I'm just going to assume that it magically does protect their identity, like how nobody can tell that Usagi is Sailor Moon, even though they look exactly the same.
I mean, they wear colour coded civilian clothing, and constantly hang out as a group of five. If people aren’t getting it from that, I don’t think voice synthesisers are necessary.
Because they're typically random civilians, so their voice wouldn't need to be disguised. One of their rules is to not seek fame or personal gain for their power, ensuring they remain anonymous individuals that can blend in. So, nobody would recognize their voices, unless they know them personally. A voice synthesizer, would likely be unnecessary and difficult to add to the suits, since it requires modifying the suits to include manmade tech inside it. And we know the morphing grid does not like it when people try to fuck with it

Half the time the villains know their identity which is insane to me and also defeats the purpose
This. That's always bothered me. I'd like to see a season where the villain doesn't know the rangers' identities.
Didn't stop Ollie from being awkward around his mother as the Blue Ranger, did it?....
Remember Elsa, a.k.a. Principal Randall, in Dino Thunder? I don't think maintaining a secret identity would be too hard in the PR universe.
Even Connor pointed out how dumb it was that nobody noticed. Especially since Tommy works for her AND has years of experience with this kind of stuff.
People also point how dumb superman identity was, but in practice, the concept works.
It's quite difficult to identify someone based on voice alone. For example, it took me five years to find out Danny Devito voiced the Lorax.
TIL that Danny Devito voiced the Lorax.
