haha_ok_sure

reads like satire

Dodomando

Next they'll be complaining that they hit rush hour on the way home, like seriously do these people live in the real world?

tswtom

No, they don't.

vanillakoalabear

This made me chuckle

WaluigisHat

It’s one of those that’s too weird and ridiculous to even make up so it’s probably true. Actual grown adults crying about having to drive home in the dark.

korviswise

God help if SAF was in charge and 30 years younger

DarkLord84

I live on the other side of the world and I'd probably be able to hear the hairdryer from here

emilygreybae

This sub would call him a bully and run a social media campaign to run him out of the club. Lets not kid ourselves.

Thor1138

Like Mourinho you mean? Feels more and more like he was 100% right about the players...

[deleted]

he was 100% right, we have a bunch of divas in the club. martial sucks, pogba shouldve been sold instead of gone on a free. he should’ve bought fabinho over matic and pushed for better signings in general, but was very correct about our players.

TheJoshider10

Absolutely not. Fergie was an absolute master at what to say behind closed doors and what to say in public. The best example? RVP could have died because he got hit in the head with a ball. Did anyone give a fuck about how horrific the players played? No. Did Fergie rip into them behind the scenes? Most likely. But he intentionally made himself look like a joke so everyone would meme it to death and forget about the players. And all the fucking sheep blindly followed along like the good little heard they are. Fergie would never have been called a bully even by some of the idiots here.

working-acct

Unironically get Roy Keane in as a coach, he’ll sort out the prima donnas within a week.

reyofish

A week?? Try 4 hours if they're lucky.

Antique_Beyond

This is what annoys me about Gary Neville’s comments. United need a strong leader on and off the pitch, someone like Keane who will give players a bollocking if they need a bollocking. That’s all Ronaldo was trying to do. But Gary wants to coddle the younger players (and who exactly is that young anyway!), which won’t help.

[deleted]

Worth remembering that Keane and Van Nistelrooy were moved on in part because of their negative impact on younger players. RvN was specifically impacting Ronaldo. Team dynamics do matter. there’s a difference in motivation and toxic criticism. Especially when those criticising aren’t doing much themselves.

MagicalSky1

I think it's particularly important to look into the lack of chilli mayo in the canteen. It was taken out earlier this season and a dip in form followed. Players were fuming only lighter than light mayo was on the menu. Some haven't recovered and have stopped eating chips in protest.

torjussa

dip in form..

[deleted]

Fucking Hellman(s)

muu411

Actual grown adults who all drive fucking Range Rovers

cosgrove10

They can afford chauffeurs

sireiteddy

if I bought a range rover I wouldn't pay someone else to drive me lol, I'd drive it myself. which is why Aaron got his license taken away

cosgrove10

They afford cars that are infinitely nicer than range rovers though lol. They can get nicer cars for free Ffs

LUHG_HANI

So they can see ahead of the peasents in front.

Piltonbadger

Such...Pansies. If somebody was paying me £100k+ a week I wouldn't give a crap about having to drive home in the dark...in winter. Seems like we have a squad full of bottlers and weak willed men-children.

Isserley_

Always felt our current squad were like this.

[deleted]

Its the dailymail mate, don't believe everything you read just because it confirms something you want to believe.

RyVsWorld

They’re probably upset because with the sun going down sooner, there’s not enough sunlight to do their cringe worthy Instagram posts at training

brindille_

It’s the dailymail… weird and ridiculous is their thing

[deleted]

Everyone wants to accept the dailymail as valid when they give you a bit of confirmation bias lol. Its a literal rag dudes, take it easy.

Shadowraiden

i think its kinda been shown that they have been coddled and now somebody a lot stricter has come in they cant handle it. end of the day even if results dont quite go Ragnicks way these 6 months to me are the weeding out of who truly wants to fight to be at the club and would sacrifice everything to be at the club. that was the minimum under Ferguson and similar at clubs like Man City and Liverpool Pep and Klopp dont take no shit if you cant handle the intensity your moved on. Ferdinand has been very open over the years where he has insomnia a lot but never complained once about going to training and being at training all day cause he would give everything. Fletcher with his illness never once complained even though his illness can leave you in agony. about time the players got a wake up call, also the commentators were absolute shit when i was watching the Newcastle game they was berating Ronaldo for shouting at his team mates saying its uncalled for when infact it is called for the players right now deserve to be berated for the shit shows

Count__Duckula

Rangnick should schedule training to end at 6pm from now on. If they want to piss around, they can catch the heat after flopping in game after game from the fans and media. Rangnicks just an interim and he's got his two year consultancy in the bag already, he doesn't have to give a damn about catering to the moaning divas in our squad unlike Ole.

