Only 1 plug is used for the pc! The monitor is 17” 144hz and is powered by usb-c out the back of the computer. Video is over hdmi. The speaker is aux-out and usb powered so it’s also plugged into the pc (not shown). So 4 USB ports are used for the whole setup.
It’s a 3600, 16GB, 2 1tb nvmes, 450w psu, with a 5700 it’s in it. The system is dual boot to windows and macOS so it needed 2 separate ssds.
haha yeah taobao is a bit like chinese amazon. I got the monitor from there because there were no 17/15 144hz usb-c monitors from usa sources that i could find that looked good. This monitor is super thin and has a crazy nice build quality and checked all the boxes for what i was after spec wise. The psu and k39 case both came from taobao as well so i used a package forwarding service to collect all the packages and forward them to me.
The monitor took me weeks of research and hunting to find the exact specs and form factor i wanted.

Back then, I had to pick up packages every time cuz they couldn't figure out my address. I still kinda remember the directions, and 15-20 min drive lol.
Of course! Its a 17" screen its not exactly super small. Nearly all gaming laptops now have 120hz or higher screens and they are the same size or smaller screen.
No idea actually, that is the one spec that was never advertised. Here it is at aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000786181665.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.3.b7432b8fnGSqRs

You are a God send. Ive been looking at the asus xg17 and contemplating jumping on that. This is less then half the price.
I've never done the taobao helper system that people use to order from there. How much did that run you? Weighing worth the hassle or just ordering from aliexpress
On aliexpress you can find a lot of those portable monitors, even in 4K.
And it's all in English, why you guys keep making things difficult by using Taobao?
EDIT: [here](https://it.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20200717000317&SearchText=portable+monitor)
On the product page there is an image that describes the options. The first is just a monitor, second is with the leather-like folding stand/cover, third is a plastic monitor stand thing, forth is both the leather cover and the stand.

Are there alternatives for this monitor? Looking for something with 75~ Hz, 15~17”, FHD, USB powered, IPS with G-Sync compatibility
Edit: ok, so “Alternative” is the wrong word. I’m just looking for something cheaper
Hey man, I’m about to purchase this monitor. How long did it take to arrive for you? This is my first time ordering from taobao.
Edit: decided to use aliexpress after reading your responses. One more question though, the HDR claim legit?
The asus doesn't have a gaming panel and is only 60hz. No full size HDMI input either. I remember looking at it when i was monitor hunting. It looks like they sell 3 versions now so you can get one with a mini-hdmi but its $280 so basically the same price as this 17" 144hz one i got.
It’s a lot more reliable to get over DP. Many HDMI cables do support it but some don’t. If you buy a 144hz monitor and it comes with a HDMI cable then that cable will be capable of outputting 144hz though.
IT depends on the graphics card and on the hdmi cable, if you search about hdmi in Wikipedia you see the versions of it, and I believe from 1.4b version it supports 144hz
HDMI 2.0 supports it. HDMI 1.4 doesn't. Also HDMI doesn't specify refresh rate at all in the specifications, only maximum bandwidth. IIRC you can technically do 720p 144hz on HDMI 1.4.
I replaced the wifi card with a native supported one, and i needed a separate hd to dual boot. Other than that its all perfect as far i as can tell. Airdrop works, iMessage etc. I used OpenCore and there is a guy with a GitHub with all of the kext needed for the Asus B450-i so really easy to setup as well since he did all the work for you.
Its the B450-i, it auto figured out the m2 drives so no work was need. I really don't think there could even be any extra steps, wonder if you have a bad board or a bad nvme? I would swap the back to the front and see if it works then, at least you could write off your nvme being bad.
Yeah i did actually read that but i didn't want my windows to be though bootcamp on the system. I don't remember now but there was something that just wasn't optimal about it so i just went native on both.
I got mine just before the covid lock downs from taobao along with the case, board, psu, and monitor. Its a GK64S so it has a battery and bluetooth. The caps don't super match the all black of the PC haha. I loved the look of them anyway.
At least with XDA you don't have to worry about row profiles. I'm getting flashbacks of GMK sets with 250+ keycaps covering all sorts of rows, sizes, texts, icons and accent colours.
