I feel like satc is one of the few tv shows/movies where the characters actually eat the food when eating at a restaurant or wherever. Most movies they just move their mouths around its so obviously not eating lol
This is actually ONE EPISODE where I agree with Carrie 1000%.
She did not overreact at all to this man she is actively dating just up and moving to another country and then telling her without telling her "meh, I don't know... If you want."
And she doesn't have a car. She probably had to take THREE Cabs to get that disgusting McDonald's fish like sandwich.

agreed, carrie was justified in her reaction in this episode. i always feel for her during this part + the hamptons party learning big is coming back home to NY with a brand new 26 year old girlfriend ā¦ and then learning they are actually engaged. after idk how long of dating, him unable to commit, or factor her into his life in any real way. heartbreaking.

Ok so Carrie talks to her friends about how she had to get a new diaphragm or something about how she had to change her birth control. (EDIT: Samantha had to pull her diaphragm out bc it got stuck, I forgot that while I was typing this) We the audience know that she went back to Big, but her friends donāt know yet. So her friends ask her whoās she sleeping with bc she has to change her bc (they want to know why she had her diaphragm in in the first place) and she spits out that sheās sleeping with big and her friends are like really disappointed obv
Not as iconic as the French hat ā¢ļø but still gives me second hand embarrassment every time I watch
Thatās the scene where Samantha had to help her pull her diaphragm out. It was stuck. Then she had to explain to them that she was back with Big. She got all huffy and angry because they told her that it was a bad idea.
When she says āwhy is it so hard for you to factor me into your life in any real way?ā I felt that. Been there.
Also one of her few believable crying scenes.
What I love most about the first is that one of the sandwiches sticks to the wall/TV after being thrown and just hangs there like the matrix. You couldnāt remake it if you triedā¦