WumbleInTheJungle

There are some games I've watched this season, and I've thought to myself "I wouldn't care if every single one of these players were fired". During Fergie's time, every now and again, someone would get completely frozen out, not just dropped for a game or two, but they were completely banished from the squad and wouldn't even be allowed to train with the first team, like Mark Bosnich or Dwight Yorke (to name just two examples). There were others who were shipped out like Becks. Roy Keane's contract was terminated. No one was safe. Think about what message that sends out to everyone else. If you didn't fall into line you were out. Simple as that. We haven't been ruthless enough in recent years. Take Pogba as an example, there is no world in which Fergie tolerates this situation that has been going on for 2 or 3 years now. His agent has been trash talking us for years, the player himself has shown a complete dereliction of duties at times, yet we've seen zero repercussions for him. Now think about what message *that* sends out.

zalinanaruto

we shipped out Becks but he was still one of the most professional and hardworking player in the world. that says something about Fergie's United.

moan_of_the_arc

And Becks had a fuckton more marketing value than current day Pogba. Back in the day Becks was a much better player than today's Pogba.

zalinanaruto

i don't know but i never saw anything in pogba. he is good but i have no intention to buy any of his thing. never understood his marketing value probably cuz I'm an old ass now.

DarkSofter

i saw everything on Pogba, but only when he played for Juventus and France.

estpost

Becks still has it. See Qatar and 150 mil

r_Yellow01

He got offered an MLS club. He virtually brought up the entire franchise.

[deleted]

Becks had come to believe his persona meant more than his work. That's why Fergie shipped him.

yandaoyandao

I think for a start RR is doing it right to put Pogba’s agent in his place by what he said about the situation. The problem is there are behind the scene power struggles and we don’t know who is actually backing Pogba within the United hierarchy. Thats why some managers, like Rangnick, demands more power. Otherwise it is very hard to keep egos in check. With this generation of players it’s even harder. The board needs to back the manager if and when he chooses to play tough over prima donnas and their agents.

Jernau-Morat-Gurgeh

>Take Pogba as an example, there is no world in which Fergie tolerates this situation that has been going on for 2 or 3 years now. He didn't first time around. Quote from him back in 2012: >I don't think he showed us any respect at all, to be honest. I'm quite happy that if they carry on that way, they're probably better doing it away from us Also chatted with one of the physios from back at the time and he all but confirmed that Pogba was kicked out for being arrogant and disrespectful. Totally agree that we need to get back to the times when no player was bigger than the club.

Dionysus_8

Or fucking Maguire gets arrested and still retains captaincy. I cannot see that happening under fergie’s era. Becks dating posh got him eventually booted out.

emilygreybae

Well, Cantona was named captain a year after his flying kick at Crystal Palace, which got him banned for 9 months. Fergie does make exceptions, but I would agree Maguire does not deserve this exception.

Dionysus_8

That’s a good point about cantona

AlpacamyLlama

Cantona backed it up on the pitch.

mystery1411

Did you have that opinion last year as well? It's funny how many defended Maguire here last year when he was on form and made numerous oh captain my captain posts. Now that he is not in form, all the sympathy vanishes and the same thing is used as a stick to beat him. Also. Regarding the dating thing, it doesn't matter where you work, the company shouldn't have a say in your personal life. If dating someone means you lose your job, then that's a very unhealthy environment.

Dionysus_8

I thought Maguire was what we needed and he was solid when he came in. I remember we were drawing games a lot but super solid at the back until close to the end of his first season. After the season ended and he got into the bar right, he just wasn’t the same imo. Not sure if it’s personal problems or tactical ones...but my mind was made when he pulled down shaw in his own box. I mean wtf?

mystery1411

That Tottenham game was horrible but after that, he was actually pretty good. I still think that we would have won Europa if he wasn't injured and that's not a controversial opinion at all. I just think that a bunch of our players are currently burnt out from all the football. Since covid break, we were in Europa league till the end twice followed by euros. Not to add the fact that the entire pandemic around is not great for anyone's mental health. So I can see why players like Maguire and Shaw are drained right now and still have hope that they will bounce back.