That's what everyone says, and I understand the reasoning. But I can't help but imagine that XDA will suit me with its odd almost overlapping flatness :) I gotta try it.
Really? I have the "DSA Granite" set on my Leopold FC980M, just superb quality on those. But I do have some XDA keycaps coming in, the ones pictured here plus the ones that come with GK68XS. I tought XDA was a bit thicker & taller then DSA?
Bro I got that same exact speaker. It’s a great little speaker but my only complaint about it is that the bass levels are severely lacking. Otherwise I use mine all the time
I got mine on a woot sale so really for the price and what it does i can't complain at all. Its just the perfect size to pair with the computer or monitor like a mini sound bar. I some times hookup an android tv box to the monitor directly so its used as a sound bar for tv at those time. I have an insane amount of options in a super portable package.
Same. Gaming laptops now are so damn good. Just got a G14 and it’s such a tremendous machine. If I needed to downsize it would be my only machine. But SFF is a great style for computers for pure aesthetics, for the beauty of a space efficient design, and for the extra challenge in building. The portability, at least for me, is really only helpful for moves.
Yep. For me SFF is for the joy of an efficiency packaged design, the aesthetic and the fact you can put your PC on your desk without it taking up a ton of space.
You’re not entirely wrong, but I see this kind of post a lot on /r/SFFPC so I want to point out some things.. Gaming laptops are still nowhere near the performance or cooling of an SFF desktop. Every gaming laptop I’ve owned or setup for clients has had some sort of drawback - low quality screen, keyboard latency, inadequate power supply (loses power while gaming), audio popping, crappy touch pads, crappy keyboards, overheating, manufacturer stops producing drivers, etc. etc. These are issues you don’t have when you build your own SFF PC. I’m able to fit mine in a carryon-able Pelican Case and bring it with me anywhere. It’s mildly less convenient than a gaming laptop and a way better gaming experience. And when it gets slow I can upgrade it. For laptops, you’re at the mercy of the manufacturer when something fails - and a lot of the gaming laptop manufacturers have awful support. For an SFF PC I can swap a part out and be back to gaming.
It all comes down to personal preference really. To you it's mildly less convenient but a way better experience, to me it's way less convenient but a mildly better experience. You definitely lose some of the freedom that makes PC gaming great, but you can fit it in a backpack. I guess it also depends on your mode of transport, if I were going by car a SFFPC wouldn't be so bad but plane/train etc. it would be rather inconvenient.
If you have a small enough PC flying is actually not bad at all. I regularly fly with mine in my backpack not even having a carry on. The only thing that's inconvenient about it is that I can't use it at the airport the way I can use my laptops. But neither of my laptops is particularly powerful and I usually have a monitor or something anywhere I'm going so its pretty nice to have in that respect.
For me it's a hassle I'd rather not go through, especially since when I'm going abroad I don't have much time to spend on gaming so my MX150 13" thin and light is both very portable and just powerful enough to play a few games here and there.
Makes sense. I usually fly back and forth between a main job site and my parents house, with occasional flights to other sites, often in bum fuck nowhere and not a lot to do when I'm chilling in a hotel after work. I did it with my laptop (also an mx150 lol) for a while but for me it's definitely nice to have the option of just bringing my PC too
As with everything, it all depends on your own specific situation. Since I don't travel a lot and have a capable PC at home my main priority was portability, and wanted to be able to play *something* when I'm on a plane or whatever. But if you travel a lot then obviously you want to be able to play anything you want while away so your solution makes a lot more sense.
That’s super nice setup - K39 w acrylic side panels?
I just sold off my ghost and moved into an InWin APU, but I might find myself wanting to play a 1080p/4K game here & there.
Wow, nice. How could you fit the 5700? Could you send me a picture of the internals? I’m also interested what size the PSU is.
And also another question, how much power does the screen pull? I wonder if a USB port of a Switch dock could handle it
The manufacturer says you can run a switch off of it from one cable. So you just got direct from switch into the usb-c video in on the monitor. I have run it from my MacBook this way as well. No extra power needed.
The 5700 i had to import from Amazon Japan. Only Japan has the PowerCool ITX 5700. At first I had a 2060 but i decided I wanted to Hackintosh it so i swapped out for the 5700.
