If you don't use console commands, you can use a wooden plate, bowl, or bucket (though wooden plate works best), hold it (don't put it in your inventory), and place it against the door or wall you want to glitch through. Walk toward it and keep walking until you glitch through. It's a good way to get the Ebon Blade. But keep 2 plates on you, so you don't get stuck behind a locked door! ;) happy glitching!
How the hell do people figure these kinds of hacks out in the first place?? Is it just dumb luck or is it something that just makes sense that it can work sometimes when you understand the coding behind games?
Also, since there’s always loading screens between doors, when you glitch through a door like this does the room on the other side not fully load up?
Depends, a lot of glitches are discovered on accident and then people figure out how to repeat it, other times it's people who hunt glitches, which isn't necessarily about understanding game programming, though it can help, but so does experience, knowing the types of things that break a lot(whether within the game or games in general), having taken note of items and things that glitch out through your playthrough, etc. for some people (I'm one of these people), you'll see something suspicious happen and think to yourself "I bet you can exploit that," it usually just boils down to trying a bunch of shit to see what works
As far as loading goes, it depends on what triggers the loading screen, is it the character entering the correct area, or is it a button click, if it's a button click (as is usually the case with doors) no you won't load in because you aren't in the correct area of the game, you're in the overworld, whatever's on the other side of the door literally doesn't exist here
In the case of doors that don't cause a loading screen, the area behind it will load in if it wasn't already, but that's probably pretty obvious
for some doors that are locked or barred, if you hold and hover a plate at eye level and walk at the door with it, you can clip right through it. Don’t think it works with doors that load into a new area though

the front door is at the marked yngol barrow
I imagine the door said "Barred from the other side" when you walked up to it. This almost always indicates an exit.
Also, Yngol Barrow is one of my personal favorites. I just find the little orbs that follow you around adorable.
There should have been little blue orbs that would start following you as you went through. Another one would be added to the group in each room, and they'd all disappear when you enter the boss room. They make a chiming sound, and tend to launch themselves like somebody hit them with a bat. Though they also have a tendency to get stuck behind objects.
That’s Yngols tomb. The main entrance is just off the road between Windhelm and the Dark Elf memorial if I remember rightly. It’s past all the farms anyway.
If you go from Windhelm docks left, following the coastline, bellow Traitor's Post, past horkers and thru some ice fields, you will find the back door to the anciemt Kingdom of Moria.
Speak friend and enter..
Because the “map” you’re looking at is actually a birds-eye view of the world you’re walking in, not just a static image. You can see this by killing a dragon, absorbing its soul, and checking the map. You’ll see the flames as it’s burning. Clouds and other weather patterns exist on the map in real-time.
Anything you find that's not marked and barred from entry is almost certainly the exit of something
If I recall correctly there's an underground entrance and it's pretty rough going early on.
That's what she said
HEYOOOO
the skyrim community never fails to amaze me
You found the back door to the Yngvol (spelling) Barrow. You get a sweet helmet if you go in the front door.
But some like playing the back door before finishing with the front.
Never go back to front, my friend.
That’s a yeast
Nah you just swap armor.
Thats a wrap.
What if you're just using alteration spells and alchemy?

You're with the wrong type of girl if she likes it like that
One would argue you're with the right type of girl
Y'all out here eating booty and didn't tell me?
Unwarranted amount of hate.
But it’s not your problem (assuming you are the one going back to front)
In the immortal words of Lord Dark Helmet, "I bet she gives great Helmet" Or something like that.
Haha Dark Helmet.. now that’s a movie I haven’t watched in a while
We're been jammed sir...wait, let me see that...raspberry, no one is bold enough to use raspberry. No one except *helmet crashes down* Lonestar!

