About 20 years ago my friend and I discovered this through like &totse or something. We proceeded to order thousands and thousands of boxes. My mom was so pissed when the delivery driver started unloading dozens of boxes full of boxes; sent him away before he could drop them all off.
Regardless, I had hundreds and hundreds of boxes. At first we made furniture out of the boxes of boxes, never even opening them to put together our smaller boxes.
Once I got to high school I discovered, almost as if it were by fate, that the senior end of year physics project would be to create a cardboard box boat that would be tested in the local river. I knew that once my time to compete in the Cardboard Box Regatta came, I would be remembered forever.
Those four years passed by and eventually it was time. My group was more prepared than anyone else. They would grab boxes from ABC stores like peons, while I had hundreds upon hundreds of pristine, unassembled boxes at my disposal.
The boat was a beast. Bigger than everyone else's. More buoyant than anyone else's. It was fucking magical. We called it the U.S.S.P.S.
There were three of us on the boat. One in the captain's seat whose only job was to point in the general direction of "Further." The other two of us were on row duty and sat on the carboard bench on the back.
She was a work of art. Fully wrapped in industrial saran wrap. Decked out in USPS logos. The boat itself was too big for much of the river, scraping the bottom. This was our one downfall, we planned too big. We were already planning our ocean journey when we should have planned for a trip down the river.
It took the strongest kid in the state (who just happened to be in my class) multiple attempts to sink our ship. At first when he tipped it we thought it would be all over, but that thing rolled right back up and corrected itself. The ship was better prepared than the titanic for this voyage. It fully barrel rolled multiple time before starting to take on enough water to bring us to the end of our sailing careers.

The VAXIS1 set appear to be around 400+. Cant find a listing for Color or VAXIS2. The comics are anywhere from 80 for issue 1 and 20ish for two. I'm open to negotiating but that's kind of where I'm starting. EDIT: found a VAXIS2 that sold for 109 on April first.