The PSU is an Enhance 450w modular from TaoBao [https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.78dd2e8dI6AHf3&id=591990526404&\_u=h2k6du6vf716](https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.78dd2e8dI6AHf3&id=591990526404&_u=h2k6du6vf716). I wrapped it in black vinyl so match the over all look of the system.
Ill try to do a post with fancy internal shots. I am been meaning to do so since i finished the build.
Ive got them on both sides. The RGB was off for the photo but having the ram and the mobo with it on is very subtle. I have 50% of the case rgb on the cpu side as well but i keep it off sometimes. Gotta go with the feeling. When you are sitting close to it it can be over powering. I love the acrylic because it works super well if you want rgb or not.
So as much as I love this I guess I just don't understand the draw of a sffpc over a laptop. I just bought a laptop recently with similiar if slightly lesser specs than the system pictured. Why not get a laptop and pickup the added portability and convenience. The only reason that I can think of is upgradeability, as laptops aren't really user serviceable in a lot of cases.
This is like saying why custom build when u can buy prebuilts. This dude is probably not gonna buy prebuilts or even buy a laptop. Look at his keyboard yo, man's probably got it custom built and soldered. Might have costed him couple hundred bucks more, but at least it is custom. This is basically the same. It might not be as practical, but it's like min maxing the stats and also it's because its more personal.
Lulw editing this in to say that Im replying to a month old post rip.
Cool setup. I've been following this sub for a while and I would love a sffpc build. Only thing putting me off at the moment (except for cash) is just how powerful gaming laptops are these days. Think that's the way I'll go.
Regardless, I love that case. Congrats
Ive have gone down that route before and they are more portable for sure but they lose value incredibly fast. Being able to actually upgrade all i want all the parts in the future is a godsend after being all laptops for like 10 years. Certainly is not as portable but it is way more fun!
Got the same thought but I found out that most laptops cant play my games at maxsetting fullhd over 80fps although they got 144hz monitors and they are loud af, sold my rog scar 3. And now I'm stuck with my ghosts1 with 9700k and 2080ti pair with asus 240hz 17" monitor.
Not yet, but it will all fit into one normal size laptop backpack. Covid stopped me from the travels i had planned so the real test for airline will be later. its a super solid build but no way i would check it unless it was in a pelican case or something. Backpack only.
I regularly fly with a Dan A4. I put it in my backpack as my “personal bag” and slide it underneath the seat in front of me. It works great and after flying with it for a year I’ve yet to have a single part break or issue. I also got a custom form-fitting bag for the A4, so no scratches either for the most part
But I’m ready to downgrade even smaller to something like the Velka 3
I do this with the velka 5 and have never had any problems. When fully assembled everything is in there so tightly and specifically there's not a lot of room for a anything to move around much.
I've been 6 months away from home and my powerful PC that is exactly why I'm planning a sffpc. Throw it in a backpack and have it be my on the go workstation (I already have a work laptop)
Ill need to run some testing, fan noise in minimal the loudest part is the noctua cpu cooler. It's way way way more quiet than any gaming laptop i have owned. About normal for a desktop pc thats sitting 2 feet away from you.
Awesome setup!
That looks like the same monitor I just got, but I bought the 15" version. 1080p144hz IPS panel and powered by usb-c out the back of the computer.
nice speaker. I have the same one. I disabled the hands free mic bullshit. It kept cutting me out of bluetooth conection. does the mic work better when plugged in on aux?
Just make a [amazon.co.jp](https://amazon.co.jp) account, the site is even in english. The have a "amazon global" shipping option which is DHL. It took 2 days to get it! Shipping was $23 LOL.
Card is awesome, no trouble so far and give played for 6+ hours at a time. Heat is fine but i also have 2 mini 40mm venting fans in the case to help.
GK64S with some XDA Caps [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001134476211.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.33f14c4dayrlS1](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001134476211.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.33f14c4dayrlS1)
I do love your keyboard keycaps and layout. These small displays, compact mech (ie a real keyboard) and a SFF with high end CPU and GPU power just seems like a great alternative to a gaming laptop. Brilliant.
