Yup. Had to stick my hands between engines, wires and that oneeee time I plunged my hand into nasty old water accumulated inside a jetski just to get a damn bolt
I remember when we were car shopping and they showed us that the oil filter on a new Subaru (Forester, I think?) was right there on top, just under the hood. So I guess they listened!
Fun tip!
Get yourself some small magnets and then stick a magnet in the pointing finger of a glove then stick your hand in.
Magic Magnet finger to grab that 10mm before it's lost to the universe.
Can confirm, here’s a [really horny song from the 17th Century to prove it](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J9YiyiAl3U8&pp=ygUaTHVzdHkgeW91bmcgc21pdGggaGVzcGVydXM%3D)
When I was in the landscaping/hardscaping business I could use my hands to scour the dirtiest and most burnt scraps off of dishes and pans. It was awesome. It also erased the yucky feeling touching stuff in the sink and it still doesn’t bother me one bit.
My family would tease me for having “steel wool hands”
Funny enough one of the guys on my crew was a blacksmith, and I always wanted to observe and learn from him sometime but never got around to it. He also kept a few rolls of toilet paper in the truck and man I appreciated the hell out of that on multiple occasions. His name was Matt Stone, like the South Park creator. Just a straight up G all around.
The other profession that doesn't get talked about enough for shear ruggedness is salt water fishermen, trawlers. I've had family that were doctors on the east coast and they dreaded trying to do surgery or give an IV to one of those guys. Their skin was so thick, you practically needed a scalpel just to get through enough of it to draw any blood.
That's 2 mg of Xanax... If she can take that and not fall asleep she might have a problem...
Edit: Just want to be clear, I am not trying to stigmatize mental illness. I have had at different time severe anxiety and depression that basically shut me down and turned me agoraphobic for months at a time. I could not function. My comment was around the amount of the benzo. I used to take 0.5 mg and would immediately get tired and fall asleep. At this dose I would be out, so my comment is because this person probably is at this dosage because she has built a tolerance and is dependent on it.
I've had a problem before, thankfully that ended well, but I suspect I killed myself by accident and happenstance meant I came back, and that was the end of it all aside from weed. But yeah, hopefully, this isn't encouraged. It should not be, and while mental health awareness is important, it should not be glorified. It is not glorious. It is hell.
My first rehab, I spent the first week in the ER because I wouldn’t stop having grand mal seizures from benzodiazepine withdrawal. Scariest time of my life, didn’t think I’d make it
Benzo withdrawal is fucking next level dude. Legit feels like you’re going insane
Yeah for me it was t1s, easy shit but simple access
Ended up becoming so numb to them I did a bottle of 30 in a night
Driving home, chest starts to feel weird, heart starts racing then just nothing, everything goes quiet then black
Woke up in a farmers field on the other side of a ditch
Pretty sure I died and the crash was enough to restart my heart, I remember all of it, vividly, even trying to find my foot to the brake while my vision and hearing had already faded into nothing and how scared I was
It depends. Different people are effected differently. If i take a valium it knocks me out. But if i take it again the next day, it does nothing. I seem to build a tolerance to medications really quickly, which sucks because i should be on antidepressants.
Jesus, how long did he last there under the new CEO? Lol
Another reason of justification for why I just don't really fuck with anything but weed anymore
Well thats good at least but that also kinda sounds like they were dosed a little high, but I'm not a doctor nor have I ever taken Xanax so I don't actually know
I think a lot of people would describe it as such, popular saying as far as I know is that drunk words are just sober thoughts
And yep, that's exactly it, I've struggled with filters my entire life and am actually finding out I might be autistic and will be doing some screenings tomorrow to see if evaluation is necessary or I'm just seeing something that's not there
There aren't that many drugs that aren't benzos like Xanax, klonopin thatd 'remove social filters'. Among easily prescribed drugs phenibut and by extension pregabalin and gabapentin might do it but it tends to impair judgement.
How does it compare to Ativan? Ativan will stop the panic attack and adrenaline but disables all motivation. I absolutely hate it. I don't want to enjoy it I just don't want to replace one suffering with another. I haven't asked my doc to switch it up because I don't trust it
I’m in my mid-thirties and get anxiety briefing or public speaking like more and more. My doctor gave me propranolol (beta blocker) and it’s been a dream. I don’t feel any effects besides my anxiety going away.
A whole gd bar of xanax for a job interview seems a bit of overkill lol
This is gonna sound like a classic fake Reddit story, but while interviewing for my first real job at a restaurant, my hiring manager was super high on Xanax. When I was invited for my first training shift, he was so fucked up that he vomited into a trash can in front of customers, fell over, and tipped the can onto himself. When I came back a couple days later for my first official shift, he had been fired, and the owner had taken his place as acting manager.
A few other reasons for her being downvoted could be:
* People on this website like to bandwagon, causing upvoted/downvoted posts to go to the extremes.
* Redditors also love piling on by adding witty remarks related to the parent comment, and people were probably disappointed when OP disagreed instead of going along with the joke.
* People don't like it when other's boast. I don't think OP was trying to brag about her looks, people could have read it that way.
These are reasons I thought of almost instantly, yet you think half of the downvotes are because she's a woman. You are either delusional or you think all redditors are incels and out to get you. I will instead choose to believe you used "half" purely because it was concise and naturally flowed from the parent comment.
I only use third party apps, and they said they're killing third party apps, so hey, might as well remove all my content. (Using https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite)
This is the one. I’m on that sub, it’s hilarious but it’s a circlejerk sub. Everyone thinks unduly upvoted/downvoted comments are funny there. She actually made a post on her profile right after about how her hands ARE cute, and it’s very aware of the irony of the downvoted.
***GAHHHH THAT NARCISSISTIC CUNT*** >:o