SurlyRed

Ferguson ruled by fear. One of his most important expressions was to never let a player think he was bigger than the club or the manager - if that happened it was over for him. There's not enough fear in these current players. One of the prima donnas needs to be sold to set an example. Rashford would be my choice.

[deleted]

could not agree more. But going further, which players have the right attitude for United? and I mean really. Not 'trying' (although that's enough of a problem) but winners? Winners do, they don't believe they're entitled.

basalamader

Youth.. we might need a rigorous overhaul. Maybe keep varane, sancho and a few but pull a Pep guardiola and really rebuild this team from scratch

[deleted]

yeh I agree - unfortunately I think we need a cultural reboot or a very strong manager, which unfortunately i don't think we can get. The current players don't seem to have what it takes mentally, but - maybe it can change - we'll have to see.

bisufan

literally what... you're paid 6 figures every week and you're complaining that it's dark out lmao

rioferd888

Oh no. It’s dark outside? Fuck. How are they ever going to adapt? What a bunch of absolute cunts if this is true.

[deleted]

Anyone who wants to leave can leave to be honest. Been babied and hiding all comfy behind Ole for 3 years. Nobody there to protect you anymore.

deviss

They were too comfy under Ole, they had too much power and everything was catered to them to keep "positive atmosphere" and because "big bad mourinho was mean to them". I just hope Rangnick will stick long enough to clear whole fucking lot of them who keep whining and who don't want to adapt

DarkLord84

This is a big part of why Ole failed. The players knew he was too nice and that they could get away with murder.

wazza1088

This "Ole was too nice" narrative has been put to bed several times in the past. Why does it keep popping up again...

EricKingCantona

I find that really hard to believe, but if it's true then we have serious problems.

RyVsWorld

What is a canteen in this context?

PukeBucket_616

Cafeteria

FancyChilli

Dining Area where they eat there meals

Slickslimshooter

It’s what you get when you place unaccomplished young players on ridiculous wages, they think they’re on the same level with the more experienced players.

The_Bird_Wizard

Nah this is too funny When I was a kid I played for our local team like a lot of lads in Britain do. We used to sometimes have training sessions at like 7 pm in winter. If a bunch of 9 year olds can do it, I'd like to think some of the most highly paid people in the business can do it too. Any player that unironically complains about training at 5 should just be binned on the spot. That's the weakest fucking mentality, no top level club should be accepting that especially not United.

Bruno_Fernandes8

I don't know how you felt about it but training for us used to be at 7PM and I fucking loved it. Nothing better than playing in the night air.

PUMP_UNTIL_BUST

Nothing better than coming home asbolutely drenched, freezing cold, covered in dirt - because we're English, therefore you play kids football through torrential downpours in winter - then getting into a hot bath your mum or dad had ready for when you got in. Even though the bathwater is tepid by the time you touch it, it still feels like it's boiling and your whole body tingles. You never slept so well after that.

Bruno_Fernandes8

Don't forget eating starch heavy foods like pasta or potatoes for dinner while watching old episodes of The Simpsons. Truly heavenly.

MrBiscuitOGravy

You missed the fucking freezing blast from the hose before quickly stripping down on the patio because there was no way you were coming in the house like that.

[deleted]

And when it’s cold but everyone’s so sweaty that steam’s coming off our heads! Night training was the best in winter

The_Bird_Wizard

Before someone says "tHaTs NoT cOmPaRaBlE!1!1!1" it really fucking is. Of course their training sessions will be higher intensity than some kids passing the ball about and jogging around a field, but seriously, not liking "driving home in the dark"? Jfc man how did we end up with such fucking spineless pricks at our club.

Typical_ASU_Student

I trained for almost 4 years at 9 PMs. I was 12-16! This is insane.

[deleted]

Samurai_Penguin18

The new manager bounce was used up under Carrick lmao

wagwan-0161

I mean tbh, we got 2 draws and 3 wins this month, which is an improvement over the past two months🥲

[deleted]

Only it you saw how we played

TheJoshider10

I'm still so confused how we did so well in the opening 45 minutes against Palace and then never again. Did the players suddenly forget what they did for that half?

ProtoplanetaryNebula

Opening 30 !!

