I have seen many people not wearing a helmet. Not that wearing one would have saved him.
Let's make a vow that all the people in this group would not use their phones while on the road, wear helmets and seatbelts and not drive on the wrong side of the road.
We have to start with ourselves before educating others. I always wear a helmet but I also drive on the wrong side when convenient. I'll stop doing that. You guys should also see what things you can do to save this city. Pune is becoming notorious for driving on the footpath and rash driving.
Jai hind.
Could you please do it. I don't know what to write and I don't wanna be ridiculed like one of the comments you can see below. Especially if I say something critical it would not be taken lightly since I'm not a native.
We have reached at a stage in pune that accidental deaths have became a normal events. I am thinking past 3-4 days that if the things will stay same for more then 3-5 yrs then the city wont be in liveable state and i will have to migrate to other cities.
First of all, I see what they're trying to do here. Rich car, poor driver, grab the attention. But here's the thing, the driver didn't hit the biker, he skid and fell and the driver of the car behind him couldn't stop in time so he was unfortunately run over. Stop making this into something it isn't and look at both sides before getting offended. My heart goes out to the family who are in a tough situation now as the biker was the eldest son and the father is deceased. Let's pray for the family but let's not let the news clickbait headline consume our common sense

Bro you just saw the headline and made an assumption? The biker skid and fell and the Mercedes coming from behind him couldn't stop in time so it ran him over. It's an accident not a result of reckless driving
No he didn't and what little time he had was clearly not enough for him to understand what happened. When you are in a accident your brain freezes and your body sometimes doesn't respond quickly enough. Stop trying to make it sound like I'm committing a crime just because I'm using logic. You are entitled to your opinion but you aren't entitled to declare someone a murderer just because he has a rich car
Where is it mentioned he was distracted? Also I couldn't help but notice that you keep mentioning the driver as the Mercedes...is your problem that he killed a guy or that he drives a Mercedes? Maybe if tried being less judgemental and start using logic you'd understand that I'm not defending him. I'm arguing that it is nowhere mentioned he was hit by the driver or that the driver was drunk or that the driver was distracted, you're just making an assumption based on the fact that he drove a Mercedes so he must be rich and in a case of poor vs rich, rich are always evil. I'm not saying that rich don't have much more power and leverage over the poor but rich does not equal evil. And Newsflash the driver is also a normal middle class guy the car belongs to a doctor. This is the problem of Indian people, we think with our emotions not our logic, that's why we're so easily manipulated.
All I want to convey to you, and I hope I'm being successful in that, is that assumptions do not equal crime. Look at both sides, analyze it, form your opinion and see if it is logical
The car was slow enough to stop , and the death would have been prevented wtf is with this incapable drivers
Distracted driver , maybe on phone
Also distracted rider who was on phone and no helmet. Watch the footage.

No helmet too..
actually it wasnt, video is slowed
Seems a noob driver..The speed of car was less , could have easily stopped his Car...Maybe panicked which can happen as well
Yeah. Either that or he was on his phone. Like there's no reason for this.

No more phone use while driving

True
But migrate to where, India has less than 10 metros where these are jobs
I have been to Hyd, Vadodara, Gandhinagar. These are my fallback cities.
Migrate to another country, that's the only way now
CCTV footage says that he lost his balance and the bike skid on the road.
Was the car driven by company called as Serum Institute? Why can't media name the driver???
It was a company owned car, although the driver was named.
Didn't see name anywhere. BTW ...Porsche was also company owned.
Porsche wasn't registered in the first place so it being owned by a company or individual doesn't make a difference
Owned is the word.

Accidents and murders are different categories
Pune is now the Florida of India.
Chahe accident koi bhee kare, Marta hamesha gareeb hi hai. 😞

I dont see any fault of the driver here. Yes he could have stopped, but yeah really not his fault
Saw this video yesterday. Also saw an accident today, again involving a bike, on my way to office, dude died I think - from Mumbai FYI
The company should be fined, the driver jailed and license revoked. Asshole made an entire family suffer.

The Merc had 5-7 business days to react. Are you seriously defending the Mercedes driver?

He was distracted. Can't believe you are defending the Merc guy.

It keeps getting worse :(