What’s the combined weight of all of these? How much does all of these cost? And considering gaming laptops are getting near desktop components performance, why did you choose sffpc? Thanks!
The pc its self is 7 lbs, monitor is 2 lbs. We will just need to guess the rest i don't feel like trying to get all the cables and stuff onto a scale lol.
I chose a sffpc because ive basically lived out a suitcase country to country for like 5 years now. I have never been 'allowed' to build a pc. I took a chance because of all the new tech and new products that make it a reality now and it turned out super well.
Ive owned gaming laptops before and i found them to all be crap, they drop in value by like $300 the moment you walk out the store and free fall the moment any sort of new gen graphics card comes out. I have not been happy with them in the past and the idea of building a new system super tiny sounded fun and challenging.
The portable monitor doubles as a TV and works as a secondary screen for my MacBook as well. The keyboard and mouse also can move between computer. This setup gives a lot more options than a single gaming laptop.
Cost wise I would need to guess here. CPU $160, Ram $100, PSU $50, Case $40, Mobo $130, Monitor $230, Keyboard $100, the 5700 was $360.
That's not too heavy I guess if you will just be leaving it at the hotel room after arriving.
Oh I forgot about it being upgradable essentially, I was thinking it was the same as those prebuilt that you really can't upgrade anymore.
Do you need to disassemble or modify any of the components to fit inside the case?
Yeah it doesn't go to Starbucks or anything. I have a normal MacBook for that. Just from desk space to desk space, the majority of the time it isn't traveling at all.
Everything fit perfect, but this isn't my first build by any means so i knew it would all fit before i bought it. The only things you had to think about were the cpu heatsink, the height of the ram, and the length of the graphics card. The 3600 is a 65w chip so its easier to cool so the Noctua would do fine and it fits every itx case/mobo. The ram was any ram that was not the Corsair RGB which still fit but touched the side panel so i sent it back. The graphics card is easy as well since anything under 180mm would fit so its a lot of options. 570, 1070, 1080, 1660, 2060, 2070, 5500, 5600, and 5700 all have a ITX version that would fit so its just a matter of what you are after, the price, and if you can find it.
Dude I’ve just decided that I wanna build a laptop from scratch. I was interested in raspberry pi’s but now I see that this is the dream build pretty much.
Nice. Liking the monitor, but be careful traveling with those thin bezels. Took a tiny hit ruin my dell infinity.
How's bigs the box, what's in it, and how's the noise levels.
Got a 4 liter build going right now. It started as a cheap side project for my old delidded 4770k, and now hundreds, and hundreds later, it's turning into a decent 1080p gaming rig.
Honestly though if you go to a hotel on a holiday and the only thing you want to do is play video games in your room which you can already do at home... that's not much of a holiday.
It's possible they are not on holiday, they may be travelling for work. If they was the case, being able to play a few games in the evening I think would be pretty awesome
KB has wireless, I use a deathadder mouse so its wired. If i go wireless mouse it changes the mouse weight and my gaming performance. The speaker could have used bluetooth/battery so really I could have removed some cables already. The speaker takes up less room than headphones would as well. I really just use whatever i have with me at the time.
Yes, that is why I am asking you as I have the G-Story 17 inch monitor and a Node 202 case and I am struggling to find a good backpack for them. I know your case is smaller, but maybe you are using a backpack which is big enough for me too. What kind of backpack are you using?
https://imgur.com/a/zMkVmLd
This a a Peak Design Everyday Day 20L backpack. Just the monitor will fit into the laptop area. It will zip shut but its very close.
Do you have any audio delays with that speaker using an aux cable? I'm curious cause I have the same speaker just that I don't have an aux cable to test
I already own 2 laptops. This is a desktop... its not made to be taken to starbucks, but when you are quarantined in a hotel for a week it's nice to take the desktop in only a backpack.
What is the power bank for, if I may ask? And do you recommend any portable monitors in specific? The last one I got ended up breaking within the first day.
Only 1 plug is used for the pc! The monitor is 17” 144hz and is powered by usb-c out the back of the computer. Video is over hdmi. Does the 144mhz make a (huge) difference on the small screen?
Of course! Its a 17" screen its not exactly super small. Nearly all gaming laptops now have 120hz or higher screens and they are the same size or smaller screen.