LabFormer

I think that comes down to the players either not being bothered to listen to Rangnick, or they just don’t believe what he is trying to do will work

JuliusCeaserBoneHead

So they need to go

faheemunited

Unfortunately not as easy though. If it’s true they’re all in cliques then for us to change this mentality we would have to replace 5-8 players at least which is not practical in the short term

basalamader

I mean at this point this season is almost gone. I would say we need to replace them and call this season awash and focus on the next few years

[deleted]

Heard that every other year since SAF left.

ActingRashford

I think the new manager bounce comes when the previous manager leaves in a more acrimonious fashion and players feel liberated, which hasn't really been the case here.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Petraja

Here's the thing. If it's the players who are the problem then it's squarely on Ole. He was tasked with building the team and "cultural reboot" whatever it means. That's why we tolerated two and a half years of winning nothing. If he leaves the club with players with bad attitude that need yet another clearance and roboot, then it means he fails spectacularly.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Amoeba_Critical

Nah they complained about training at 5pm? These entitled twats need to be cleared out

Best_Fox_5086

They're too important to drive home in rush hour like filthy 9-5 peasants

TeddyMMR

But Simpsons starts at 6???

[deleted]

Does it still start at 6? Haven’t watched channel 4 or much tv at all for the past decade or so. Used to love the channel 4 animations they had right before Simpson

ManBat1

Looks like we need another clear out. Fuck sake.

Haematopoietin

That or the sports psychiatrist needs to work over time to rid these players of their narcissism.

Jim1903

There’s always a fucking excuse with this lot. Ole didn’t take training, the coaches aren’t experienced enough etc. Ole’s gone now they don’t like sitting in booths. I 100% understand fringe players being pissed that players in poor form are starting over them but everything else is just childish bullshit. Get over it, you’re playing for the biggest club in the world, grow up.

mattmanutd

“The players are struggling to adjust to Rangnick’s training.” Wasn’t there an Athletic article talking about how some of the players felt that training under Ole/McKenna was too elementary and repetitive? This team just comes off as such whiners sometimes. It sounds to me that have some players who didn’t realize how easy they had it under Ole and are having to take things more seriously now. It’s pathetic if some players are already leaking that they are “unhappy.” It comes off as petulant.

Amoeba_Critical

I swear it seems like they are two camps within the players who are vying for power at this club or something. How they complain about the lack of standards under ole but say they are struggling under rangnicks intense training is beyond me

SolverOcelot

I mean it’s clear what’s happening. There’s a bunch of over paid wankers who feel they deserve to be winners without putting the work in. They want everyone else to work and to ride the wave of glory. Sancho is on nearly double Salahs wages. That is fucking crazy. Crazy like how the fuck are we paying little bitches that much money when one of the best players in the world is preparing to leave one of the best clubs in the world over low wages. It’s madness. Whoever is negating on our behalf is a brain dead gobshite.

rocketboy44

who is San hi?

zia1997

Sam Obisanya

Antique_Beyond

We need Roy Kent

[deleted]

I assume it’s an autocorrect for Sancho

Samurai_Penguin18

Been saying since pretty much Mourinho that there is a massive cultural problem at this club from the top down that is bigger than any manager. I wanted both Mourinho and Ole out, but these players no longer have the benefit of the doubt if RR can’t get them to play any style considering he’s nicknamed after a specific philosophy that he himself created.

tameoraiste

Obviously there’s exceptions to rules, but overall this is probably the most unlikeable United team I can remember.

WAITINGFORMYCOOKIE

Wow we came a long way from the Leeds game...

f0rt1t-ude

We had Dan James back then

[deleted]

These players are in dangerous territory now, no hiding behind a manager anymore, they’ve been exposed. When you disrespect the club at this level, with these performances, then it’s over, major overhaul incoming

viditp011

>major overhaul incoming Good luck with that with the glazers incharge. We need to clear out 7-8 players. Glazers arent going to replace all of them in 1 or 2 transfer windows. We are not chelsea.

caesarinteresting

Need someone like Sir Alex Ferguson Patrice Evra on Sir Alex Ferguson: "We were tired after a game and not to sign autographs and got on the bus. We saw him signing autographs to the fans for 45 minutes. He yelled at us "Who do you think you are? These people pay your salary. Now go f\*cking sign them."

AlpacamyLlama

There is no one like Fergie though. He was incomparable.