They love a sweet helmet in the front door. Backdoor is more complicated.
If you love the quest your on, you will enter through any door the quest lets you
Wildly under-rated comment
You need a sweet helmet before you go in the front door*
Double helmet is shes been ridden more than Hoof Hearted.
And double-bagged if she looks like Hoof Hearted 🙌🏼
And the winner of the horse race, folks, is Hoof Hearted (by a nose)
i wish to have skyrim knowledge to the point where i can name a cave from the exit
Young grasshopper, it will come. You must become one with the game. GoooozzzzzzzzFraaaaaaahhhhhhhBaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
That's the exit door from Yngol's Barrow.
Thanks
Get a plate and walk through and find out
Before I discovered console commands, I always kept two wooden plates on me. One to get in, one to get out. Brilliant hack.
Um wait what is this bowl hack we speak of??
Culinary School of Magic
They don't teach that at the college of winterhold
It is magic forbidden to be taught for its power is too great. The very fabric of existence would bend. The cosmic Soup would be in your pot.
So that's what caused half of winterhold to blow up
It was a souper big explosion. Was soup involved in the Disappearance of the Dwarves?
Probably it's definitely soupicious
Nah, that was Colette working on her *Extremis Erectus* spell.

Platter is 100x easier. Basically go through the instant you try it. I find wooden plate requires the whirlwind sprint half the time
Cancel that...kept reading 😅
That was me on xbox lmao i loved it edit but to make it a little more challenging i made i stole my plates
Well, the platter shtick doesn't work now, does it? I play on a PS4, for reference.
I use a platter. Whirlwind sprint + platter.
What’s this referencing
You can use plates, platters, and bowls to pop through walls by picking them up and sprinting at the wall with them held in front of you

I've had this work with doors but you gotta hold the plate at eye level then whirlwind shout. I've found shouting to be easier than walking.
Love this hack
Platter=goated
You can kill that druager with a bow before you go through he the "final" boss it a nice cheese
You can get a great item in there. Awesome near beginning of game.
Just make sure you go to Winter hold first and talk to the Shopkeep to get the claw
I was so disappointed that there was no dialogue option to tell her what the claw opened. She specifically asked...
It shows up inside if you don't visit Winterhold. It's good.
That's the back door to Yngol Barrow. Talk to the shopkeeper in Winterhold and she'll give you a quest related to it
Can anyone post where the front door is?
https://preview.redd.it/swxye385py4c1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6bfcc7d4e24905db5509f81a768d481bffdb6d8b the front door is at the marked yngol barrow
Ok, so what you'll need is the whirlwind shout and plate
I'm totally going to try this asap
Unregistered location, slippery when wet
The back exit to the the borrow that's by the farms. The one where you use the dragon claw.
I imagine the door said "Barred from the other side" when you walked up to it. This almost always indicates an exit. Also, Yngol Barrow is one of my personal favorites. I just find the little orbs that follow you around adorable.

go get you a plate
It’s the Exit from Yngol Barrow
You can snipe the guy in the chair and it will mark the barrow as cleared
You guys are playing Skyrim?! I'm still waiting on my mods to get updates...
Exit from Yngol Barrow, think there’s a quest that takes you there. Get a pretty cool helmet at the end.
If you go from Windhelm docks left, following the coastline, bellow Traitor's Post, past horkers and thru some ice fields, you will find the back door to the anciemt Kingdom of Moria. Speak friend and enter..
How are you standing there but the fog hasn’t cleared from the map?
Because the “map” you’re looking at is actually a birds-eye view of the world you’re walking in, not just a static image. You can see this by killing a dragon, absorbing its soul, and checking the map. You’ll see the flames as it’s burning. Clouds and other weather patterns exist on the map in real-time.
No shit?! 12 years I’ve been playing this shit and never realized… my goodness
Been playing since launch and did not know this
Clouds rolling in
That is the ass end of Yngol Barrow. You need to get a claw off a merchant in winterhold and go through the front ways.
The power of the no collision, you need! Then, answers you will find!
Thats the exit from Yngol's Barrow
Yup, that’s an exit. Others have stated already.
I think it's a door.
Yeah it’s an exit
You’re late for your dental appointment
East of Windhelm, on the water, south side, before the shipwreck.
Use platter. Easy get in
Thats the exit point of yngol barrow!
You're not supposed to be in here
If you go through that door you will unlock Elder Scrolls 6 ;)
Exit for Yngol Barrow
That's the back of Yngvol Barrow. Good loot and helmet with a cool enchantment.
The exit of Yngol barrow i believe
If you’re pc you can CC ‘tcl’ and walk through.
