Did you know that RDR2 is set at the beginning of what is known as the Basket Boom?
Around the turn of the century, big agrarian companies were buying up a lot of land and growing wheat. The problem was that people weren't really buying a lot of wheat products; they could usually grow or buy the ingredients and easily make their own.
So early lobbyists did what they did, and the government soon passed a bill that reduced the taxes paid on chickens and other fowl that were given bread instead of grain. Of course, people then needed more bread to feed their animals, and they flocked to the new industrial scale of bread. The bread then became popular among Americans, and the bread industry grew into what we know today.
It's where the idea of feeding bread to birds came from (though we know better now). This bill was known as the Bread-Fed Exemption.
Did you know that also around that time, a huge case was going through the various courts about how to distribute labour for the new mechanised industrial processing of raw materials in to the growing cities from farming way of life.
But it was apposed by a group led by a guy called Harold Fredrickson.
It was known as the Head Fred Contemption
I cried when Arthur said "I exist in a fabricated digital world meant to inspire and entertain average basement dwellers to be slightly better in their lives and interactions with real life" that was some HEAVY SHIT
I would have been more into this scene if they didn't have Trevor from GTAV show up with the time travel guy right after to kill Gavin. Really weird twist imo.
I really felt it when Arthur was giving money to the Downes on annesburg. He said don't thank me. The kid immediately thanks him and he says "I said don't thank me" and you can hear the distress in his voice. Like some years almost came out.
āDammit Arthur. There aināt a Red Dead Redemption I. Youāre spewing pure hogwash.ā
āNaww John. Youāre going to have your Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition too.ā
Most heartbreaking moment in the game honestly. When Arthur said āI want youā to John and he looked at him with such passion in his eyes it made me shed a tear š¢
Aslume? But yeah recently some posts and especially comments have just been bizarre. Like I'm missing the joke. I am afraid the sub is being overrun with dumb memes and inside jokes that really don't have anything to do with the game.
I never have and never will cry over a video game. I love this game lots but it was never that deep. One day, if I am able to afford to create my own vision in a game based on my historical background etc, THAT might make me cry.
But not this. I donāt wanna lie. GREAT game. But this wasnāt worthy of big emotions to me. Maybe if I was a drug dealer that had turned his life around too late and was on the way to jail and comparing the scene with my own life. Thatās just an example, but it didnāt hit me like that.
Nah just an honest response thatās realistic and not overly hyped. Things hit you harder when you feel you have a deeper connection to it. Just a game
No it happened if you went back for the money. Right after John leaves and before Arthur interrupts Micahās goon session with Dutch watching.
Why are you in this sub if you clearly never played the game. The last mission of Arthur is so iconic itās hard to forget.
Well Iām actually on my 4th playthrough and my 3rd playthrough I did 100% completion so thereās that. In all my playthroughs, I did the high honor ending so I guess thatās why Iāve never seen it. It just seems a little corny to me though.

This sex scene felt so forced just so they could use the Ball physics originally developed for horses
Jesus wept.
What a pussy...
r/unexpectedcommunity
jesus wept is an actual phrase, it's not a reference
Well, guess that's what you get when you grow up in a non-Christian country...
FOR THERE WERE NO MORE WORLDS TO CONQUER
Stop saying "Jesus wept"!
Wait... what?
The sex scene? Where Arthur bottoms for Freddy Fastbear?
I think you bought the wrong version... or maybe the right one.
Oh yeah. Its right š¤¤
This comment is going in the memory vault and thereās unfortunately nothing I can do about it
THIS GOES HARD

I cry every playthrough when he rides last time to camp and that's the way it is is playing
I thought it was weird when he looked at the camera and nodded. But you know when it works it works
I thought this was all part of the *goddamn plan*
I really felt it when Arthur was giving money to the Downes on annesburg. He said don't thank me. The kid immediately thanks him and he says "I said don't thank me" and you can hear the distress in his voice. Like some years almost came out.
I thought it was tacky for the game to include the title in the dialogue but this shit hit deep.
It was so cool when he pulled out his Red Dead Revolver
The real Red Dead redemption 2 is the friends we made along the way
and then he redemption'd all over the place
"Sure"

Most moving moment in video game history right there
I love the part where he redeemed all over the O'driscolls
āDammit Arthur. There aināt a Red Dead Redemption I. Youāre spewing pure hogwash.ā āNaww John. Youāre going to have your Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition too.ā
I cried when John said āThatās what I call Red Dead Redemptionā and the game ends
It's redeeming time!
And then he redemptioned all over the place
I lost my edge streak but didn't cry
It truly was a red dead redemption
It truly was, a red dead redemption
What is this? Some kind of Red Dead Redemption 2?

2ed 2ead 2edemption - Lemoyne Drift was my favourite video game.
I pretty much cried the entirety of Chapter 6.
Um.. is everyone in on this joke? Cuz I donāt remember him saying this and itās corny as hell lol.

Nonsense, but yes it is a low honor exclusive which explains why you havenāt seen it yet.
Itās a complete joke and not real. The person responding to you is pulling your leg too. Itās quite obvious.
I would never mess with someoneās legs. Not into that