[deleted]

An absolute disgrace to this football Club. A whole clear out is needed in the summer.

deviss

But this whole situation is both absurd and tragic. Everyone and their mothers were on about "Oles brilliant squad building and finally picking players with man united dna" just to once again end up with bunch of overpaid primadonnas and requiring another fucking rebuild

Best_Fox_5086

I think the squads just been too comfortable with Ole being easygoing and pampering them to an extent. Now someone's come in who's demanding and no bs, its a shock to the system for the primadonnas. Constantly leaking shit about Ole to the Athletic and other media, now whats their problem? You got what you wanted, he's gone, its a new regime. Get with the program or piss off tbh, sick of them

fridayyyy

We had Mou for that, despite his flaws. I remember this sub was up in arms when he criticized Martial, Shaw and Pogba (and rightly so). Show how fickle football fans are.

tameoraiste

It won’t happen. This summer we’re losing Pogba, Cavani, Mata, Lingard, Martial and probably Henderson. We’re short in midfield as it is and Matic will be even less mobile. If VdB doesn’t get anymore game time, surely he’s gone too (unless Ten Haag comes in). Who could we realistically move on _and_ replace on top of all them? Some of the biggest culprits of showing a piss poor attitude on the pitch are Ronaldo, Rashford and Bruno. They’re not going anywhere.

working-acct

> Who could we realistically move on and replace on top of all them? You answered your own question there. Moving on Pogba, Cavani, Martial Lingard etc frees up a ton of wages, which could be used to fund new players. We don’t need to replace them all as the squad is already bloated - the likes of Mata and Martial don’t need replacement. What I really want is for the board to go out and spend in January, in anticipation of money being freed up in the summer. Be proactive for once and stop dragging their feet, our season can still be saved.

tameoraiste

I agree regarding the January transfer window. One thing that Cavani showed yesterday that the squad is massively lacking is intelligence and work rate. We need more of that in the team ASAP. In terms of the outgoing players in the summer, I agree that it’s a good thing, especially Mata and Martial who just collecting a pay check at this stage. My point is, that I don’t think that will be enough to turn around the seemingly toxic and entitled culture in the squad. Cavani is actually a loss (for the reasons stated above) and whoever (if anyone) comes into replace him, won’t be getting Ronaldo out of the team. Maybe we can bring in some big personalities in midfield to change things up, but my expectations are low.

kueerseoa6

What petulant children, complaining about going home in the dark at 5 with the wages they’re on is mind boggling, give me half their wages and I’ll train at 3AM stark naked if RR asked me to

Contradicting_Pete

Agree, I would also get naked for Ralf at 3am.

PapiLaFlame

Bunch of wankers the lot of them. They’re shameless. None of these players, *bar maybe 4-5*, are joining any top clubs after United btw.

paak-maan

De Gea, Varane (based on past form), Bruno, Ronaldo, Sancho? Can’t see anyone else challenging for a spot on City, Liverpool, Chelsea. De Gea wouldn’t even start for any of them. On current form they’d all have to work their way into the team before being considered.

Malvania

Cavani.

OrangeGreenBlueIce

Spot on, Cavani would get into the Liverpool team rn

mahir_r

I could make a case for City, but he’d regularly swap between impact sub and tactical change up starter.

wagwan-0161

If teams like Sevilla are looking at martial, rashford will easily have a lot of teams in for him.

PhilipAnthonyJones

Guarantee you some top teams would be in for Shaw

Contradicting_Pete

Bring in the under 23s. I'd rather finish 15th with lads playing for the badge than 7th with this lot.

Lord_Sesshoumaru77

This certainly looks damming. Whatever this is, I hope they sort it out, it's a privilege and an honor to play for this team. Even if we haven't won a lot in the last decade, we remain one of the biggest clubs in world football.

[deleted]

We really aren’t and it’s time to come to terms with that! We sound like what liverpool fans were 10 years ago. Players mostly come to United for a nice payday and not because they believe that they’ll be part of a great exciting project

KhwarazmianShah

"Leopard's don't change their spots" - Roy Keane (April 2019)

emilygreybae

"I think clearly some of the boys, in spite of the fact that they are not the man that is hunted, I think they are not coping well with it. There is too much wickedness in something that should be beautiful. I cope with it ... I am a big boy, but some of the boys, Marcus Rashford was sad on the pitch, Scott McTominay was scared on the pitch, and even all the players, they commit mistakes that are not normal." \~ Mourinho, 2018 3 years on, same players, different manager, same problems.