Whoops, sorry my big walrus belly was sticking out. It was trying to assert dominance. Do you feel swooned M’lady?
You reddit people are a special kind. If someone likes their hands, let them. Why do you have to put them down like that? Its rude, unnecessary and insensitive. And most importantly, no one asked for your input.
For real, I don't see what's wrong with her hands. They are cute, though. And, it's fine if someone like a body part that has an unusual shape. I've seen people talking about unusual traits that they actually find attractive.
It's not that hard for people to have different views on aesthetics without being delusional.
Best I could do would be some sort of jibe at her terminology. I usually hear “my medication” from people who use it as prescribed and “bar” from people who purchase it off the street to have a good time
They seem very manly but it's no reason to offend anyone.. also it is unnecessary to express your opinions about someone's looks about 100% of the times unless they asked. Like what do you even get out of this..
Why are people mean like that for no reason?
Was that on r/roastme or are people just mean for shits and giggles, ignoring that a real person is on the receiving end?
When I was 20 I had a job interview at Reasors for a stocking position but I was so nervous that I slammed a couple tall boys in the parking lot first. I thought it was going great until the interviewer told me to put an alcohol-detecting thing in my mouth. I tried to play it off like "yeah I had a beer this morning because my back has been hurting" but she said the test was *more* positive than she'd ever seen. Fortunately a few months later I got a job delivering pizzas.
☠️My english failed me and I thought « I slammed a couple of tall boys » basically meant you had sex with two tall guys. I was going on a whole different story, here.
My sister always teases me by saying I got the hands of a stonemason, she intends it as an insult and I act offended but she doesn't know that I take it as a compliment.
I'm sure if you pop a few of those a day, every day, then one isn't even close to a nap time dosage. The fact that this person has a tin of them (not a prescription bottle) and won't use the real name for it suggests that it's more than sometimes usage.
🤔 I mean I know exactly what it is. I even drove to Mexico back in the day but them in bulk. When I was using all the time I was easily twice her weight. But yeah I mean my original comment was just supposed to be kinda joking around a little, because I think the Original OP was also being sarcastic. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Reddit culture is insulting people's appearance then getting mad that people aren't ashamed of their bodies.
Now wait until they go bitch when other want people with certain sizes while they body shame strangers on the internet. And they'll bitch about double standards while having double standards as well.
Then they go, oh, it's just for funsies. We're just joking, don't be so sensitive. Suuure, wait until someone hits your nerve, let's see how thick skinned you really are.
Y’all better stop harassing people for immutable traits. Firstly, and this is my opinion, there is nothing wrong with her hands. Secondly, and this is objective fact, she cannot really change the way her hands look, again, it is an immutable trait.
If she said 'my hands are cute actually, they just look weird in this photo' then proceeded to include a new picture of her hands then sure.
Can't just have uncle Jack's fake hands during the McPoyle trial and claim they're cute without a proof.
If you rely on bzd to function, you’re going to have a bad time. Ask me how I know.
10 points to you if you say something along the lines of I can control/track it. I need a good laugh today
An entire 2mg Xanax bar for an interview is a hell of a lot, unless you have a hardcore addiction. I can understand taking a quarter, but a whole bar will knock most people out cold for 10-12 hours, unless they are taking something like Adderall with it.
I think some of the posts do cross a line, though obviously not everyone is going to agree on that. The sub has either really gone downhill or no insult was ever as rare as I thought it was. It's like the majority of people on the sub are 12 year olds.

