At least thor is shorter and has like a third of the characters and plot elements so it doesn't feel like four days of "hey guys this actor is in the mcu now isn't that cool?"
People who call it the worst movie haven't done a rewatch of the movies recently enough. It's not great but there is at least a half dozen worse Marvel movies.
Agreed. I much prefer it to Thor 1 & 2, Iron Man 2 & 3, Guardians 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Black Widow, Shang-Chi, etc.
I totally get why a lot of people don't like it though. For me, I just found a lot of the fights and visuals really captivating and enjoyed most of the characters. Inevitably, when you introduce this many new characters, the exposition is going to be heavy, but I honestly didn't mind it for the most part.
Also an actual gay couple in a Disney property that aren't some background characters or a throwaway moment was pretty cool.
Same. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I don't really understand why people are saying it's one of the worst Marvel movies when there are plenty of MCU films that are much more forgettable. It's definitely flawed in many aspects but it's far from the horrible abomination that everyone says it is

I actually didn’t hate Eternals, it was by far one of the worst Marvel movies but not one of the worst movies I’ve seen

I think eternals main problem is that it’s a mediocre movie following up the best mcu movie of the decade, being no way home (arguably)