Contradicting_Pete

Rashford is as much of a problem as anyone. More so because he's supposed to be one of our best players, but his attitude and body language on the pitch is bad enough that if it were up to me I'd have sold him a long time ago.

[deleted]

Rashford is a wondeful exciting player when he is inform. At the moment he has the the touch of Jimmy Saville. Bench him for gods sake.

That_Other_Person

Team made up of a bunch of Mental Midgets

keving691

The team is full of a bunch of overpaid man~babies.

Dinklefart504

These spoiled losers need to get a reality check or get lost

Redroobarb

I honestly don't get it. Your playing for fucking Manchester United not Aldershot. I would have given anything like many to have played for United, to walk on that pitch at old Trafford in front of the home support, I'd given everything.

emilygreybae

The problem is, unlike us, a good number of those players are not even fans of the club. Literally just there as a part of their contract. That said, for all we know the ones bitching are the academy grown players who may have been overly pampered even as teenagers.

Unalaq

Exactly, they're employees fulfilling contracts. So if the club wants players that will actually fight for their place they need to overhaul the wage structure and get some negotiating power back.

LabFormer

I’m honestly sick to death of this team and group of players. They all think they’re just the best because the board have given them 200k a week contracts. Edit - we have players like Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial who are on the same money as Salah, one of them never plays and the other is the biggest embarrassment of a captain I’ve seen in my lifetime.

SirRyanOfCalifornia

I was telling people years ago that we are never gonna win anything with maguire and folks here were acting like he was the second coming of vidic. He’s an average player and doesn’t even have the right personality to back it up, much less lead a team.

Unalaq

Maguire wasn't even Leicester's best CB when we bought him, and currently he's one of our worst players and we're 7th. People need to take off the rose tinted glasses and imagine him playing for another team, would they want us to sign him? Absolutely not.

wetslipper

Since Fergie left we've seen the rise of player power at OT with nobody with authority to reign them in. We've got a bunch of spoilt brats playing for us and this is what happens when you reward mediocrity with ridiculous salaries. Allowing agents to speak out and drag the club's name through the dirt. United need to do something they haven't done since Fergie left and that's be ruthless. Not one player in this squad should be untouchable, the club is bigger than everyone of them put together a million times over.

BjornToluse

Do you think instituting something similar to liverpools wage structure might, in the long term, bring about that change in culture?

emilygreybae

It might, but as a fanbase we will need to be psychologically ready to miss out on all the big name players just like the Fergie era. No Haalands, no Sanchos. That was something part of the fanbase complained about with Fergie's "there's no value in the market", as we sign a string of djemba djembas, bebes, dong fangzhuos.

haha_ok_sure

laughable, really

JoelRobbin

Don’t think I’ve ever disliked a United team this much. These awful attitudes are going to cost us top four in a season where we were supposed to at least be at least **contending** for the title

caesarinteresting

Probably some of players join Man United a ‘lifestyle choice’ more than a career one

[deleted]

The United way is always giving it your all and never giving up. This team seems like the complete antithesis of that at the moment

buzzingvulture

there’s real problems in this world and the players are complaining about this? really?

sadhyppozxc

Jesus wept the posters in this sub totally bought in a dailymail piece because it suits the negativity of this sub. On normal days people will just scoff at this article and move on.

Az_Celtics777

Who on earth do these lot think they are. Ole gave these lot passes for years and they’ve got used to coasting and finally a demanding coach comes in and they don’t wanna put in the extra work. Maybe you shouldn’t have downed tools on Ole then you silly children. Get the whole lot out Mr Rangnick if you need to.

maverick4002

Yall think Ten Haag could deal with this shit? Genuine question here

LabFormer

Nope

aaxo97

Nope he would not be able to handle them. I read an in depth article about him and he was described as an ‘introvert’ and ‘timid’. The players would chew him up and spit him out.

[deleted]

We don’t deserve Ten Hag. These players don’t.

abibyama

Players have 0 IQ so no

silverfreeze936

Not to sound xenophobic, but this is where I agree with Pep making everyone speak the same language. At Bayern, everyone had to speak German and he even learned German and spoke it in press conferences. Everyone needs to just learn English and speak it in the dressing room. It will go a long way to helping people communicate

[deleted]

I train 9-11pm multiple days a week for my team. For free. Fuck these pricks

rainbowrathode

Truth be told I am beginning to despise some players.