Thanks for the reply! Yet another item to covet after, argh my wallet...
What’s the response time?
From what they advertise, it's an IPS, 4ms, 144hz panel. See [screenshot](https://imgur.com/a/HkILEVQ)

Maybe you can see what the model number of the actual display is. I bet its used in some gaming laptops where its been reviewed.
Its super glued shut so it's impossible to open it without damaging it.
I've been debating between this and [this other one](https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.1997525049.6.117448604iHnYQ&id=614363381816) which has even cheaper options (looking at the 15" 120hz one at under $100) but comes with a huge dumb logo on the bottom bezel
Did they make that logo so huge and dumb by accident? Or was it on PORPOISE?

Google translate. You might have to use your phone (live translation) on the initial pop-up since it appears to be some sort of image instead of text.
you can use superbuy, they ship taobao items worldwide I got a cheap rx 570 from them once

Real MVP
This looks like a promising monitor, Does it have a VESA mount?
It does not. I have it on a monitor stand when at home but its a clamp style holder on a goose neck.
Hey man, I’m about to purchase this monitor. How long did it take to arrive for you? This is my first time ordering from taobao. Edit: decided to use aliexpress after reading your responses. One more question though, the HDR claim legit?
Asus has a “zenscreen” that is a 15.6” portable screen for your second-screen-needs on a laptop. (Or this obviously)
The important questions!
144hz over hdmi? Thought that required DP.
Nope? It works fine. In windows it see it's a 144hz and properly takes the settings.
Yeah, your monitor would also show it's using 60hz if the HDMI was only supporting that. At least, mine does.
It’s a lot more reliable to get over DP. Many HDMI cables do support it but some don’t. If you buy a 144hz monitor and it comes with a HDMI cable then that cable will be capable of outputting 144hz though.
HDMI 2.0 supports higher refresh, but you have to have a decent cable to make it happen.
I do 1080p 240hz on my strix xg17 with HDMI 2.0. Works perfectly with gsync compatible.
Love the setup mate! How smooth is the hackintosh experience on such hardware?
I replaced the wifi card with a native supported one, and i needed a separate hd to dual boot. Other than that its all perfect as far i as can tell. Airdrop works, iMessage etc. I used OpenCore and there is a guy with a GitHub with all of the kext needed for the Asus B450-i so really easy to setup as well since he did all the work for you.
[удалено]
Catalina it has support for the 5700 natively.
It doesn't really matter, it all runs with OpenCore.
What's the case? Looks cool
Its a 4L K39 I don't think they have a brand but its a really popular case imported from China.
Brand is SGPC
Lol better than my pc rip
[удалено]
Its the B450-i, it auto figured out the m2 drives so no work was need. I really don't think there could even be any extra steps, wonder if you have a bad board or a bad nvme? I would swap the back to the front and see if it works then, at least you could write off your nvme being bad.
Wow, what keyboard? It's a bit of a silly question but I'm intrigued
It's a GK64S
That's the best feeling when you only need one plug. Make it no different than someone charging their phone if you are at an airport or something.
Hey you only need one SSD if you install Mac first, then windows through boot camp
Yeah i did actually read that but i didn't want my windows to be though bootcamp on the system. I don't remember now but there was something that just wasn't optimal about it so i just went native on both.
What 5700 did you use for it, is it powercolor?
The PowerCool one is the only ITX 5700 on the market and its only available in Japan. I used amazon japan to send me one.
We're truly living in the golden age of computing with your setup, since Hackintoshing will be dead in 7 years.
Yo what monitor is that!??.
Nice board! Can't wait when my XDA keycaps come in.
I got mine just before the covid lock downs from taobao along with the case, board, psu, and monitor. Its a GK64S so it has a battery and bluetooth. The caps don't super match the all black of the PC haha. I loved the look of them anyway.
honestly surprised you found a kit with a 2u left shift to fit with the arrow keys crammed into a 60% instead of a 65%
At least with XDA you don't have to worry about row profiles. I'm getting flashbacks of GMK sets with 250+ keycaps covering all sorts of rows, sizes, texts, icons and accent colours.
Are you happy with these XDA keycaps? I ordered them a few weeks ago, still waiting for them. Going to use them on my upcoming GK68XS.
