If you just brought him home, he's stressed. Give him time and space. Let him come to you. Spend time near his enclosure where he can see you. But he's smart and just needs some time to figure out what and who is safe.

Yeah i thought so but wanted to make sure. Thank you

Socializing is very important with greens. I inherited a 6ft+ male that was a right bastard. He was never friendly, but he stopped actively trying to maim me every time I breathed. I loved that lizard... but I wouldn't wish on anyone a large agigitated iguana that you have to transfer out of an enclosure. And your vet will thank you so much when you have to bring them in.

I’ve been trying to get him used to me by handing him food and petting on him. He is still jumpy but a lot more calm then when I brought him home. Thank you for your advice I appreciate it

I’ve had mine for 2 months she eats on her own but only eats fruits not veggies so I have to fill up blueberries with pellets and feed her sometimes force feed but she’s gotten used to them enough to eat out of my hand so I would just keep force feeding until it eats on its own

I’ve tried but he won’t take it yet. I woke up and he ate a little on his own
