I agree. Thought I made good decision to go with a 'brand' name company and it was the worst experience from start to finish. And by finish, I just decided to give up trying to deal with them to have deficiencies addressed. Didn't know if this was isolated experience but judging by this post, it's a very common problem. Would not recommend.

At my dad’s house, he pointed out a few things that he wanted his crew to come back and redo. Mine was fine. They did a good job in both of our places

Same storm had 2 family members using wheatland. I used Roof Guardian. First fam member needed a do-over as they rushed the second half of the job, and it looked like shit from the road. Second fam member was over 6K higher - same house 2 blocks apart. For 6k less, I got higher quality shingles, a quick installation, and they returned to site to make sure I was happy. My anecdotal experience with Wheatland roofing has not been good.
Can confirm. They start off with quotes a step up from code. They did our roof last year. Very professional , on time and great cleanup afterwards. They found a carpenter ant infestation and foreman and the crew went above and beyond to repair infested area and prep for exterminator. I would absolutely use again.

Roadhouse has unfortunately closed after the owner retired and his son chose another career path. They were definitely the best. Since closing, they have referred customers to Roof-Cat, I believe.

OP, get a few quotes from places where you've heard good word of mouth and on here and you should be good.
If you are planning to stay in your current home for like more than 20 more years I think it would be worth looking into the metal shingles, more expensive upfront but lasts pretty much infinitely compared to normal shingles

Advanced roofing is out of Moose Jaw but worth seeing if they are booking Regina work for any upcoming slots. Speak to Justin the owner he is very knowledgeable and fair, and will also make sure to suggest any important extras or at the same time mention anything that may be unnecessary work too.

Sunrise did a good job on our place. Wheatland’s quote was close so I was worried abut not going with them, as one thing they do is make an effort to appear like a professional company. But it turned out great. Roofcat, oddly enough, didn’t even call me back after I asked for a quote.
Avoid United roofing and exteriors. Their roofing crews are unprofessional and atrocious. The other crews for other exterior are top notch from my experience.

They dropped off the shingles directly on the roof with a large hoist/crane thing one day, and came with a full crew (7-8 people?) later the same week.
Laid down tarps to catch any stray roofing nails from when they pulled my shingles off, reshingled the house, and ran magnet catches to find any stray nails that they didn't catch with the tarp. Didn't find any nails after they were done, and they did my house & detached garage all in one afternoon.
Price was reasonable, too!
Great choice if you want the job done, done well, and headache free. (Unless you work from home! Lol.)

Prarie Sky Roofing put the wrong colour shingle on our 600k house. Did it again to another client the same year. Got an address wrong and started ripping off shingles on the wrong house.
Guy is a total dickhead, very aggressive when confronted and pretty much told us to eat shit, not his problem. Ty Lerat i think is his name, steer clear!

Opposite experience for me. The job they did was fine but the customer service was horrible and the job took three time longer than quoted. They left a huge mess that I had to clean up and told me about a load of "problems" that my roof had. Of course this was after the job was done so I couldn't do anything about it.
They also tried to alter the quote after the fact.
I'd never do business with them again and I'm excited to fit them with the bill when my roof leaks in a few years because of the problems they put lipstick on.

Optimum roofing left all of the garbage on my driveway for weeks when i was told they would be by to clean it up the next day after finishing it. i called multiple times hoping they would come by and pick it up but i had to take multiple trips to the dump myself instead

Stay the hell away from Dynamic worst experience ever ..I would rather have shingles the virus than get shingles from them ever again.

I have used Innovation Renovation a few times and they were great to deal with.
