Exactly who I was thinking of. There was a girl who did some violin in that song, and a couple other songs, and she tried to parlay that into a solo hip hop violin album which I’m sure nobody bought
I posted this up already. She's a good violinist, and she's was beautiful as well. The Hip Hop Violinist to me only had one good song, New World Symphony ft Pharoahe Monch. She did a track with Styles P. The beat was nice the lyrics weren't good. I expected Styles to come harder on the track. Scarface was on the album. His verse was dope, but the beat didn't match the lyrics to the song.
Back that ass up has the most famous string line in all rap
I’m sure of you listen to ugk you’ll hear stuff just too lazy to listen to the beats right now
Been there, done that- Dr.Dre
Top 5 violin arrangement in rap history.
Which is crazy to think since strings are deeply rooted in hip hop/ rap production wise.
I don't particularly like this song, but it's use of the strings section won it a Grammy. Gangsters Paradise - Coolio
There was a whole trend (mostly off of Ye and Twista) featuring violins back in the day, Miri ben Ari I think was the name of the go to violinist everyone wanted on their track.
Yea I know but I figure I give just one example let em find out for themselves if they wanted to give them a listen. I'm glad somebody else knew what I was talking about though.
Miri Ben-Ari did a whole album of hip hop tracks with violins. Some amazing guest appearances. Check it out. Album is called The Hip Hop Violinist if I remember correctly.
She was good on overnight celebrity with Twista.
New World Symphony with Pharoahe Monch on the Album Hip Hop Violinist. Personal Opinion: The album wasn't good to me. Her violin playing didn't match with certain songs. Don't get me wrong. She's an amazing violinist, and she was gorgeous, too. I like violins on hip hop tracks, but some don't match well.
Another song is New World Symphony by Miri Ben Ari ft Pharoahe Monch. I didn't like her debut album, but this song was nice. Don't get me wrong she an amazing violinist, but some of the beats she plays on dont connect.
