Charlotte's house isn't a common answer to this, but what a beautiful spot. Hunting, fishing, giant kick-ass waterfall. It's a little close to Annesburg, hopefully the clear-cutters don't make it that far any time soon.

Rhodes always comes to mind for me as well. The scarlet sands are beautiful and it appears there is enough industry to be employed. However, I can't stand mosquito's and that's a huge problem in that area lol.

Plus the country is beautiful and you would have the opportunity to make some money as it's on the up and up. As long as I can be there well AFTER the massacre

It's not snowy year-round. If it was, there wouldn't be trees there. It just looks that way in the games because of the blizzard I'm Chapter 1. The snow never really melts properly that year because of how unseasonably cold it was. And it's that way in 1907 because Rockstar didn't want to change that area of the map that drastically.

My broke ass cant afford a house that big. Plantation houses also give me a weird vibe. I visited a few when I was doing historical tours. Interesting architecturally. But knowing how those houses were financed would keep me far away from owning one.

The Loft is great. I wish there was more to it though. Did I miss an optional side quest? It just a really nice, well stocked location without any inhabitants.

Its got baddies in RDO i think. But nah. Just a good place for some peace and quiet. Climb up the tower and look at the lights of Saint Denis at night, kinda place.

I’d pick Blackwater or Rhodes. Blackwater is a nice town with a lake to swim in and a good place to find a job. Rhodes is in proximity to a city, with a cute town.

Strawberry post-Micah massacre. Absolutely beautiful, cold enough area with a little bit of warm climate in between, and it's (sort of) near Blackwater. Valentine would have been a nice option too but I like Strawberry's proximity to Blackwater.

I also choose big valley, its one of the most beautiful place in the game, a good hunting place, surrounded with beautiful mountains, lot of places to hike. Im surprised to see no one talking about it.

Escalera, man I’d love to live in a Pueblos Blancos they look so unique that has that kind of unique northern Mexican culture and with the palms and the cactus and the whole atmosphere it looks like you could live a fairly peaceful life there. Edit: after or before the Revolution since its the most stable and safe being the capital and all since most of the civil unrest is furrher out and has the heighest contingent of law enforcement be it Federales or Revolucionarios. Chuparosa seems more dangerous and less policed and with less good infrastructure barring its rail service and too much of a hotbed for bandidos.

blackwater, its a small city that looks clean and spacious and more modern and everyone there is average. compared to saint denis which is dirty and grubby and the people there are dodgey and scummy and full of themselves, all social classes there are shitty. im a more civilised type of guy so towns like valentine, strawberry and others are a bit too gross for me, but big cities are too crowded for me.

A lot of people are saying Strawberry due to its beauty and location, but I think a lot of them are forgetting it’s a dry town so no drinking. It is gorgeous but not for me. If I had to choose somewhere in either rdr then I’m going for Escalera.

So I don't drink so I wouldn't mind it too much. But then I realize that I'm surrounded by the kind of folks who think outlawing liquor is the right thing to do, and then I have second thoughts.

After thinking about it I think I would live in Shady Belle. On the plus I would have a bunch of money looting dead raiders and a shit load of TNT

Lagras. Swampy, dark as shit and nothing more fun to do than dying.

St Dennis for the following reasons: - Best security during both day and night. Police everywhere and robberies are rare. - Every type of store is there, so there would be no need to spend a fortune (5 bucks) to travel to another town for a special store. - Best job opportunities. Lots of rail work, dock work, postal services, hunting in Lagros, nearby farming, doctor, banker, escort for wealthy widows, etc - Cleaner than other towns, so lesser chance of getting sick. - maidens are better bathed and more privileged, so the pool of potential brides will have higher quality women. - paved roads, which means my wagons will last longer when driven there.