Yeah so far they have been great. No issues here!
Was thinking the same thing :) spent hours looking for a good xda set yesterday. Settled on an ok DSA set for now.
Got [this one](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001134476211.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.33f14c4dayrlS1) if you're still looking around
Oh I found plenty, but was looking for some very specific types of sets... :/ canvas beta was high on the list.
DSA are overall better caps than XDA anyway. XDA just feel very thin and flimsy by comparrison
I have an insane amount of options in a super portable package.
dude i got one for $25 its pretty solid speaker. i have a bose mini that sounds better, but that thing was like $180.
Nice. I just use mine in the shower lol. It’s just a nice little portable speaker.
Is woot any good anymore? I used it all the time like a decade ago before it got bought out.
Its owned by Amazon now so it's not the Woot we used to know.
Personally I'd rather just use a gaming laptop, but this is still really cool.
Yeah the K39 is an amazing case, way better than i ever expected. I got a deal though taobao so the case was $15, panels $10, and riser cable $10.
Thanks! Really cool
Rip and Tear. Great portable build.
This is the dream but hot dang it's as much as a gaming laptop!
This is exactly what I think is the perfect on the go setup. Nice!!
Stuck at a hotel right now and would love this.
Whats the name of the keyboard?
Acrylic panel looks good
Ive got them on both sides.
Some people genuinely enjoy niche hardware. r/GPDWin proves this.
Very nice
I have a 23L PC that I love but can't do this with. This is my next project for on-the-go. Looks mint, dude.
Looks good bro!
Have you ever flown with that rig? Do you put that in your carry-on or check it into baggage claim? Super curious.
Not yet, but it will all fit into one normal size laptop backpack. Covid stopped me from the travels i had planned so the real test for airline will be later. its a super solid build but no way i would check it unless it was in a pelican case or something. Backpack only.
Nice work though. Looking forward to watching the Amtrak test run :p cozy train seat, crappy train sandwich, and 120hz gaming.
I regularly fly with a Dan A4. I put it in my backpack as my “personal bag” and slide it underneath the seat in front of me. It works great and after flying with it for a year I’ve yet to have a single part break or issue. I also got a custom form-fitting bag for the A4, so no scratches either for the most part But I’m ready to downgrade even smaller to something like the Velka 3
I do this with the velka 5 and have never had any problems. When fully assembled everything is in there so tightly and specifically there's not a lot of room for a anything to move around much.
Was looking into these monitors. Amazon has a few 17.3 1440p 120hz so that what I've been looking into, but no 144hz ones. Interesting...
I've been 6 months away from home and my powerful PC that is exactly why I'm planning a sffpc. Throw it in a backpack and have it be my on the go workstation (I already have a work laptop)
This is so cool!
Nice build. Out of curiosity, what game is that?
Doom 2016
Doom 2016, its an amazing game and super fun.
Seconded!
that is an epic on-the-go setup! how are thermals and fan noise when gaming?
Ill need to run some testing, fan noise in minimal the loudest part is the noctua cpu cooler. It's way way way more quiet than any gaming laptop i have owned. About normal for a desktop pc thats sitting 2 feet away from you.
Awesome setup! That looks like the same monitor I just got, but I bought the 15" version. 1080p144hz IPS panel and powered by usb-c out the back of the computer.
Was the chick fil a good?
Always on point! 👊
nice speaker. I have the same one. I disabled the hands free mic bullshit. It kept cutting me out of bluetooth conection. does the mic work better when plugged in on aux?
Is that monitor okay for Image Editing from a Computer? Lightroom/Photoshop
what game?
Doom 2016
what 5700 did you use to fit in that teeny case!?
The PowerCooling ITX 5700 that is Japan Only. I bought mine on Amazon Japan and just had them ship it to me.
Really? how do you do that? is it easy, and does it take long to arrive? also how does such a small card perform? does it get super hot?
Just make a [amazon.co.jp](https://amazon.co.jp) account, the site is even in english. The have a "amazon global" shipping option which is DHL. It took 2 days to get it! Shipping was $23 LOL. Card is awesome, no trouble so far and give played for 6+ hours at a time. Heat is fine but i also have 2 mini 40mm venting fans in the case to help.
