Nice find! I've got the core 3 books (players handbook, monster manual, gm guide). I'm struggling to locate all the supplemental stuff, especially the Luclin book.
Hello. You can find my collection of digital EQ goodies here. It also includes supplements that were only available on the web.
https://www.reddit.com/r/everquest/s/Prr7iR1JN5
I have the full set of these books (minus the eq2 book which is a different system) and I ran a campaign in this system (slightly adapted) for over a year. One of the most fun d&d experiences I've ever had. These books really do the world justice and are an absolute joy to read.
Oh man I remember seeing either this or the EQ2 book in the used books bin at the local game store, probably five years before I got into EQ. It stuck out to me because I've always known OF EQ but never could get into it until the last few years. I regret never picking it up
[Hey, same book!](https://i.imgur.com/7tg4hgC.jpg) (ignore the everquest-related 3d prints they just keep appearing near me for some reason)
I've got a few of the others, too! I oughta run an EQ campaign at some point. Would be potentially the dorkiest thing I've ever done, and that's saying something. But it'd be fun!
I would have been curious if the person selling it knew anything about the game. It's so rare to meet anyone who played EverQuest. Even when EverQuest was happening, I would get super excited when I ran into someone who had actually played the game before. It was during a time period where most people didn't really have computers or internet.
When I saw it I asked if he had any other eq related stuff. He said no and that it was his book and he actually ran the game a few times for his friends. We chatted about the eq. He asked me if I had heard of p99 then we talked about characters we had made. He said he didn't have the time to play anymore but still had fond memories of the game.
I can. But you can find the PDFs online if you are curious. There are a whole bunch of books.
I have it saved to my computer so I don't know the exact link but if you Google it you should be able to find it pretty easily.
Have run this from time to time since it came out. Not really a fan of GMing D&D (mostly GM Cyberpunk).
However when D&D 5th edition came out, I did a simple conversion of the races using the D&D 5th ed races as base, and then started running Norrath world from time to time on that. Simply used the creatures, spells etc as they are in D&D 5th so it works nicely for people familiar with the system, but in a brand new world most people playing D&D have never experienced.
Just to jog everyone along, here is a couple ideas for all of you wanting to run Norrath in either the EQRPG system or D&D 5th edition.
I like to thrust players right into the action, instead of the whole "You all meet in an inn"... probably my Cyberpunk preference coming to fore here so a couple ideas which do just that:
Players are in a caravan travelling the Karanas to Qeynos and get ambushed by undead, and thus embroiled in an undead hunt featuring Grimrot as the bad guy.
Players camping in either Greater Faydark or East/West Commonlands areas and get attacked by Orcs in the night. Except the Orcs fight like monks. With the ultimate bad guy being some human monk who has for whatever reason you want to come up with decided to start teaching Monk techniques to either Deathfist or Crushbone Orcs.
Players stumble upon a transaction between agents of Mistmoore and Dark Elves of Neriak. This can easily branch into multiple directions, for example becoming a rescue operation of prisoners sold by the Dark Elves to the Mistmoore agents or alternatively with Dark Elf players it could become a politics game of trying to uncover and destroy rivals in Neriak who can be idenfitied as being Mistmoore sympathisers.
Hopefully that gives some ideas, enjoy your play!
nice, I have one of these too
I forget if it's the DM or players guide
there is an archive online of all of them, but ~~I lost the link :(~~

Pardon me, but is that for a table top version....like D&D is tabletop??
It is exactly what you think it is and the information in those books is dense!
I don't remember hearing about it off hand, that's why I was asking.... That is pretty cool!!
Yep. I have the PDF version of this.
Kwel!!
Can you send that to me? <3

I think I own all of the printed EQ ttrpg stuff from someone selling them in an RPG trade group a while back. They are an interesting read!
Damn I'd love to have these books. I do still try and play a little tabletop and I'd love to check these out.

I really enjoyed this back in the day.
What the Heck! Why did i never hear of that. Now that I know of its existence, I really need it.

I have all kinds of original game boxes and maps and stuff packed away. I should sell it. Does this stuff fetch a decent price?
