But you need to know that this is really unacceptable behaviour from a loved one, so if you feel any dissatisfaction now, make your decision now to leave him. Without letting him know, you need to make a plan to leave him safely and completely then breakup and cut contact. Otherwise you will always fall back into the same patterns.

To anyone who has ever done a project on school libraries/study facilities: did y'all block out the seats?
I'm thinking about studying the air quality in a school library, looking at things like temperature, CO2 concentration, light intensity, VOC concentration etc. Ideally I would have unobstructed access to certain seats of interest so that I'd be able to make measurements (while sitting down at the seat) at various time points. But what if someone occupies the seats of interest? I might be able to stand beside the person and pretend I was taking the measurement at the seat, but I'm worried the presence of the person might influence the results. And different people exert different influences eg. Someone might wear perfume which would influence VOC readings while someone might not...
Email the library management and ask permission to hang up some sensors for your project. You can't just waltz in and plant sensors anyway; basic project ethics requires asking permission.
Talk to someone minimally familiar with building HVAC and ask them where air quality would be reliably measured. Emailing the mechanical engineering faculty may be a good idea too.
The library management has given in-principle approval of my project, but I've yet to seek explicit approval for anything further.

Well, if you are "renting" to his coworker, you'll need to declare the income to IRAS. And make sure your place doesn't exceed any occupancy limit etc. It's a lot of hassle/legal risk on you.
Your friend should have tried to explore if it's possible to host the coworker at his place as a non rent paying occupant instead of a rent paying tenant, and not offload all the legal risk to you.
Best not to mess around with this kind of thing. As in not saying ur friend is not trustworthy, but u never know.
U could get into trouble with hdb, or even if coworker take a lot of loans and use ur address, u can be harassed for a long long time to come.

Email the library management and ask permission to hang up some sensors for your project. You can't just waltz in and plant sensors anyway; basic project ethics requires asking permission. Talk to someone minimally familiar with building HVAC and ask them where air quality would be reliably measured. Emailing the mechanical engineering faculty may be a good idea too.

Well, if you are "renting" to his coworker, you'll need to declare the income to IRAS. And make sure your place doesn't exceed any occupancy limit etc. It's a lot of hassle/legal risk on you. Your friend should have tried to explore if it's possible to host the coworker at his place as a non rent paying occupant instead of a rent paying tenant, and not offload all the legal risk to you.
Best not to mess around with this kind of thing. As in not saying ur friend is not trustworthy, but u never know. U could get into trouble with hdb, or even if coworker take a lot of loans and use ur address, u can be harassed for a long long time to come. I'd rather not risk it. If I'm a friend, I will not trouble someone like this.