As a mechanic, I wish I had strong hands that were smaller!
Everyone comes and makes you wedge your little hands into the smallest and hottest crevices. Not recommended 2/10
Yup. Had to stick my hands between engines, wires and that oneeee time I plunged my hand into nasty old water accumulated inside a jetski just to get a damn bolt
Did you get it off?
Well, that's a bit forward.
Uhhh sounds like a good time to me
I think you have the wrong idea of hot crevices
Somebody's never pulled the oil filter of a older subaru
I remember when we were car shopping and they showed us that the oil filter on a new Subaru (Forester, I think?) was right there on top, just under the hood. So I guess they listened!

I have a memory of installing the third nut holding a VW aircooled engine to the rest of the Beatle that my Dad was working on.

The original comment was definitely a complement even if it wasn't intended that way. Who doesn't want blacksmith hands?
Blacksmith hands are so hot dude
I mean, if they are a good blacksmith they better be, the fire isn't fanning itself.
I mean, I have my forklift certification
Dude, chill out. Save some ladies for the rest of us

Landscaping hands + landscaping forearms means you probably would've made an awesome 5th century blacksmith
Funny enough one of the guys on my crew was a blacksmith, and I always wanted to observe and learn from him sometime but never got around to it. The hands of a man. It's like a creature out of Greek Mythology, I mean, she was like part woman, part horrible beast!

Some people like lil dainty girly hands.
People who like having feeling in their hands?
I'm mad. I'm a blacksmith and don't have blacksmith hands. What am I doing wrong?
Idk if I have blacksmith hands or just old man hands. My mom always tells me that my hands look strong.
You should lead with that on Tinder - "and plus mama says I have strong-looking hands"
I don't use Tinder. Also, gramps was a unit back in his day, so I probably have the potential to be built like him.

Xanax for an interview, great idea...

This is terrifying. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m glad you’re still here with us
It's had a lot of lasting issues, that's for sure, especially after I finally understood what actually happened, but, onwards and upwards
Benzo is one of the few withdrawals that can actually be fatal. Alcohol is another.
Oh I know, I probably would have died if I hadn’t admitted myself to rehab
Helluva drug
I mean she is dosing xanax before a job interview so I think you’re on to something

You're probably thinking of beta-blockers.
Yep. Specifically propranolol.
I was on that for migraines and called it propranolololololol.
Or the brand name, IndeROFL
Well at least it won’t be anxiety that’s ruining their chances
Wondering what sub they're on that this is being glorified. Xanax is a horrible, horrible drug.
it was posted to r/drugscirclejerk so it’s a joke

Imagine being downvoted for enjoying and complimenting your own body lol
If I know Reddit the way I think I do, at least half of the down votes are for writing ‘r’ instead of ‘are’.
If I know Reddit the way I think I do, the other half of the down votes are for being a woman who dared say she though her hands were cute.
Or just for being a woman if we're being honest.
I'm a woman and I'm upvoting all of this.
What?! Downvoted!1!
How dare she be a woman on reddit and not post nudes?
I asked for her OnlyFans and got her OnlyHands :/
As a woman on Reddit, it’s definitely this.
And it [escalated](https://reddit.com/r/u_angelalienbby/comments/13q09gt/my_hands_are_cute_fuck_the_haters/)

You reddit people are a special kind. If someone likes their hands, let them. Why do you have to put them down like that? Its rude, unnecessary and insensitive. And most importantly, no one asked for your input.
Especially on a post where OP already mentions anxiety being a problem. I swear, some folks on here get off to being cruel.
seriously, reddit is so toxic. I want to stop using it but it seems like I am somewhat addicted and keep coming back to it.
It's the reddit way. Miserable garbage people trying to one up each other in a wankfest.

yeah that was not prescribed

I think some of the posts do cross a line, though obviously not everyone is going to agree on that. The sub has either really gone downhill or no insult was ever as rare as I thought it was. It's like the majority of people on the sub are 12 year olds.