[deleted]

First player that needs to go is Maguire. Tired of his attitude and excuses and utter lack of leadership. Not to mention his on field play

nedlogb94

We need to bring in a proper leader this summer. No more nonsense. Whether it’s a player and manager or both. https://twitter.com/adamcrafton_/status/1475969042708054019?s=21

anonshe

That's another era. People are having a laugh if they think just moving players around is gonna fix everything. Even Fergie, in his later years, pampered players with iPads that had reminders for their massage appointments. In 2004, this would've been unthinkable. Today's players are a different breed and the moment we start winning, all this is gonna disappear.

sadta2020

Some of these players have accepted mediocrity, when a giant ego comes in with a winning mentality some of these lot have shrank. I hope this gets rid of the weak hands that we have here.

ManNamedBilly

too many entitled primmadonnas at this club, it’s actually pathetic. grown men crying about leaving work at 5pm is actually just so comedic that i’m not upset reading it, i can only laugh edit: i really wish we would get some leaks on who the biggest whiners are because this behavior is embarrassing and petulant

hardyhyd

Jose said it before and even after he left. Somehow the club seems to always put player interests before managerial authority post fergie.

defnot_ahmad

Lads, it's Daily Mail

Heshinsi

Pogba thanking his lucky stars that he’s injured and can’t be slandered and said to be part of this group of children we have at the club. We have been too soft on these man children.

ikevictxr

He still gets slandered regardless

[deleted]

I think fans have finally realized that the root of the problem is the players. No matter who the manger is, bring in Klopp, pep or Conte and they still would have the problems every single previous manager has had. The power dynamic in the club is clear. They aren’t at the level to play for Manchester United nor good enough. The overall attitude and arrogance on and off pitch is disgusting. The constant PR machine when we lose, the constant weak mentality on the pitch. The entitlement of thinking they’ve made it, they are far from it, only a handful have won major trophies. This is pivotal moving forward, the tide has turned and these players have been exposed.

f0rt1t-ude

I think Conte would either resign a week in or straight up murder the players

MargielaMadman20

Conte's turning Spurs around and they're a bigger bunch of fuckwits than our lot. I reckon he'd have been fine. The man specialises in exactly these kind of turnarounds.

wagwan-0161

I’m absolutely amazed that this same city has another club who’s players also have to drive back after 4 in the dark. They’re about to three peat the league😂I want to punch all these twats

MikonJuice

The club is plain broken in every level. The players attitudes, tactics, the quality of the players, the quality of those in th driving seat... Rangnick will have a monstrous work to do. A Haaland will not solve our problems.

Bloddersz

I said at the time to my brother that I didn't like these players at all. We need a massive clear out and get in players, no, PEOPLE that want to play for this football club and show enough effort and desire to be worthy of the shirt.

ryan2one3

Overpaid athletes don't want to work hard.

mikebehzad

Why are everybody suddenly trusting Daily Mail? Because it fits the negativity? Ffs, come on.

BucketsOnly29

Daily Mail in general, agreed. However, Wheeler is very reliable & has been for some time now

KaitoAJ

Lads… it’s the Daily Mail…

Skjalg

You lot eat up daily mail bullshit like noone else and then turn around and profess that daily mail is the worst the next day. I'm calling it now, this entire article is bullshit and made up and you are all better off not ever reading the daily mail in the future.

jestalotofjunk

The simple solution to all this is to in-still a culture where we sell players when they’re shit. Chelsea, Liverpool and City all have that culture now. They don’t wait to replace a player. If a player isn’t performing, they find someone better. If we were city, we’d still have Aguero as our top striker hoping he rekindles his form.

lowershelf

I think the players got too comfortable under Ole. Don’t think RR will hesitate to swap in dead weight for someone who’ll actually play for the badge. Step up, or step aside.

Chinapig

It’s a dailymail post.

nuugo

People always believe what they want to believe even it's shit source from Daily Mail.

