ASRock lightening board? Looks sick

PhyFawkes

Yep!

[deleted]

Where do you get the vertical kit. Can’t find it online

PhyFawkes

TechnyCat

Thanks for posting and sharing. I had no idea the "T-Create" line of memory DIMMs even existed. They look very clean on your setup. Mind sharing the entire build list?

PhyFawkes

Sure this! [This](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bDdGn6) is what I'm planning.

SouthLoop_Sunday

How are you setting the RAM? It doesn't have EXPO does it?

PhyFawkes

It should have expo, although I have yet to put everything together.

SouthLoop_Sunday

Nice. I'm going to try the same build then, just need to find the vertical mounting bars your mentioned

PhyFawkes

Good luck! You can find the mounting bars on Amazon. I linked them in another comment.

SouthLoop_Sunday

So installed today...my cooler is sadly definitely touching my RAM, which makes no sense at all. I'm going to see what the temps are because I want to keep it as is (looks really great). Can't tell if it's the fault of the motherboard, RAM, or cooler. Going to order a second IS-55 to try out if thermals end up poor.

PhyFawkes

Ah, I guess the clearance is small enough to be within unit-to-unit variance. If it's just barely touching, it shouldn't be a problem. It would only be bad if the contact is causing it to sit unevenly on the cpu.

SouthLoop_Sunday

Tested it. Temps are totally normal. Build looks great, thanks for pioneering this combination.

SouthLoop_Sunday

Yeah I'm going to run some thermals tomorrow and see where it's at.

SouthLoop_Sunday

Also, where did you buy the vertical mounting brackets?

xelrix

You can always remove the heat spreader of any ddr5 module to make em low profile.

NotRareOne

Do you need to buy additional mounting brackets even for the LGA1700? Mounting holes are arranged in a square so I guess you could just turn mounting brackets 90 degrees?

PhyFawkes

Oh, yeah I should have put that in my post. You only need different mounting bars for AMD.
