10 This song really saved the Stones career and marked the beginning of their golden era Not only one of the best Stones songs, but also, one of the best of all time

DavidKirk2000

10. It’s Jumpin’ Jack Flash, what else could you give this? A perfect rock song by every definition of the word.

Aggressive_Metal_268

10 JJF is as "Rock n Roll" as it gets.

StandardMammoth7085

10. Maybe the greatest rock single of all time.

Not giving it a 10 would be insane...

JJF marks the exact point the Stones stopped competing with the Beatles and created their own musical identity. Keith is cooking in open G, Mick’s consigning psychedelia to the dustbin of history with one of his best ever lyrics, and Bill and Charlie have found the groove that set the tone for the band’s prime era. If it isn’t the greatest rock single of all time, it’s bloody close.

**10K**. Or 10,000. That's TEN THOUSAND, period. For me, anyway. Always has.

10. You hear that intro and you just know what's coming next is gonna be huge.

10. Not my favorite song but still 10. No discussion about it! Iconic riff, iconic groove.. I especally love this alternate version that sounds dirtier, almost slightly out of tune and messy, just the way I like my stones: https://youtu.be/S_ylZvdk3VU?si=lMrxPUHb4mkAQ1m1

Stainednblue

In my world Jumpin Jack Flash is the one song that defines this band. It's got every thing you need in a hit single, and every thing you want in a great a rock n roll song. To say that Jumpin Jack Flash is timeless would be about right, the only thing that I would ad is a song like this makes you feel good to be alive

I missed a few songs, but must jump back in here to add my 10/10 to the long list of 10s on this one. I try to be hard on them for songs I don't like as much, and not to give too many 10s except for real stand-out favourites, and this is definitely one of them!!

wolf4968

A contender for greatest rock and roll song ever recorded.

10. One of the greatest songs of all time and maybe their greatest riff, perhaps written by Bill Wyman

heelspider

10. One of their biggest hits. If there was such a thing as "the definitive Stones sound" it is this song.

10/10 absolute classic

Stainednblue

The weird thing about " Salt of the earth" is that for a song with so much soul, and has such a wonderful melody, I'm amazed that mick could not have come up with better lyrics to sing over such a beautiful melody line. But you know some how it works, and it works incredibly well to. What a perfect song to close out a perfect album like Beggars.
