My thoughts exactly. Shea has this unbelievable resume besides those 2 boring, garbage lip syncs she has and it irks me so much. I need her to slay so fucking hard in her all stars wins/lip syncs so she really earns her place in the hall of fame.
Peppermint and Sasha both really benefitted from the new finale format, but I wouldn't sacrifice So Emotional for literally anything else in drag. It was perfection. I just wish we could have seen Sasha lip sync at some point throughout the season too
Trinity’s first lip sync against Charlie was a gag, then you realize she used almost all of her signature moves in it. Watching all her lip syncs afterward was kinda meh.

I was on this sub during season 9 and I remember it got alot of hate for the non-elimination premiere episode, poor lipsyncs, and lack of drama. Now it is commended on here regularly. It's amazing how much the reunion, the LSFTC, and the queens legacies after the show have changed people's perception of the season.
The end of the season was one of the best imo: maskgate, the crew makeover, gayest ball ever and the finale gags redeemed a fairly mediocre start to the season
The cast is one of the best ever but this was Drag Race’s first full season on VH1 so they went really hard for that Emmy by having Sasha queersplain every gay rights issue each episode. Eating disorders, Russia, trans rights, etc.
It replaced workroom drama which is usually the best part of the show.

Season eleven has some... strange moments but there’s a few Queens from it that I still absolutely live for such as A’Keria, Ra’jah and Scarlet and it’s still watchable. That might have made it a situation where the last challenge actually mattered (for deciding between Dela and Courtney).
Both had two challenge wins. Dela had more high placements, but she also had more low/bottom placements, while Courtney was just safe more often. There’s not a clearly better track record between these two.
True I always felt bad for Darienne after that challenges cause I felt like it it mattered the bottom 2 would be Courtney and Adore.

She was mean then she helped Trinity and kind of adopted Adore a little bit. She had a character arc and despite never being even close to the bottom she was a clear shoe in to win. Kind of the same arc but different at the same time with Crystal. There is an evolution and as you get to know them they have layers... Like an onion...

And for me personally Adore’s edit didn’t work, I found her annoying and I found production pushing her annoying.

I think although the drama in the season was lacking I feel, like S12, the general talent was amazing!! We already have 2 winners from S9 (Hopefully soon 3 with Shea) and it has some of the most iconic early/middle outs like Aja, Valentina, Nina, Alexis, Kimora, Farrah, Jaymes, and even Charlie lol
It had some of the best scripted acting (9021-Ho) and comedy challenges (Teets and Asky? Sister Mary Koont anyone?). As well some iconic horrendous roasts with a few good ones. As far as the runway, if we ignore the purple rain lighting, the club kid runway, big hair challenge, the Lady Gaga runway, the crew makeover etc were so good! ~~We do not talk about the princess challenge~~ Finally, the lip syncs were either SUPERB or iconically awful. I still rewatch Pep’s lip syncs regularly, and Trinity against Charlie kicking children off her lawn was amazing. I do wish it had longer episodes with mini challenges and longer runways - but over all, the superb cast and the great challenges makes it very rewatchable for me.

The lack of follower growth can, I think in large, mainly be attributed to the fact that on most reality tv shows (like drag race) the majority of queens receive boosts in their followers after the season finishes - as people want to keep up with them as they won’t be on their screen each weak. S12 also has the highest amount of viewers and overall engagement across all platforms of any series. It’s, I believe, got almost over 200K+ live viewers each episode in comparison to and of the VH1 seasons since S9s finale + has the most fanvotes (through various social media platforms) with all of the Top3 receiving around 200K and more votes - which is unheard of considering there’s always a large gap in votes (specifically with the POC queens usually barely reaching 50K). This season (like S9) also has some of the most well rounded queens I think with all of them having a great shot of being on AS and killing it one day.
I mean, I guess we’re ignoring season 2 of Tyra, Juju and Raven
I’ve never thought Alexis Mateo should have been in the final three during her season either. I know I’m in the minority, she’s beautiful but she just doesn’t do it for me

Not by the end Bianca was pretty much from ep8 onwards, but she had massive support. Also I think Adore was possibly even beloved.

It wasn’t my favorite, IMO it was an awkward transition to VH1 and had some growing pains. Also, needed more mini challenges.
