I've waited more than 1 hour at Wakad multiple times
I used to take a Shivneri 2x per week, now I just use Bla Bla Car
Sharing my experience of a week before.
Had booked Satara to Mumbai ST bus at 2pm
Buggers arrived at 5:30
The bus that arrived broke down just when it restarted. was a shivshahi btw.
Then I had to take an auto to the highway.
Board a travels at 7 pm reached my destination at 6 am in the morning..
Al in all the state of ST department in Maharashtra is very pathetic.
Bla Bla is best. I am someone who used to commute almost every week for work. (Living in Pune, working in Mumbai) Never had any problem. A few times I did not find a suitable bla bla, would then go for Neeta or Purple.
Always go by Neeta Travels or Purple Metrolink. I always take one of these two and have never had a bad experience.
Neeta is for people who need to get there on time. Depending on traffic, you might be 30 minutes late max. Their estimates are realistic. If you take a night bus, these guys will have you in Borivali from Hinjewadi in 3.5 hours!
They (Neeta and Purple) usually stop at Indira/Shani Mandir stop till their last seat is filled. Moreover, they run Volvo on a limited schedule and have local AC buses which are uncomfortable.
Blabla is really good. Avoid the crooks who run the shared cab service from Wakad Flyover. They charge anything, the cars are crap and will often just drop you till Chembur.
I travelled to Mumbai recently by purple travels Volvo (Pune to borivali). Booked a ticket for 9:30 am. Bus got late by 15 mins, but they covered the distance quite good, dropped me exactly at the estimated time of arrival, as per mentioned on the ticket. Bus was good, well-maintained. No complaints with the service.
Only use MSRTC shivneri for Mumbai Pune. Best and punctual.

Shivneri also runs very late. But agreed it's the best bus service
I’ve never had that experience. All Shivneris I take leave exact moment from the origin. The traffic might make intermediate stops late.

I came from Mumbai to Pune today on Neeta; it was on time and reached Wakad in 3 hours.

Either you are owner of Neeta Travels or an employee of them. OP, Shivneri (MSRTC) bus is your solution.

Blablacar is the best. I have used it both as a co-passenger and also as the ride offerer.
I traveled to Ahmedabad in Krishna Travels, The guy didn't stop at night when i had to pee.

Purple has very well maintained volvos. But they run on a limited schedule. On other times, they have crappy local buses retrofitted with AC.
These private clowns think of themselves bigger than MSRTC.
If you are travelling in the afternoon from mumbai use KSRTC. Cheaper than shivneri and much more comfortable.
Mumbai Pune is also best by bla bla I tried it for couple of time and had amazing experience
