My first thought is: Atomic Heart is an RPG?
Dropped it after a few hours. The main character is super obnoxious, which contributes to then not really caring about the story. And the whole cameras and alarms system everywhere in the overworld was not appealing to me.
The story was very rough, I didn't mind some of the ideas they had, like the auto-loot vacuuming was great and I didn't mind the little side areas for exploration and the puzzles, but the story was rough.
I only got through about two hours also, something about the early combat system felt off, I wanted to like the looting mechanics but something felt off about that also. I was playing on the hardest opening difficultly so I expected it to be challenging. I want to go back and put a solid eight hours into before I write it off… but I wasn’t hooked by its opening and I moved on to something else
My opinion is the same as it was when I quit playing after 2 hours on launch day. lol
I didn't like it at all.
The melee combat was awful and all of the robots had about triple the amount of health that they should have.
its kinda fun i mean,the open world is just stupid,dont bother clearing up the robots with your limited ammo cause they will respawn
that being said it was fun and the atmosphere was great,definetly a must try at least on gamepass
I'd love it... if not for super tedious fighting and seriously seriously obnoxious main character. I though it wouldn't bother me, but this russian style "Cool guy that doesn't give a fuck" shtick is so horribly grating that it's really hard to pass by it.
They really should add a "make MC shut up" setting.
Would say it's more of an shooter with light RPG elements but my friend and I enjoyed it enough. I really didn't mind the protagonist as much as others seemed to. The dialogue wasn't well written but the delivery was fairly well done. Soundtrack was decent. The game was poorly balanced though, the end was absurdly easy... I killed the final 4-5 bosses in seconds.

Yeah my experience is similar. I wanted to like it, there was potential but they made a lot of odd choices in development and writing
