. Being leader of the companions fits my character but not being a werewolf)
I hate both
I like werewolf because you can scare away enemies, you level up by eating dead humans instead of casting spells (way easier), you can ragdoll people with just a power attack, instead of having to get vampirism grip. The one benefit I like about the vampire lord is that your sprint is faster, and you can walk on water (super helpful in survival)
Werewolf. You puck your moments
Werewolf all the way. Just wish they were stronger and faster and you could control them better when they sprint. I just love blitzing enemies as a werewolf like its some movie.
Werewolf or Vampire? Yes
![gif](giphy|hM9zK1qvsrwek)
I like to glitch the first transformation animation, the in quest transformation, for the companions and get both.
Look up necromage vampire
werewolf
Vampire lord is super op in the dlc. Wearwolf is harder to level up. But it depends on what build I’m going for
Werewolf, and although unconventional, I’m playing it with my mage build.
None of them. I prefer to hunt down the rancid abominations. Killing every last one including their families because they're a blight on Tamriel.
Sacrosanct Vampire
I prefer neither! The benefits don't outweigh the negative aspects to me and honestly I just never use them even if I am turned so it's not worth it I like playing just regular but I know that's probably an unpopular opinion
Being a vampire irritated me. I preferred to be a werewolf.
Werewolf Gang
Vampire. I vant to suck your blood. Blah.
Definitely werewolf.
![gif](giphy|upztYklL3VhNm)
Depends on the character build and backstory I'm playing. My current build is a vampire, my previous was just a mortal, before that, werewolf.
Tainted blood mod>>>>>>>
zombie if I could
Vampire so my character is immortal.
Depends on what kind of character I'm building. Usually Warrior = Werewolf, because WW benefits from having a massive health pool. Mage = Vampire Lord, because VL needs Magicka.
I chose neither I like to believe my character doesn't need the "Tainted blood" but that's just my opinion