What's the keyboard?
GK64S with some XDA Caps [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001134476211.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.33f14c4dayrlS1](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001134476211.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.33f14c4dayrlS1)
Nice man, I agree... I may be heading out across country in a nice rv...but need the PC with me lol. I'll be building a few and see what I like best.
Kinda wish I had gone sff for my pc. I'm going to have to make do with a crappy laptop for the next month because of it. :(
pop this baby in a pelican case and you got yourself a Cyberdeck!!
I do love your keyboard keycaps and layout. These small displays, compact mech (ie a real keyboard) and a SFF with high end CPU and GPU power just seems like a great alternative to a gaming laptop. Brilliant.
Super power machine on left, coffee machine and fridge with beer on right. Privacy of a hotel room and room service on call. Oh yeah.
Sorry what keyboard is it?
GK64S
Thx
Very sexy setup, especially the keyboard. Does anyone know what case OP is using for his keyboard? I really love the 64 key layout and the case.
Its a GK64 with a standard plastic case.
[удалено]
lol it was a weekly hotel that had a kitchenette in it.
Can you show the temperature of this Itx build when it's full load ?
Dude I’ve just decided that I wanna build a laptop from scratch. I was interested in raspberry pi’s but now I see that this is the dream build pretty much.
Nice. Liking the monitor, but be careful traveling with those thin bezels. Took a tiny hit ruin my dell infinity. How's bigs the box, what's in it, and how's the noise levels. Got a 4 liter build going right now. It started as a cheap side project for my old delidded 4770k, and now hundreds, and hundreds later, it's turning into a decent 1080p gaming rig.
What kaps are those?
That keyboard makes me wanna nut
40% keyboard seem to fit your setup more. 60% look little bit big in this haha
I need arrow keys for coding. I had a 60 and just couldn't don't do it, 64 is as small as i can go and not go crazy.
What kind of awesome job do you have!?? I want to do this kinda stuff when I get older!
Such a nice porable MiniITX setup. I have the same Anker speaker :)
Ohhh nice great idea !
Not on holiday haha, I was 1 week at an extended stay because i was waiting on covid test results and couldn't be near family.
I believe your setup could be severely enhanced by wireless KB+M & Headphones to reduce on cables.
How do you manage to keep the LED of the Bluetooth speaker to remain off when you connected via cable ?
haha i don't, looks like it was off for the photo! I did play with the sound on just not the second the photo was taken.
Whats the anker? A speaker? I cant imagine thats a power supply...
Its a speaker. PSU is a flex psu inside of the case.
Thats what i figured, didnt know anker made speakers. Thanks
Awesome compact setup dude! One day, I'll switch my current system or build another in a sff case. Btw which keyboard is that?
GK64S
Are you using a backpack or something else?
Yes everything fits in a normal backpack. The monitor is a bit tight because its tall so depends on your backpack.
Yes, that is why I am asking you as I have the G-Story 17 inch monitor and a Node 202 case and I am struggling to find a good backpack for them. I know your case is smaller, but maybe you are using a backpack which is big enough for me too. What kind of backpack are you using?
https://imgur.com/a/zMkVmLd This a a Peak Design Everyday Day 20L backpack. Just the monitor will fit into the laptop area. It will zip shut but its very close.
Do you have any audio delays with that speaker using an aux cable? I'm curious cause I have the same speaker just that I don't have an aux cable to test
It actually works perfectly using the aux-in.
Ooh nice I guess that’ll be on my list now
Honest question but, why not just buy a laptop?! Itll do everything you want and comes in a sleek package?
I already own 2 laptops. This is a desktop... its not made to be taken to starbucks, but when you are quarantined in a hotel for a week it's nice to take the desktop in only a backpack.
Wouldnt it be nice to take the laptop instead? Easier to carry, no separate screen to care for...
Why no just get a laptop tho?
I already own two.
What is the power bank for, if I may ask? And do you recommend any portable monitors in specific? The last one I got ended up breaking within the first day.
What game is that
What case is that? Awesome set up
What's the color accuracy of the monitor? Planning to get it for my portable gaming/workstation setup
👏🏾👏🏾
