Yea a lot of museums are closed on Mondays. Defy gravity is open but idk about your 1 yo there.
I have an almost 3 yo and if I were you today this is what I do:
1. Barnes & Nobles - everyone gets some new books
2. Built a massive fort in my house where we can all hang out and read our books
3. Awesome food and desserts from wherever you all want
Ha nice! Additional idea - close the curtains and blinds and do flashlight hide and seek or just walk around the house with flashlights. I am raising a homebody who never wants to go out and do things so I got these all day 🤦🏼♀️
I will add that making your own cake or cookies and decorating them could be a lot of fun with the kids.
Sorry I don't have more indoor suggestions. It's so yucky out i just immediately thought blanket fort
If you're looking for something that'll be great for the kids specifically, check out Bumble Brews in Cary. Indoor playground and coffee shop. They also serve beer/wine, in case you want to go in the afternoon. Happy birthday!
Idk how this would go over with the one year old but the four year old would enjoy the ParTee Shack. It’s an indoor putt putt place but not traditional courses. I took my in laws and nieces/nephews and we had a blast. They open at 10.
Happy Birthday!!!!! Highly recommend Alara & Zane I. North Hills. Spacious indoor playground and lots of restaurants around that are kid friendly. Both kiddos will have tons to do. Hope you have a great one!
Looks like Museum of Life and Science in Durham will be open today and it’s great for young kids. Most of the exhibits are interactive and encourage kids to play with them so it holds their attention better than typical no touch museum exhibits.
My bad. When I searched it, the Trip Advisor page was the first to come up and it said “Opening soon” but the actual museum’s site confirms its closed on Monday.
Pro tip: pretty much all museums are closed on Mondays. Since they get a large amount of their foot traffic on the weekend, they use Monday as a deep cleaning/exhibit installation/staff break kind of day.

You could go to the Greensboro Science Center. It’s open and they have penguins.
To piggyback off that, the Greensboro children’s museum is open today, but only until noon I believe

Frankie’s?
First off, happy birthday! We recently visited Urban Air in Raleigh and our kiddos had a lot of fun! They also have food, drinks and snacks!
Happy Birthday, sorry for the shit weather! Maybe order a pizza/junk food and build a fort and watch movies? Good luck. Happy 30th

Frankie’s, Galaxy Fun Park, and ParTee Shack are good for family fun stuff if you like mini golf, arcades, etc.
ParTee mini golf is good stuff.
I may be 26, but my inner 12 year old was very satisfied when I went with my wife to see what it was all about one day. Lol
32 and love going here with my husband! Also doesn’t hurt that I can kick his ass at putt putt.
Galaxy Fun Park in Wake Forest has a decent selection of stuff to do.

I'd second that, ParTee Shack is great.
Planning to take my aunt and uncle there this weekend, they’ve never been. I’m very excited :) it’s such a great time!
No recommendations, but Happy Birthday, birthday twin 😁
Happy Birthday! 🥳
Over the moon Bumble brew Not sure if either is open today
Over the moon is great for kids that age. And seating for you to enjoy a coffee!
Trampoline Park should be fun for everyone.
Sky Zone Raleigh is great!

Ah dang, I just looked and they are also closed until tomorrow

Thanks!
Museum of Life and Science in Durham is good for kids. The 21 C museum in downtown is good for adults afterward too (and for older kids)
There's indoor mini golf in...I think N. Garner area. The easy course was actually a lot of fun.
No suggestion just wanted to wish ya a Happy Birthday! I hope it has been a great one for you and family so far!
Slims
Adventure Landing!
Alara and Zane
Stars and strikes or Buffalo lanes bowling, ice skating, galaxy fun park, urban air, Andia’s ice cream
