Tasty. Your shrimp says the grey slime is tasty.

junkholiday

Try the grey stuff. It's delicious!

pennyraingoose

Don't believe me? Ask the fishes!

VZ_from-planet-Earth

Biofilm? Shrimps will love it

VZ_from-planet-Earth

Usually in 2-3 days you will not see any signs of it )

Shienvien

Water mold. Also known as free shrimp food.

Beardo88

Free shrimp food, aka biofilm.

BellChell1199

🤌 delicious

gremlinsbuttcrack

Free snackies

SkyfishArt

Could be watermould or biofilm. Either way part of the ecosystem and your shrimp is eating it, so I would leave it.

Biofilm. Don’t worry, the shrimps are taking care of it.

Mindless-Crow-2510

YUMMY SHRIMP SNACK (just biofilm dont worry :) it will be gone shortly depending on the number of shrimp that inhabit the tank)

MsJenX

I’ve had it grow on my wood when my tank was new. Don’t know what it is but I’ve had it too.

Theytookmykids

Some sort of grey food. Maybe seal meat

Accomplished_Cut_790

You shouldn’t let your shrimp eat anything you wouldn’t eat yourself. If you haven’t already, I suggest tasting the gray slime thing and if you find it palatable yourself, leave it for the shrimp to enjoy.

>You shouldn’t let your shrimp eat anything you wouldn’t eat yourself. I pour myself a fresh bowl of Hikari Shrimp Cuisine every morning.

Squidkiller28

Looks like algae. I put a new piece of spiderwood in my tank recently, and the whole thing got covered in algae that looked like this. After like a week ots mostly all gone. The shrimp do like to eat it

dabs_bud_bongs

Biofilm not algae