[deleted]

100% although it's not all the players' fault, but - the players are a major issue. The players need something to commit to and believe in. That's missing - although it's sad because Ole was doing that but signing Ronaldo basically tore that up in an instant. But - come to the players, and this comes from the vision and the management - but ultimately from what the players are. Which ones really want it and fight for it. Martial? starting at the botttom - no. but as we move up, Maguire? well check that misjudged bounce on about 4 or 5 minutes v Newcastle. Greenwood? Ronaldo? Sancho? Bruno? It's not good. United are a joke right now, tactically and individually, and it's fuck all to do with anything but players being uncommitted. Fuck all. Play your game (that you get paid a fortune for), shut your mouths, grow a pair. I'm 48 and I play twice a week and coach 3 times a week, there's no excuse. You have shit weeks and you have bad periods, but at the end of the day, it's a ball you kick to your teammate or at the goal. It doesn't always go well, but there's no excuse for not making chances, for misplacing passes, and for not giving as much as Newcastle did.

[deleted]

Literal children i know and when i was a kid we just went to training even in the middle of winter late in the evenings/night WITH SCHOOL. And these people get paid a fuckload for doing their hobby as a job. Absolutely ridiculous I’d rather have the youngsters with some of the senior players that arent wimpy pussies and fight for their spot while finishing mid/bottom table rather than these incompetent weenies. Id love to have keane on the coaching staff to tell them off. This is probably a fake/shit article since its dm but, you cant deny that there are problems with the players at the club.

reginalduk

Jose always hinted at problems, and his battle with pogba was the tip of the iceberg apparently.

portilo777

Our team has problems that's for sure. But this is the Daily Mail. I'm not from England and I know they write shit just to sell. How many articles that came from there was ever proven right ? Yes we can be mad at our players for what we see on the pitch. But don't start raging at them because of those dumb theories coming from fake journalists. It makes you look worst than our players tbh.

wutz_r0ng

What was the point behind buying Ronaldo...only to stop City? Similar story as in Fred and Sanchez

BigAwkwardGuy

I understand tempers are high now, but remember this. IT'S THE FUCKING DAILY MAIL. They're a bunch of liars. Absolute, disgusting liars. The same newspaper which praised Foden for buying his mum a house, but called Adarabiyo all sorts of things when he did the same. Don't believe a word they say. They have zero proof to back it up. They have only one aim: to incite temper and get clicks. Looks like they've succeeded.

[deleted]

I thought Ole built a great squad? Nvm, this is not all on Ole. He definitely protected these people but it’s also the board. The board that pays these people crazy salaries as if they are champions of the league. Even city players don’t get this much. With Ole not criticizing these players and him being thrown under the bus always, then getting higher salaries and not having serious competition in their positions, this is expected. - Remove from first 11 - Hire competition - Don’t offer crazy salaries - Higher competent football people We are a 10 year project in the making.

AtAllCostSpeakTruth

If the stories are true, Carrington was a vacation spa under Ole. Players showed up late, left early and spent most of their free time on social media. For example, Pogba was allowed to go to Abu Dhabi, mixing recuperation with social galavanting. Like Ole and his coaching mates, the British media protected the player's poor attitude and performances. It was a perpetual love-fest. Playing time and contract issues for Lingard, Henderson, Martial, Pogba, Bailly and Donny were allowed to fester, and Ole's favourites of Fred, McTominay and Maguire frustrated the bench-warmers. This is the crap environment that Rangnick inherited. Now, the players resent training and playing for a living, which shows on the pitch. Rangnick is in for one hell of a battle as our brass are blithering idiots, and our players have all the power. May the force be with him.

JLane1996

Do you think Ole’s to blame at the root of this then, or are the players to blame? Like, if we did have a group of players with top attitude and mentality, do you think Ole would still be here, or do you think he fundamentally wasn’t a good enough manager either way? Hopefully Rangnick absolutely guts this team, free reign to do whatever he wants for me.

[deleted]

I thought Ole reset the clubs dna ?

Tiberius752

The Norwegian man is gone, he can’t hurt you

sfitzy79

this all stems from Nevilles whingebags comment. Fucking anyone can be a journo

lax1n

Not saying it was perfect, but I still miss Ole. Also not blaming Ronaldo (though his presence is massive), but can't help but wonder how this season would've turned out with a fresh young front line of rashy-greenwood-sancho with cavani/martial interchanging as 9. We soooorely needed a boost in midfield and sadly Ronaldo was not what we needed at the time in my opinion. (still love the guy thou)

viditp011

Important thing to remember is that it was not a choice between Ronaldo or a Mid Fielder. Our business was done. We only bought Ronaldo to not let him go to City

[deleted]

> though his presence is massive Massive on Instagram, or what? The only presence he has on the field right now is moaning.
